Shama Sikander in Bikini Needed “Vit D” and “TLC”

Shama Sikander is getting some sun and rest in her bikini. In a new social media post, the Indian actress shows off her famous figure in a tiny white swimsuit as she basks in the sun. “We all needed some Vit D” and “TLC. ♥️🧿🫶🏻😇,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does the star approach health and wellness? Here are her top diet and fitness habits.
Healthy Diet
Shama eats healthy. “I prefer eating healthy food and avoid oily stuff and rice. Instead of regular rotis, I have multi-grained rotis. My diet comprises a lot of proteins and less carbohydrates. Food with more fiber, such as egg whites, chicken, and fish form a big part of my diet,” she told Celeb Fitness. “Right now I’m focusing on good health, because I had some health issues in the last year,” she added in a video about her diet.
Intermittent Fasting
Shama promotes intermittent fasting. “Giving gap is very very important,” she explained. The Mayo Clinic explains that there are many methods of time-restricted eating.
- Alternate-day fasting. Eat a normal diet one day and either completely fast or have one small meal (less than 500 calories) the next day.
- 5:2 fasting. Eat a normal diet five days a week and fast two days a week.
- Daily time-restricted fasting. Eat normally but only within an eight-hour window each day. For example, skip breakfast but eat lunch around noon and dinner by 8 p.m.,” they explain.
Yoga
Shama is a yogi. “This one was tough but so liberating, powerful strengthening and all glute/back muscle opening,” she captioned this Instagram photo. According to the American Osteopathic Association, more than 100 different types, or schools, of yoga exist. Physical benefits of yoga include:
- increased flexibility
- increased muscle strength and tone
- improved respiration, energy and vitality
- maintaining a balanced metabolism
- weight reduction
- cardio and circulatory health
- improved athletic performance
- protection from injury
Meditation
Sikander is all about meditation. “Trolls rarely affect me now, all thanks to the meditation that I practice on a regular basis. That helps me keep calm,” she told Indian Express.
Self-Care
Sikander prioritizes self-care. “I just love going to spas and indulging myself in massages at least once a week. Sleeping is another great way to relax. Listening to soft music helps me unwind after a hard day’s work. Traveling is another passion that always rejuvenates me,” she told Celeb Fitness.
