Scandal’s Kerry Washington In Two-Piece Workout Gear Does Pilates

Kerry Washington is one of the most accomplished actresses out there. She’s best known for her role as Olivia Pope on Scandal. Kerry has also appeared in the miniseries, Little Fires Everywhere, and the movie, The Prom. She recently shared a video on Instagram of herself doing a Pilates session with a trainer. In it, she wore a gorgeous bright blue set of workout clothes. Kerry captioned the post, “Back to Pilates now.” Here are 5 of Kerry Washington’s wellness secrets.
She Does Pilates
As you can see from her Instagram video, Kerry loves doing Pilates. She Takes Care Of Her Skin
Kerry has amazing skin, and naturally, she makes sure to take care of it. She shared her routine in an interview with The Cut. “Taking care of my skin before bed helps me to wind down from the day. I like to double cleanse by removing my makeup with makeup-remover wipes, followed by washing my face and then applying retinol serum.”
She Loves Yoga
Kerry loves practicing yoga. She talked about this in an interview with Jay Shetty. “One of the first tools that helped to bring me back to myself was yoga. It was one of the first times that I remember being still in my body in Savasana at the end of that first yoga class I took in high school and weeping because I felt really present in my body.”
She Learned To Love Herself
Kerry opened up about her recovery from an unhealthy relationship with exercise and food to Essence. “Learning how to love myself and my body is a lifelong process,” she says. “But I definitely don’t struggle the way I used to. Therapy helped me realize that maybe it’s okay for me to communicate my feelings. Instead of literally stuffing them down with food, maybe it’s okay for me to express myself.”
