Katy Perry is teasing the release of her upcoming single, Woman's World – in her swimsuit. In a new social media post the singer announced that her new song will drop July 11, giving her fans a sneak peek of the accompanying video, in which she shows off her stunning beach body. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are 5 of her lifestyle secrets.
1. 3 to 5 Small Meals a Day
Perry recently told Women’s Health that when she is training for something she’ll eat three to five small meals a day. Breakfast might be a banana or hard boiled egg, "something that is light, but got some kick to start my day,” she says. Lunch will be a protein plus a salad or soup. Dinner might be a protein paired with greens and soup, or pasta once or twice a week, between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. “I've started eating earlier, which everybody swears by, but that's only because my daughter eats earlier, which is great,” she says. “I used to go to dinner at eight o'clock and anyone that tries to make [a] reservation at eight o'clock, I'm like, ‘I'm out,’ it's too much.”
2. Hydration

Katy makes sure to hydrate, sometimes adding LMNT hydration salts to it. “That is the best way to start, is just to drink water,” she says. “I know it's such a cliché, but I think a lot of us go straight to the coffee without just drinking a glass of water.” She also drinks apple cider vinegar in water. “I've grown up with it actually,” she says. Sometimes she follows it up with celery juice. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.
3. Gratitude
Mantras are also part of her routine. “I always start my morning out with a mantra of gratitude, even if I'm in a cranky mood because I didn't get enough sleep,” she told Women’s Health.
4. Exercise
Katy has a love-hate relationship with exercise.“It's not my favorite thing to do with the world—unless I'm dancing or I'm snowboarding or I'm doing something that's kind of masked,” she told Women’s Health, revealing that she works out three or four times a week. She does weight training and candlelight high power fusion CorePower Yoga class. “I sweated the most I've ever sweat,” she said about the latter, revealing that she had done it the night before with her girlfriends “We were all texting afterwards and I was like, ‘My mood is unusually happy right now.’”
5. Social Workouts
Katie also loves getting outside and making exercise social. She told Women’s Health that she enjoys hiking and playing pickleball with friends. According to the Cleveland Clinic, the racquet sport helps improve heart health, enhances muscle and bone strength, increases balance and coordination, boosts brain health, and lengthens lifespan.
