Sara Ali Khan is enjoying a trip to the mountains with friends and loved ones. Khan, 28, shared highlights of the trip, including pictures of herself wearing joggers and a crop top, posing next to crystal clear waters and towering pines. Another snap shows her dipping her feet into a river, and posing next to a beautiful lake. “A piece of peace,” she captioned the post. Khan is known for her dedication to fitness and enviably toned physique—here’s what Khan’s health and wellness regimen looks like.
1. NYC-Inspired Fitness
Khan overhauled her fitness routine when she was in New York City. “There were so many different types of classes in that city, from functional training to boxing to cycling,” she told Vogue India. “But because I was so overweight at the start, my routine was more about cardio-heavy workouts like walking, cycling and hitting the treadmill—so that I could lose the weight before entering the intermediate forms of exercise.”
2. Pilates Queen
Khan swears by Pilates workouts for her enviable abs. “Pilates is definitely the backbone of my fitness,” she told Vogue India. “It strengthens body balance and works on your core, which is the powerhouse of your entire body. Doing Pilates has enabled me to gain strength that's not only helpful in looking good but also in boosting physical stamina.”
3. Healthy Diet
Khan focuses on healthy foods that make her feel good. "I honestly think that my relationship with food has evolved," she told Times of India. "It used to be unhealthy, but I’ve learned and realized that food is important for its nutrition, energy, and how it makes you feel. So, I think that with the right balance and in moderation, one can have a healthy and accepting relationship with food."
4. Protein and Vegetables

Khan’s diet switches up depending on her work schedule. “If I’m shooting, then it's boiled eggs, boiled veggies, grilled chicken, grilled fish, bhindi, etc,” she told Times of India. “If not, then breakfast is everything on the buffet. Lunch is Sarso ka Saag, Maaki ki roti, Butter Chicken, Dakshinayan’s Uthappams, or even Farmer Café in Mumbai. For dinner, maybe Bastian, but it all depends on my schedule.”
5. Favorite Foods
Khan loves dark chocolate for a healthy yet decadent treat. “I like food markets a lot,” she told Times of India. “Whether it’s in Delhi or it’s in New York, I enjoy street food markets and have had the best experiences with them. I don’t think it’s really a secret, but my favorite indulgence is dark chocolate. A close second is Farmer Café’s desserts!”
