RHOC’s Emily Simpson in Swimsuit Goes On “Boys Only Cruise”

Emily Simpson is cruising with her kids in her bathing suit. In a new social media post, the Real Housewives of Orange County bombshell shows off her incredible body in a swimsuit while on a Royal Caribbean ship with her sons. “Enjoying a Mommy and boys only cruise with @royalcaribbean 💙💙The boys love cruises 🚢 and @royalcaribbean never disappoints! Can’t wait to share more photos of our adventures on the #ovationoftheseas over the next couple of days as we head to Cabo and Ensenada 🏝️,” she captioned the set of Instagram snaps. How does the reality star approach diet and fitness at 49? Here are her top diet and fitness habits.
Being Proud of Her Journey
Emily struggled with her weight for most of her life. In November 2020, she opened up about her weight loss journey in an Instagram post after losing 30 pounds. “I never wanted to show these photos publicly because Im ashamed of where I let myself get, but here I am showing my transformation because I want to be transparent with you all. I worked my butt off to get here and Im so proud of how far Ive come and continue to go! I lost myself and my confidence through gaining 30 lbs. in one year in front of millions of people on a Reality TV Show. Here I am a year and a half later feeling sexy, confident in my own skin, and like the EMILY I am meant to be!” she wrote.
Personal Trainer Sessions
Personal trainer, Paulina Taylor Hefferan, helped Emily achieve her weight loss goals. They work out with at 6 a.m. three days per week. “Sometimes we become too overwhelmed with life, kids, depression, weight gain, hormones, relationships, illness etc, but you have to start somewhere. Make today that day. A year from now will pass by regardless. Might as well make it your healthiest yet,” she captioned this Instagram post. “I have more work to do to get to my ultimate goal. “But I’m enjoying the journey and relishing in the successes.”
No Scales
Emily stays away from the scale. “Not only have I lost significant body fat and several inches, but I’ve gained a new found acceptance of my body. I don’t weigh myself very often because the number on the scale doesn’t define me as a person nor is it wholly indicative of progress. I measure my progress and Heath by other methods of measurement such as endurance, strength, how many times I can walk up the Salt Creek Hill in one day and how I look in my clothes. I’ve changed physically but most importantly I’ve changed mentally. I’ve learned that weight loss doesn’t have to be all in or nothing, you just have to do 1 thing better than the day before. The key to long term results is consistency and having someone in your corner cheering you on!” she revealed in this Instagram post.
Tricks: Hydration and No Late Night Eating
Emily’s “best trick to help with losing weight”? During an Ask Me Anything thread on Instagram, she threw down some major wisdom. “[Don’t] eat past 6 pm and drink lots of water,” she said. “Try it for a week. You’ll see a difference!”
No Calorie Counting
Emily also revealed in an Instagram Story (per Bravo) that there’s another number she doesn’t pay attention to. “I don’t count calories…that’s too much work for me. I just keep staples in my refrigerator at all times: ground turkey, spinach/lettuce, eggs, avocados, tomatoes, shredded carrots, black beans, corn tortillas, salsa [,] vegan cheese (I avoid dairy)…etc.”
