Shamita Shetty is celebrating her return to the gym after endometriosis surgery. Shetty, 45, shared a reel of herself wearing blue leggings and a white tank top, doing gentle body resistance training exercises. “Took me a while to get back into the gym post surgery cause honestly was not allowed too but boy am I glad I’m finally training again! For me weight training has never been a chore… it’s a passion in the gym. My happy place ❤️ Fighting the laziness everyday now cause the body just got used to less strenuous physical activity but I’m sure muscle memory will make me feel like myself again ❤️ Gratitude always ❤️,” she captioned the post. Here’s what Shetty’s diet, fitness, and wellness routine looks like.

1. Fitness Fanatic

Fitness is an important part of Shetty’s life. “I feel better mentally, physically, and emotionally and this balance makes it important,” she told Women Fitness. “I know how I feel when I don’t work out for a few days, physically, it’s not a great feeling. I feel lethargic, my energy levels are low, and emotionally I don’t feel great either. Endorphins and serotonin are important for the system. There are lots of dos and don’ts. Over the years I’ve learned what works for me. It won’t necessarily work for another person because we’re all made differently physically as well as mentally.”

2. Fitness Advice

Shetty has good advice for anyone starting on their fitness journey. “Initially, when you are just about getting into the routine and when you're new to working out, it is a little difficult in the beginning to continue with that routine,” she told ABPLive. “But, you have to kind of stick to it at least for two weeks, however difficult it is. Because once that routine sets in, trust me, you're gonna miss your workout when you don't go to the gym. You just have to be patient with it. Results don't come quickly, it takes time.”

3. Weighing Her Food

Shetty is weighing her food for the first time to get to grips with portion control. “I have new trainers on board and they are keeping a closer watch on my daily calorie intake and how much protein, carbs, and fats I’m putting into my body,” she told Women Fitness. “I have always followed a gluten and dairy-free diet. Having said that, I know a lot of people do not. I’ve kind of said this so many times that although I follow a gluten and lactose-free diet, I do introduce them into my system at least once a week or once in ten days. This makes my body not completely intolerant to these two things.”

4. Hair Experiments

Shetty likes to have fun with her beauty routine. “I'm somebody who really likes to experiment with colors in my hair. Currently, I am going all red and pink in my hair,” she told ABPLive. “When I have that little time and when I'm not shooting or working on a project, then I like to experiment with color in my hair.”

5. Pizza Cheat Meal

Shetty’s all-time favorite cheat meal is thin crust pizza. “If it’s gluten-free then great otherwise, it’s the pizza. Once a week I cheat on my meals and I do it with whole wheat,” she told Women Fitness. “I like my pizza to have a thin crust. I don’t like the thick-crust ones. Another cheat meal I can think of is something in dark chocolate, like a dark chocolate pastry. The pastry, however, I keep gluten-free. These are my favorite cheat meals and I am allowed to cheat once a week.”

Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty is starting the new year with yoga and positivity. Shetty, 48, shared a video of herself wearing a pink and purple yoga outfit, posing on a teal blue mat. “I’m starting 2024 on a ‘balanced’ note with the Ashwa Sanchalana Salamba Utthita Eka Padasana, which is a great balancing asana🧘🏻‍♀️ It helps improve focus & concentration, and also enhances the coordination between mind & body. It also improves the back’s and the hamstring’s flexibility. Please note: People suffering from back pain or slip-disc and pregnant women must avoid this asana. Wishing you all a Happy, Prosperous, and Healthy New Year... My resolution for 2024 is to LIVE IN THE ‘NOW’ with awareness, balance, and gratitude,” she captioned the post. Here’s how Shetty takes care of herself, inside and out.

1. Sharing Her Ab Workouts

Shetty frequently shares her workouts on social media, including her intense ab exercise routine. “Recipe for washboard ABS: Planks, Planks, & More Planks💪,” she captioned an Instagram video. “This workout trains the entire body, primarily driven by the core muscles. Stimulate all your muscles by performing these 3 exercises for 3 sets and 15-20 reps.

1) Extended Arm Plank: Hip Extensions

2) Side Elbow Plank: Hip Dips

3) Elbow Plank: Hip Abduction and Adduction

It strengthens the core, arms, legs, shoulders, & back muscles; and builds muscular endurance.

Can be done at home with just a mat on days you are running short of time, but want to move that body as it takes only 20 mins. Caution: Do not try this if you are a beginner.”

