Roselyn Sanchez’ career has taken off in the recent years. She’s appeared on shows like Devious Maids, Grand Hotel, and most recently, Fantasy Island. She and her husband also host the He Said, Ella Dijo podcast together. Sanchez recently enjoyed a pool day, and posted highlights on Instagram. In them, she wore a fuschia swimsuit, looking stunning. Sanchez captioned the post, “Adios. Until November.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Roselyn Sanchez stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Works Hard

Snachez talked about dealing with stereotypes and wanting to be an example for the Latin community in an interview with The AV Club. She says that she always makes sure to work hard. “It’s the story of my life, and I just have to not get discouraged and count my blessings, to be honest with you. I’ve worked consistently; I’ve always played amazing Latino characters. Some of them will be viewed as stereotypical. Devious Maids got a lot of backlash and a lot of heat because everybody was like, “Why are these five actresses who are so accomplished playing maids?” [But] I’m not seeing it as a maid—I’m seeing it as a character, as a person. There’s nothing demeaning about a maid. And if it’s a role that has some meat, [where] I can do something special with it, I’m all about it. But I’ve been fighting that fight my whole life, because of the way I look, the way I speak, the way I carry myself. People have this perception, and they put you inside this box and they don’t see past that, so I have to fight.”

2. She’s Motivated

Los,Angeles,,Ca.,November,20,,2022:,Roselyn,Sanchez,At,TheShutterstock

Sanchez talked about her health in an interview with HOLA! She says that she makes sure to stay motivated. “I stay fit with exercise and take care of my health. This has always come naturally to me and it’s been part of my life without even thinking about it, but now I feel that it’s become a duty. Now it’s not about exercising because I like it, I tell myself, ‘Roselyn, you do this because when your boy turns 30 and gets married, you have to be there.’”

3. She Has Healthy Habits

Sanchez tells HOLA that she has a lot of healthy habits, which lead to good skin. “I’ve never been a drinker or a smoker. I don’t know for sure if this is the reason why I look younger. Doctors claim that leading a healthy life consisting of good habits like eating healthy and getting enough rest is fundamental to good health. I’ve never gone to bed with my makeup on, but I’m not a big fan of beauty products and I’ve never had plastic surgery. I practice a bit of discipline and I’m good to myself.”

4. She Works Out Regularly

Los,Angeles,,Ca.,June,09,,2023:,Roselyn,Sanchez,At,TheShutterstock

No matter how busy she gets, Sanchez makes sure to exercise regularly. She tells HOLA, “I exercise a lot. I’ve been dancing ballet since I was four, and have been practicing it constantly throughout the years. It’s very important for me to keep moving and stay active.”

5. She Limits Sodium

One of Sanchez’s beauty secrets? A diet with not a lot of salt. She tells HOLA, “If you want your face to look chiseled, no sodium two days before. I learned that from our friend JLo. She said, ‘I approach everything like a sport, so when I have a concert, I train for that – and then I can do whatever I want until my next one.'"

1. She Consciously Stays Fit

"I think [staying fit] is a conscious decision. Once you have kids, the body changes," she told her friend Eva Longoria in Hola. "I'm 46 years old; I'm still in this business. People have a perception of you, of how you need to look, and it's a lot of pressure. I’d rather be home and do nothing, but I can't." She added: "And now it's not even about the physique. I became a mother late in life -- I had Sebella at 38 and Dylan at 44 -- and I want to be as healthy as possible for as long as possible. I owe it to my kids to stay young and vibrant."

2. She Lives Her Life Respectfully

How does Sánchez stand tall? “I do it by living my life in a very respectful way,” she has said, “to serve as an inspiration to all those young Latinas and Puerto Rican girls that see me as a testament that you can do it. You can leave the country and succeed and work hard and have a clear goal as a Hispanic. I’m making it happen.”

3. She Stretches

Sánchez is a former dancer and knows the value of a good stretch. Try also ending each workout with a foam roller. “Foam rolling is one of the best ways to keep your muscles loose and your body mobile. It stretches areas that are hard to hit otherwise (like long tendons) and releases muscle tension throughout the body, helping you recover for your next workout,” says personal trainer Mark Langowski.

4. Pets are Good For Your Mental Health

2018 Latin American Music Awards - Arrivals attends the 2018 Latin American Music Awards - Arrivals at Dolby Theatre on October 25, 2018 in Hollywood, California.

