Riverdale’s Madelaine Petsch in Black Bikini Is “Reminiscing”

Madelaine Petsch is ready for summer – in her swimsuit. The Riverdale star, whose follow-up to the hit film The Strangers will be hitting theaters this fall, shared a bikini flashback photo on social media this week. “Reminiscing about lathering spf 50 on in the sun,” she captioned the series of snaps. “Pretty girl,” commented Hannah Stocking. “You look absolutely stunning,” commented another follower. How does she keep herself in such fantastic shape? Here are some of her best diet and fitness hacks.
She Works Out, But Not Every Day
The actress is devoted to fitness, but not every day. “I used to feel like I ‘had’ to work out everyday, I’m not sure why. But lately I’ve been going to the gym when it sounds fun to me and more for my mental health. I’ve honestly never felt better or seen better results in my strength. Listen to your body,” Petsch said “The thing I love most about my body is how perplexed I am about all the things it can do. The more I learn about my body the more fascinated I am by it,” she added in a Body Scan video for Women’s Health. “The more I move the happier I’ll be. I link my mental health to working out.”
She Prioritizes Protein
Madelaine, a long time vegan, makes sure to prioritize protein “Protein is something I really have to be aware of in every meal or else my energy levels just go completely downhill,” she dished to Women’s Health. She added that she’s “such a carb fan” but instead of eating white pasta she eats a lot of protein pasta, like red lentil pasta. “I need to hit my salivary glands and I also need to hit my protein.”
She Rides Horses
Madelaine is an avid equestrian. “Wholesome,” she captioned a snap of herself riding. According to the American Heart Association, riding horses is great for your health. Not only does it boost cardiovascular health, but builds core strength, burns calories, and lowers blood pressure. It is also great for your mental health as it helps relax you.
She Does Ab Work
The star does a lot of ab work. “The body part I love exercising the most is my abs. I think that my abs feel the most pain and I love the feeling of being sore,” she told Women’s Health. “My trainer does this thing called six-minute abs, which is honestly deathly. They are the hardest thing ever.” He doesn’t tell me what it is, every minute or 30 seconds he’ll switch to a new thing but he’ll never tell me because then my brain can’t anticipate it.”
Here Is What She Eats in a Day
The star detailed her diet to Women’s Health. “I always eat breakfast,” she said. She might not have her next meal for many hours. “It’ll be 5 p.m. and I haven’t had lunch. My energy levels will completely drop. That’s where I struggle, making time to eat because I’ll forget.” She also outlined her diet to People, which amounts to 1,700 calories per day.