2. Yoga and Meditation

Shetty is a long time devotee of yoga and meditation. “Asanas like Setu Bandhasana strengthen the Vishuddhi chakra (Throat chakra) that helps one voice their opinions & thoughts, and gives clarity of communication,” she captioned an Instagram video of herself doing yoga poses on a mat. “The Ardha Halasana and Navasana help strengthen the Manipuraka chakra (or Solar Plexus chakra), which determines one’s self-confidence and the ability to take action. Eat clean, lead a healthy lifestyle, and make yoga-meditation an integral part of your daily routine. Your mind and body will thank you ♥️🙏.”

3. Fitness Is Her Target

Shetty says her entire workout regimen is about health, not the “perfect” body. “I’ve never given a good figure too much importance,” she tells Complete Wellbeing. “Fitness was more my target. I went to the gym not to look good but to feel good and be fit. I worked out and I wanted to maintain a healthy body. Like Bhagavan says, [Bhagavan is the founder of the Oneness University] if you want to be successful, if you want to achieve something in life, you need to be fit. If your immunity is low, it’s not going to allow you to work as hard as you would otherwise have. It stems from this understanding.”

4. Healthy Diet With a Cheat Day

Aloe,Vera,On,Wooden,TableShutterstock

Shetty enjoys a healthy diet with one day a week for any indulgences. “I am a foodie. I love food, but I eat the right food,” she tells Complete Wellbeing. “I have a healthy diet. I keep one day in the week when I eat anything like cakes, kulfi, and gulab jamuns. My day starts with aloe vera juice. It is great for your immune system; it’s great for your skin. Then I have porridge and tea. I avoid white sugar as far as I can and have only brown sugar. My theory is to replace everything white with brown — be it brown bread, brown rice, or brown sugar. I don’t eat steamed or boiled food. I eat normal food but cooked in a healthy vegetable oil or olive oil. For lunch, I have dal rice [brown] or chapati and chicken curry and one vegetable. If I am hungry in the evening, I’ll have one brown toast with two eggs and tea and, at night, I try and eat early. I eat a salad, soup and one chicken dish. My diet is very simple. It’s easy to follow.”

5. Fitness Challenge

Shetty loves challenging herself and posting the results online. “Failure is a stepping stone to success. Keep trying, push yourself, but never give up,” she captioned a humorous Instagram video. “Today, I took up the #StandUpChallenge! It tests one’s mobility, which is the ability to move your entire body freely and normally. It encompasses muscle strength, range of motion, and endurance capacity helping you with great mobility. It took me a couple of tries (as you can see😋) but, I believe failure is funnier than success.”

The Mayo Clinic says that strength training has a lot of benefits. “Strength training can help you manage or lose weight, and it can increase your metabolism to help you burn more calories. Strength training may enhance your quality of life and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Strength training can also protect your joints from injury. Building muscle also can contribute to better balance and may reduce your risk of falls. This can help you maintain independence as you age.”

She Does Yoga

Sharvari shares a lot of her favorite workouts on Instagram. One thing she likes to do is yoga. Sharvari posted this video of herself doing poses on her page. John Hopkins Medicine states that yoga is very beneficial. “Regular yoga practice may reduce levels of stress and body-wide inflammation, contributing to healthier hearts. Several of the factors contributing to heart disease, including high blood pressure and excess weight, can also be addressed through yoga.”

She Plays Padel

Sharvari likes to play padel to keep herself in shape. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself on the court. Playing padel has a lot of health benefits. Everybody Health & Leisure says, “It improves cardiovascular fitness, helps to build strength and endurance, enhances coordination and promotes overall physical and mental well-being. Natasa Stankovic in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Wednesday Challenge"

Stankovic shares her go-to workout moves, from squats to lunges, cardio, Pilates, and strength training.

Entertainment India - March 2023
Prodip Guha/Getty Images

Natasa Stankovic isn’t just a content creator—she’s a fitness inspiration. Known for sharing intense workout sessions on Instagram, she keeps her followers motivated with creative exercise challenges and dynamic routines.

In her latest post, Stankovic teamed up with Aleksandar Illic for a lower body blast, pushing through variations of squats and lunges. Dressed in a sleek two-piece workout set, she captioned the session, “Wednesday challenge,” proving that fitness is all about consistency and fun.

So, how does she maintain her lean, strong physique? From strength training to Pilates, here’s a look at Stankovic’s go-to workout moves.

She Does Squats

Stankovic does squats to keep herself in shape, as you can see in her Instagram video. Piedmont says that this exercise has a lot of health benefits. “Whether you’re hoping to tone your muscles, strengthen your core or just improve overall health, squats are one of the best exercises you can do. Although the movements appear relatively simple, squats can take time to master. Joel Hardwick, ACSM EP-C, EIM2, an exercise physiologist at Piedmont Atlanta Fitness Center, says practice will pay off…Hardwick explains that squats are a compound, multi-joint movement, which means they exercise several muscle groups. When you perform a squat, you work your calves, quads, hamstrings, glutes, core and part of your back.”