"Pets continue to be an optional part of our modern lives. Research shows that our desire to connect with our pets can be a valuable asset for those struggling with physical and emotional pain; mental illnesses, such as depression and anxiety; and environmental factors, such as loneliness," says Jennifer Wickham, licensed professional counselor at Mayo Clinic Health System. "Though not a replacement for social interaction with people, pets do provide social support and stress reduction," adds Wickham in the Mayo Clinic. "We know, through medical research, that increased levels of the stress hormone cortisol slows immune response to injury sites. When this occurs, the healing process can be delayed causing increased recovery times. Developing strategies for reducing stress in everyday life and in health crisis situations has been a recent focus for all."

5. She’s Never Had a Nip or Tuck

Sánchez says she’s never had plastic surgery. What to expect if you’re considering it? “Anticipate improvement, not perfection. If you expect cosmetic surgery to turn you into a movie star, you're bound to be disappointed. Don't count on surgery to save a rocky relationship, gain a promotion or improve your social life,’ says the Mayo Clinic. Also: “Cosmetic surgery isn't covered by most health insurance plans. The cost varies depending on the procedure, ranging from hundreds to thousands of dollars. Also, consider the cost of any follow-up care or additional corrective procedures.”

1. She Has Healthy Habits

Sánchez opened up about her healthy habits in an interview with HOLA! Magazine.

2. She Wants To Share Her Culture’s Stories

Sánchez tells The A.V. Club that she wants to give opportunities to other Hispanic and Latino actors and workers in the film and TV industry. “I have an immense passion to produce and to direct, especially Latino content. I take it as a responsibility. I’ve been so lucky that it’s time to pay it forward, [especially] if I can do it in Puerto Rico and employ Puerto Ricans. This country is so unique in terms of our history. It’s a Commonwealth with an ever-evolving relationship with the States. Puerto Ricans are very divided when it comes to our political status. And as a place to shoot, it’s paradise. We have a little bit of everything. We have rainforests! So in terms of production value and history, we have so much to offer. So with HSI: Puerto Rico, there’s so many cop procedural franchises that do so well, [so] how is it possible that there’s not one here? That was the whole idea behind it.”

3. She Stays True To Herself

Sánchez opened up to HOLA! Magazine about how she approaches her career. She says that she wants to be honest and true to herself. “I’ve never had terrible problems on a personal or professional level, and I’ve always made an effort to keep my career intact,” Sánchez explained. “I had a very normal upbringing, from good and humble people in Puerto Rico. My mother taught me to be of strong character, but never mischievous. I’ve always had a good head on my shoulders and made sure my career was nice and clean so it can serve as an inspiration to others. I dislike people who have successful careers based on gossip and scandals.”

4. She’s Grateful

Sánchez tells HOLA! Magazine that she’s extremely grateful for her career. “I can’t complain. That would be ungrateful of me. I thought that it would be easier than it actually was. I’ve lived through so much happiness but also lots of tears. But it’s like anything in life, if I were to retire tomorrow and write a book about my life, it would be 90% gratitude. Gratitude towards God, life, my angels…Because I’ve worked consistently for 25 years.”

5. She Dances

Sánchez shared some of her favorite exercises to HOLA! Magazine. She says that she likes to practice ballet to keep herself in shape. “I exercise a lot. Leonie Hanne is living her best life in Thailand – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the German model flaunts her fantastic figure in a $750 Missoni bathing suit while enjoying a boating day in the tropics. “She dreamed of a tropical adventure 🦋,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. “Stunning,” commented one of her followers. ”So beautiful,” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Coffee

Leonie enjoys the perks of caffeine. In one of her posts from Thailand, she drinks a cup of coffee at the poolside. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Pilates

Leonie does Pilates at the super exclusive London studio Pilates in the Clouds. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress, and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

At-Home Workouts

Leonie tries to get a workout in daily, preferably in the morning. I still try to get up early to maintain a sense of routine. I start every day with a quick at-home workout and a homemade acai bowl, before starting work on emails and content creation. I’ve been getting really into TikTok lately, it’s funny and keeps me feeling energised!” she told Arcadia.

Community

It takes a village, according to Leonie. “Community is key! The people you surround yourself with are more important than ever, as we are all trying to find ways to stay connected without being physically present. Speaking to people either on the phone or through social media can shift your mindset and motivation more than ever before,” she says.

Small, Healthy Habits

Leonie focuses on maintaining small, healthy habits. “Do something every day that brings you joy. Even if that means having something small to look forward to, like having your favourite snacks around the house or changing into an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself,” she says.

Sophie Piper is embracing island life – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the Love Island beauty shows off her fantastic figure in a swimsuit during a tropical vacation at Kandima Maldives with Josh Ritchie. “Island life,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at the picturesque resort. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

Fitness,,Sport,,Training,,Gym,And,Lifestyle,Concept,-,Group,OfShutterstock

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”
