Rita Ora Just Shared the Exact Workout She Does to Stay Fit

She's crushing strength training exercises like a boss.

Rita Ora isn’t just a chart-topping singer and TV star—she’s also serious about staying fit. Whether she’s lighting up the stage with hits like Black Widow or guessing contestants on The Masked Singer, Ora makes sure to carve out time for the gym. In a recent Instagram post captioned "Come to the gym with me," she gave fans an inside look at her workout routine, and it’s packed with powerhouse moves. From treadmill runs to Pilates, here’s exactly how she keeps her body in top shape.

She Strength Trains

Ora is seen using dumbbells and a weighted shoulder press machine in her Instagram video. Both of these are considered strength training exercises. The Mayo Clinic says that strength training has a lot of benefits. “Strength training may enhance your quality of life and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Strength training can also protect your joints from injury. Building muscle also can contribute to better balance and may reduce your risk of falls. This can help you maintain independence as you age.”

She Runs On The Treadmill

The first thing Ora does at the gym is run on the treadmill. Healthy Talbot states that this has a lot of benefits. “Jogging or running on a treadmill helps to lose weight as well as burn fat quickly and effectively. Yet it’s easier on your knees and joints than outdoor running. This is the most popular advantage of working out on a treadmill workouts. Besides, these workouts burn calories at a faster rate than other aerobic exercises. To burn calories even faster, you just need to run longer and faster on the machine.”

She Does Tricep Exercises

Ora is seen doing tricep curls in her Instagram video. Gymless says that all tricep workouts have a lot of benefits. “Our triceps muscles enable us to extend the elbows, and it is a powerful extender of the forearm. Triceps are often used for pushing, which is utilized in our everyday activities such as opening a door, inserting a plug into a socket, or moving furniture across the room.“

She Does Leg Presses

Ora is also seen using the leg press machine in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic says that this exercise is very beneficial. “The leg press is an exercise you can do with a weight machine to work a variety of muscles in the lower body. Specifically, the leg press targets the quadriceps muscles in the front of the thighs, the gluteal muscles in the buttocks, the hamstring muscles in the back of the thighs, and the calves, all in an integrated fashion. Since the leg press works several muscles at once, it's an especially efficient way to strengthen your lower body.”

She Does Pilates

The last workout that Ora is seen doing in her Instagram video is a session on the Pilates reformer. Pilates has a lot of health benefits. The Cleveland Clinic says, “Pilates is a form of strength training, but it doesn’t look like some of the other strength training exercises you might be familiar with. Pilates focuses more on improving muscle tone than building muscles, but the result is similar: greater stability and endurance. Pilates isn’t going to bulk you up — if anything, it’s designed to cultivate a longer, leaner look. Still, it can lay a strong physical foundation for muscle-building activities — and may even reduce your likelihood of injury.”

Rita OraRota Ora/Instagram

As you can see from her Instagram post, Ora likes to do Pilates to stay in shape. This is a great workout to stay in shape. ACE Fitness says, “Pilates — once a niche strength, mobility, and recovery technique for dancers — has gone mainstream. The low-intensity, muscle-strengthening workout can promote flexibility, mobility, and posture. What’s more, it can set your body up to complete other more intense strength-training safely. ‘It helps to work on smaller muscle groups, stabilizing muscle groups, and the core — the muscles in our trunk,’ says Heather Milton, CSCS, a board-certified clinical exercise physiologist with NYU Langone Health in New York City. Building those muscles can help you complete everyday tasks more easily, and lower your risk of injury, she says.”

2. She Circuit Trains

Ora shared some of her fitness secrets in an interview with Shape. She says that circuit training is a staple for her. "I do circuit training. I usually work out for one or two hours, depending on how much time I have. I do three circuits and repeat that three times. I mostly focus on my thighs and my bum, so I do a lot of squats and weight lifting. And I do one circuit of cardio."

Or if I want fries, then I won't have a burger to go with them."

4. She Eats Healthy

Ora makes sure to eat healthy. She shared some of her favorite foods in her Cosmopolitan interview. "I travel a lot so it's hard to have a regime,” Ora said. “I have smoothies in the morning. I also have eggs – I'm a pro at breakfast. For lunch I'll have some salmon and chicken and for dinner I love truffle! I'll have broccoli pasta, truffle pasta or pizza."

5. She Isn’t Concerned With Her Body

Ora isn’t concerned with what her body looks like. “I’m not going to lie and say I was completely happy with my body before,” she said to Shape. “I knew I could change a few things to improve my stamina, especially onstage. 1. She Keeps Her Body Fueled Up

Rita Ora revealed to Shape that she refuses to starve herself. “I used to be like, 'I'm not eating!' Eating isn't the problem, though. It's about what your body needs, and everyone's body is different,” she explained. However, she admits that it’s all about making good choices. "I've been the girl on tour who eats when she can and goes along when the band wants to go out all the time. But you just can't keep that up. With the plan I'm on, you can eat quite a bit as long as you exercise." Her diet includes a lot of protein, veggies and healthy snacks. One thing she doesn't eat? Bread or sugar.