She Does Lunges

Stankovic is also seen doing lunges in her Instagram video. The Mayo Clinic reports that lunges are very beneficial to do. “The lunge is a body resistance exercise that works the leg muscles. Specifically, the lunge targets the quadriceps and the hamstring muscles in the thigh, the gluteal muscles in the buttock, and to a lesser extent, the lower leg muscles. The lunge is a great conditioning exercise for many sports, especially those that involve lunging movements, such as tennis, basketball or soccer.”

She Does Cardio

Stankovic likes to do cardio workouts to keep herself in shape. She shared this video of herself doing fast box jumps in different directions on Instagram. Stankovic captioned it, “Morning cardio challenge.” Cardio exercises have a lot of benefits. The Cleveland Clinic says, “When you work your heart and other muscles of your body during cardio exercise, this increases oxygen supply to your whole body, allowing all muscles to work harder and more efficiently. Over time, regular cardio exercise allows your muscles to adapt to an increased workload, making regular activities seem easier.”

She Does Pilates

Stankovic shares a lot of her favorite workouts in an Instagram story highlight. In some of the stories, she is seen doing Pilates exercises on a reformer. Pilates is very beneficial. The Cleveland Clinic says, “One of the reasons Pilates is such a good workout is that it specifically focuses on building core strength.”

She Strength Trains

Stankovic likes to strength train to keep herself in shape. She shared this Instagram story of herself using dumbbells. ACE Fitness says that strength training and using weights has a lot of health benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

Kim French in Two-Piece Workout Gear Shares "Real Results" Workout

Learn how she sculpts her powerhouse physique with deadlifts, lunges, squats, and more.

Kim French is more than just a personal trainer—she’s a fitness coach who empowers thousands through her Believe App and Instagram workouts. Known for her structured, effective home training plans, she proves that you don’t need a gym full of heavy weights to build serious strength.

In a recent Instagram post, French shared a glimpse of her at-home training, reminding followers that smart training delivers "REAL results." Rocking a sleek two-piece workout set, she showcased some of her go-to exercises, emphasizing that with the right strategy, anyone can see progress.

So what’s in her routine? From deadlifts to hip thrusts, here’s how French sculpts her powerhouse physique.

She Does Deadlifts

French is seen doing deadlifts in her Instagram post. This exercise has a lot of benefits. NASM says, “A Romanian deadlift is a hip-hinge pattern that works the hamstrings and glutes. It is a form of deadlift with noticeably less bend in the knee, leading to greater hamstring engagement than traditional deadlifts. The move was introduced to the masses in the 90s by Romanian weightlifter Nicu Vlad (an Olympic and World Weightlifting champion) and his coach Dragomir Cioroslan. The two invented the move to help Nicu strengthen his back for the clean and jerk. Today, RDLs are commonly used to strengthen the posterior chain, using the core muscles to stabilize and the hamstrings and glutes to drive the movement.”

She Does Lunges

Another exercise that French is seen doing in her Instagram post is lunges. NASM says that they are very beneficial. “The lunge is a versatile, simple and effective movement for lower body training. Various positions, planes of motion and speeds can all yield different training adaptations for the exerciser. Lunges are the gift that keeps on giving!”

She Does Squats

French is seen doing squats in her Instagram video. According to The Cleveland Clinic, squats are very beneficial. “Here’s a quick look at the many benefits of squats, also known as bodyweight squats or air squats: Works major muscle groups. Burns calories. Strengthens your core. Improves lower body strength. Enhances stability and balance. Betters your posture.”

She Does Hamstring Curls

French is seen doing hamstring curls in her Instagram post. According to The Mayo Clinic, hamstring curls are very beneficial. “The seated hamstring curl is an exercise you can do with a weight machine to work the muscles in the back of the thigh. As the name implies, the seated hamstring curl targets the hamstring muscles here in the back of the thigh. Strong hamstring muscles help to protect your ligaments in the knee.”

She Does Hip Thrusts

French shared this video on Instagram of herself doing hip thrusts. She captioned it, “Hip Thrusts are no doubt one of the best exercises for building your Glutes but of course with any exercise, the form has to be correct for you to see the maximum benefits…✖️ Feet too far forwards will engage your hamstrings more ✖️ Feet too close to you will engage your quads more ✔️ Feet placed so your calves are vertical will engage your glutes more.”
