When it comes to working out, walking is my vibe. Because I know how essential it is to find a supportive pair of sneakers, I made it my goal to walk 10,000 steps each day, up to five days a week, for the past month to test them out. The sneakers I chose for the task? Reebok's FloatZig 1s. Why did I choose this particular style? I've seen them on so many fitness-minded A-list celebs, including Kelsea Ballerini, Emily Ratajkowski, and Rita Ora, and I was immediately intrigued. I liked the look and I liked the reviews.

I always look for a sneaker that could seamlessly take me from my cardio workouts to my day-to-day errands and support my casual work-from-home attire. I want my footwear to feel great, and at the same time, look great. Did the FloatZig 1s rise to the task and check all my boxes? Let's find out.

The Design of the Shoe Is Light and Airy

The FloatZig 1s are marketed as running shoes "designed to inspire everyone to lace up and get outside." That said, I found them to be the ideal walking sneaker.

The mesh upper is breathable while the foam technology provides excellent bounce and a seamless transition from heel to toe. One of the things I love most about the FloatZig 1s is the thick cushioning of the sole and the lightness of the sneaker; this may very well be the lightest sneaker I've ever owned. By "lightweight," I don't mean that Reebok skimped on one bit of quality. The sneaker offers everything I would expect it to have—and more—with a light, airy style that doesn't weigh me down. It truly lives up to the name; I felt like I was, in a sense, "floating" on my walks.

How the FloatZig 1s Hold Up

I would describe my walk route as pretty much a solid four-part course. There's about 20% pavement, 30% unpaved trails, 40% hills, and 10% flat. I needed a shoe that could endure a solid combination of terrain. My test period consisted of 10,000 steps a day, four to five days each week.

I've walked in my FloatZig 1s for three+ months now, and they're still going strong. There's no sign of wear and tear on the soles; the only areas that are starting to look a bit frayed are the outer sides of each tongue.

They're a Functional Everyday Sneaker

My workout clothes are my everyday "uniform." Having a functional yet fun sneaker as my go-to is a priority for me, as it pulls the entire look together and gets me through each day.

While the everyday pair I chose to test is FloatZig 1's Moonstone / Soft Slate / Black color combo, Reebok offers so many fun statement colors for this style, including Chalk/Sand/Atomic Pink, Grey 1 / Ai Aqua / White, and White / Unleashed Green / Digital Lime.

Other major style points I'd give the FloatZig 1s? I love how the body of the sneaker looks on my feet. I feel many sneakers look either too clunky or too narrow once I lace them up, and I'm simply underwhelmed. The FloatZig 1s provide the ideal shape for my feet, which I've been looking for for quite some time.

This Is Where They'd Fall on My Rating Scale

On a rating scale of one to 10, with 10 being a perfect score, I would give my Reeboks a solid nine. If they didn't develop fraying on the tongues, I would most likely give them a 10. This is a huge rating for me to give, as I test many sneakers and typically find more fault with most of them, whether it's the design or longevity they provide.
