Sosie Bacon is devouring a mango in her swimsuit. In one of her latest social media posts, the Smile star shows off her amazing body in a bathing suit, while publicly joking with her father, actor Kevin Bacon. “I know you love the criss cross cube method but have you ever tried “cutting” a mango like THIS?!?” she captioned the Instagram post. “Show off!” her father responded. How does the actress approach physical and mental health? Celebwell rounded up some of her top healthy living methods.

1. She Reads

Sosie is an avid reader. “I am really terrible at reading scripts. I really like reading books, because they explain everything, and in scripts, I have a hard time visualizing what's going on,” she told Harper’s Bazaar.

2. She Doesn’t Deny Her Pain

Sosie has a “zen opinion,” when it comes to pain. “The only reason why people are saying that is because it's hard for them to watch pain in somebody else. I'm not blaming anybody, but it can make you feel like you are going crazy. If somebody continues to deny your pain, then you start to question your own pain. At a certain point, you're not allowed to have it. This is true for women and all marginalized groups. Because it's our instinct to go, ‘Well, it's not that bad for them.’ And we can't really judge how bad it is for anybody,” she told Harper’s Bazaar.

3. She Trusts Her Own Instincts

Inspirational,Quote,In,Groovy,Style,-,Trust,Your,Instincts.,MotivationalSutterstock

Sosie has learned how to “trust” her “own instincts,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “I think that we are the only people that know what we should do. That's been from probably, namely, my mom. That's the best advice that you can get—check in, talk, listen, take your own kind of advice,” she said.

4. She Rides Horses

Sosie is an avid equestrian. “The professional preparation routine of an experienced award winning equestrian,” she captioned a post. According to the American Heart Association, riding horses is great for your health. Not only does it boost cardiovascular health, but builds core strength, burns calories, and lowers blood pressure. It is also great for your mental health as it helps relax you.

5. She Hikes

Sosie hikes often. Here she is trekking. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • "Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems"

The Boys star Kristin Booth is showing off her gorgeous new LONDRE swimsuit while soaking up some Canadian sun. Booth, who plays Horse Tessa on the hit show, posted a selfie of herself wearing one of the company’s beautiful swimsuits and tagged them in the image, much to their delight. “Canadian girl summer in @londrebodywear And always sun protection by @sunbum in 50,” she captioned the post. “We love seeing you in your Londre. We'd be thrilled to share this beautiful image with our community,” the company responded. Booth has been acting since she was a young kid—here’s how she keeps a balance between work and down time.

1. Acting Dreams

Toronto,,Ontario,,Canada,-,September,8,,2019:,Kristin,Booth,AtShutterstock

Booth knew she wanted to act from an early age. “I always sort of loved performing for my family when I was really little,” she says. “When I was twelve, I auditioned for Huron Country Playhouse, which is a summer stock theater in Grand Bend, Ontario, and I was cast as an orphan in the musical Annie. It was that summer when I was walking into the first rehearsal and saw the adults there, and I don’t know why I’d never put two and two together before while watching TV, but it was like a light bulb went off for me, and I was like, 'Wait a second. You can actually do this for a living?' And that was it. And I was like, 'That’s what I wanna do.'”

2. Her Perfect Saturday

Booth loves to just relax on the weekends. “My perfect Saturday would mean slightly sleeping in—to like, 10 a.m. I’d get up and have an almond milk latte that I make here with my little Nespresso machine that I love,” she says. “Then my husband and I would get the dogs all leashed up and go for a walk. We’d come back and probably go out for brunch to Bonjour Brioche—it’s on Queen Street East. My husband and I both love pancakes so we’d probably end up having them with fresh squeezed orange juice or something like that. Maybe a side of bacon, too—gotta have some protein!”

3. Horror Movie Fan

Scared,Girls,Hiding,In,Blanket,While,Watching,Horrors,On,TvShutterstock

Booth is a big movie buff, enjoying both rom coms and scary flicks. “I have my favorites that I watch: The Princess Bride and Bridget Jones’s Diary,” she says. “Those are two of my go to feel-good movies. My best friend and I have a bit of a weird obsession with horror films, so generally when I’m at home she’ll come over and all three of us will sit around and watch really bad horror movies, like the remake of Nightmare on Elm Street. It’s so bad. It’s awful. But then there are some really great ones. We just watched the original—I think it’s Swedish—of Let the Right One In. I like to be scared—to sit for two or three hours on the sofa with my stomach in knots.”

4. Playing Ethel Kennedy

Los,Angeles,-,Jul,26:,Kristin,Booth,At,The,HallmarkShutterstock/Theo Wargo/Getty Images for RFK Human Right

Booth once played Ethel Kennedy on The Kennedys and took it seriously. “Well, you know, the first time around, it kind of haunted me a little bit–I’m not gonna lie,” she says. “And even almost more so the second time. You’re portraying someone who lived this life, who is a part of history, who is still alive, and you obviously want to do them justice and portray them as close to who they are or who they were at that time as possible. I pored over biographies and books about the Kennedys, videos and all sorts of research material in order to create this character who then became Ethel Kennedy.”