2. She Has a Trick to Eat Well

When Rita indulges, she has a trick she uses to ensure she won’t overeat. "I watch what I eat but I just cut my portions in half. So if I want a burger I'll just cut it in half and eat half of it. That or I'll take the bread off and only eat the burger. Or if I want fries then I won't have a burger to go with them,” she told Cosmopolitan UK.

3. Her Focus Is on Strength, Not Skinny

Rita told Shape that she stays motivated to exercise with the goal of becoming stronger. "I'm not going to lie and say I was completely happy with my body before. I knew I could change a few things to improve my stamina, especially onstage. I didn't start working out to get skinnier—I started working out to feel better. And I think it's important for women to know that. Don't be obsessed with being thin. You just have to be fit, healthy, and strong," she said. "I love my shape because it's curvy. I have thighs. I'm a size 28 in jeans. And that's an average, normal size. I'm proud that I'm normal."

4. She Does Circuit Training

What I've learned is that you can take your time with training. You don't have to beat yourself up as long as you get in the workouts that you need. I used to push myself until I felt sick. But I'm approaching it differently now. I enjoy working out. And I like the aftermath—that feeling of contentment."

5. She Mixes Up Methods

According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.

Last year, Culpo was preparing for her wedding. She told E! Trying to get them in consistently because you only get married once and I want to feel my best. But this past season it was just hard being so far away from my normal routine and where I typically live."

Culpo has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it, even while traveling. “I don't wear any makeup when traveling," she says to Travel + Leisure. "That's one rule because I do feel like you will have a higher chance of breaking out if you are wearing a full face of makeup. A few things I always have with me is some sort of a spray. I love Dr. Barbara Sturm or Caudalie or La Mer. I also absolutely love traveling with a makeup wipe, the Neutrogena wipes are great. Something to just take off the sweat you build up.”

She Keeps Her Skincare Simple

Culpo shared her skincare routines with Byrdie. She says that she keeps her morning and night routine simple. “I am always trying out new products, so what I gravitate toward is often changing. At night, I usually use an oil and a serum. Right now, I love the Clarins Double Serum. In the morning, I use a Vitamin C serum and an SPF, and, typically, I just rinse my skin with warm water instead of using a cleanser. It is something I swear by—it allows for the oils on my skin from sleeping to absorb naturally.”

She Uses Products With Vitamins

Culpo shared some of her favorite skincare products with Byrdie. She says that she uses ones that have vitamins in them. “I have noticed a huge difference in my skin with vitamin C and E. I love the Good Janes H2OMyGod Moisturizer—it's sort of an all-in-one moisturizer that has vitamin C and collagen peptides. As for vitamin E, I actually just purchase the oil from the drugstore. It is super cheap and great to put on any red marks I may get from an occasional breakout. The healing process is so much quicker when I am using Vitamin E oil.”

She Packs Healthy Snacks

Culpo makes sure to eat healthy. She shared some of the snacks she packs with her with Travel + Leisure. "I love the Kind bars. I love any sort of nuts, to be honest with you. “I don’t exercise. If God had wanted me to bend over, he would have put diamonds on the floor,” Megan once joked in an Instagram post. In all seriousness, exercise does play a role. However, she works out a lot less than you would think. "I exercise really hard twice a week. I got my ass kicked this morning before I came here! I do bursts of cardio with really heavy weights. Circuit training," she told E! News.

She Avoids Processed Foods and Carbs

Megan has a few non-negotiables with her diet. "I cut out all bread and those sort of carbohydrates. No crackers, no pretzels, no chips. Nothing unhealthy," she told E! News. According to GLAMOUR, when she does eat bread it will be gluten-free. As for cheat meals? "I don't have any cheat days," she told E! News. "But if I did, it would be pizza or cake."

She Also Avoids Alcohol

Megan is “completely sober,” she told Glamour. “I don't even drink a glass of wine. I don't ever smoke. I don't drink coffee. I'm super strict with my diet and I never deviate," she added. "When I was in Costa Rica, somebody described the purpose of alcohol with plant medicine: you use alcohol to extract the essence of a plant. And I thought, 'That is exactly how alcohol makes me feel. As though it is extracting my essence.' Which is why I have avoided it for so long."

She Meditates

Megan makes time for self-care, which she describes as “enough quiet time to be able to connect to my super consciousness, my higher consciousness, connect to God, connect to spirit,” she explained to Glamour. “And this lifestyle makes it very difficult sometimes. I do feel very lost when I’m not able to do that, so I have to have time to ground myself. And that is being able to do the metaphysical things that I like to do, the spiritual things that I like to do and having silence. I avoid my phone as much as I possibly can all the time, but there are times where I avoid it completely. The same thing with anything that has an LED light in it. And I just go back to what our bodies were made for, which is to be in nature and to be silent within ourselves.”

Exercising While Pregnant

Fox is likely exercising during her fourth pregnancy. She trained with Pasternak during her others. "We worked out throughout her entire pregnancy. She was a model of health through the whole process. She really educated herself big time and had a great relationship with her physician so she really understood the safe boundaries of how to exercise and eat well during pregnancy," he told People in 2012. "As a result, she knew how active she could be and she was very consistent and didn’t overdo it."
