1. She Works Out Regularly

Working out is a big part of Grimes’ life. After having her second child, she made sure to exercise on a regular basis. Grimes talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. "Been back on my workout game for one year since having my second baby. This is a practice I knew I had to kickstart as soon as I could because of the wonders it did for my mental health during my first postpartum season."

2. She Takes Care Of Her Mental Health

Grimes revealed in her Instagram post that she makes sure to take care of her mental health. For Grimes, that means working out. “I struggled with PPA with my firstborn and pushing myself to sweat it out was a reminder that I could do hard things and got me through a lot of the more challenging moments mentally as a first-time mom. This workout routine is so much more than that to me. It’s a guiding light that has the power to shift the trajectory of my entire day and time I truly look forward to as a reprieve from the daily chaos because it requires me to put 100% of my focus on me for a change.”

3. She’s Comfortable With Her Body

Grimes also talked about finding confidence in her body in the previous Instagram post’s caption. “While my body will forever ‘jiggle jiggle and fold’ after 2 c-sections and a cumulative 18 months of breastfeeding, I am so proud of the journey me and this body of mine have been on over the past 5 years. I’m the strongest I’ve ever been in my life and the mental relief I get from this 30 minute commitment to putting myself first for a moment has been life changing.”

4. She Works Out At Home

Grimes likes to do at-home workouts. She shared this video on her YouTube channel of herself doing some of her favorite workouts. Grimes wrote in the video’s caption, “I've gotten into the best shape of my life since I started my home workout routine after having a baby! Isn't that crazy?! The craziest part, is that I only work out for half an hour at a time. Work out with me for a whole week and see how easy it is to do when your child is napping, before they wake up or even with them! Watch your body change and have the strength and energy to keep up with a little one is the best motivation to #sweatyourassofwithme!”

5. She Does Squats

Grimes is seen doing in & out squats in her YouTube video. Allina Health states that any type of squat exercise is very beneficial. “The squat is one of the all-around best exercises to do for your lower body. It strengthens and tones muscles in your thighs, butt and calves and improves posture, balance, flexibility and inner core strength. Squatting also improves bone mineral density to keep your bones strong.”

6. She Cooks

Grimes is a very good cook. She shares a lot of cooking videos on her YouTube channel. Harvard Health states that cooking can help you eat better. “Research is turning to studying the value of nutrition programs that include cooking instruction. These programs have been shown to help people adhere to a healthier diet, eat smaller portions, and lose weight — improvements that lasted as long as a year after the study ended. These programs can even help patients with type 2 diabetes to eat healthier, lower blood pressures and blood sugars, and lose weight. Hard to believe it, but time in the kitchen can be as valuable as medication for some people with diabetes.”

7. She’s Vegetarian

Grimes likes to follow a vegetarian diet. In this YouTube video, she is seen making vegetarian meals. Harvard Health states that being a vegetarian has a lot of benefits. “Vegetarians tend to consume less saturated fat and cholesterol and more vitamins C and E, dietary fiber, folic acid, potassium, magnesium, and phytochemicals (plant chemicals), such as carotenoids and flavonoids. As a result, they're likely to have lower total and LDL (bad) cholesterol, lower blood pressure, and lower body mass index (BMI), all of which are associated with longevity and a reduced risk for many chronic diseases.”