5. Bubble Baths

Booth sometimes enjoys a bath as part of a relaxing Saturday. “Sometimes I’ll take a bath before bed—I do enjoy a good bubble bath,” she says. “I like lavender essential oil in it to help me sleep. But usually it’s just us crawling into bed and passing out. I’m sort of religious about washing my face before I go to sleep. But I will admit that on more than one occasion on a Saturday, I will skip that. That’s why I have towelettes on my nightstand!”

The Conners star Emma Kenney is thrilled for some sunshine after lots of overcast weather. Kenney, who plays Harris Conner-Healy on the ABC comedy, shared pictures of herself wearing a swimsuit and jean shorts, posing by a car while snacking on a popsicle. “Haven’t seen the sun in a while,” she captioned the post. Here’s how Kenney feels about her role on the show, and what her plans for the future are.

1. Growing Up On TV

Kenney grew up on TV thanks to her role on Shameless. “Growing up on TV the way I did is something I never expected,” she says. “Nobody knew we would go on and on and on for over a decade! I definitely didn’t think that when I was so young and booked the job. It’s a special feeling to have a lot of people be able to connect and relate to you, even though I don’t know them personally.”

2. Dog Mom

Kenney kept busy during the pandemic lockdowns by taking care of her dogs, and doing other things that make her happy. “I have 4 rescue dogs, so I’m constantly on dog mom duty, which I thrive from,” she says. “So a lot of dog adventures, road trips, I started cooking, baking bread like so many of us, and tons of random crafts and FaceTime with my friends.”

3. Proud of The Conners

Los,Angeles,-,Aug,05:,Emma,Kenney,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

Kenney is thrilled to be a part of The Connors after all these years. “I think that all of us are very professional,” she says. “And there’s just so many more stories that need to be told through the Conner family and so many other different aspects of life that we’re going to get to tell, and I’m really excited and grateful for that.”

4. Reality TV Fan

Shutterstock

Kenney likes to relax in the evenings, focusing on her skincare routine and watching reality TV with her family. “I never go to sleep with my makeup on (I also rarely wear makeup), moisturize and always use sunscreen,” she says. “I love La Mer and use it almost exclusively. Reality shows are my guilty pleasure. I just binge-watched Making of a Model with my mom.”

5. Self-Love and Her Future Plans

Kenney is all about being down to earth when it comes to self-care. “Self-love, to me, kind of goes hand in hand with the best acting advice I have received, which is to not judge yourself or take yourself too seriously!” she says. Kenney has big plans for the future. “I definitely want to further pursue directing. I haven’t in a long time since pre-Shameless! I was young. But my biggest passion is photography, and that’s something I am really enjoying lately. I strictly shoot on film.”

Demi Moore, at 58, is as body confident as ever, posing in a swimsuit with her daughters in a new campaign for Andie swimwear. “LDW ready, with @andieswim,” she captioned the photo on Instagram, referring to the long weekend. How does the mom stay so fit while being so busy? 1. She’s Happy to Be Where She Is

Demi's approach to life? "It's about embracing and no longer looking for what's wrong and really being in acceptance of everything. Gravity is going in directions that I'm not so fond of. I can look in the mirror occasionally and say 'you're lying, I don't look like that.' but the reality is the comfort I feel in my skin is the greatest gift. I wouldn't trade it. I'm just happy to be where I am," she told InStyle.

2. She Knows Things Change

Celebration Of Women In Cinema Gala Hosted By The Red Sea Film Festival - The 78th Venice International Film FestivalDaniele Venturelli/Getty Images

“Things do change,” Demi told W Magazine not too long ago. “The biggest difference, I think, is that I’m not in nearly as good shape physically as I have been before, and I have skin going in a direction that I would prefer it not go. There are things that just come with getting older. But I think my big mantra for this year is about acceptance. I was reading this book that was written around 1919, if I am remembering correctly, and it was very of its day. It was discussing all the ‘female’ concerns. There were some horrific suggestions on how to take care of yourself, including putting some kind of acid on your skin. But there was one thing I took away, because I think it’s true—the author said not to frown because at a certain point it will stick. And what speaks to me here is that I do believe that when we hold upset, anger, hurt, pain or bitterness, it ages us and we wear it. That isn’t to say we are always going to feel happy. But it’s important not to hold on to things.”

3. She Was Once a Workout Obsessive

Harper's Bazaar Exhibtion At Musee Des Arts Decoratifs In ParisPascal Le Segretain/Getty Images

When getting ready for certain revealing scenes in movies, “I cut out carbs, I ran, and I biked, and I worked out on every machine imaginable. I didn’t feel like I could stop exercising,” she wrote in her book. “It was my job to fit into that unforgiving military uniform I’d be wearing in two months in A Few Good Men. Getting in shape for that movie launched the obsession with working out that would consume me over the next five years. I never dared let up.”

4. She’s Used the Mirror

Tom Ford AW20 Show - ArrivalsMike Coppola/FilmMagic

Now Demi is more likely to use the Mirror, the workout device that is an actual mirror on your wall, with built-in videos that play on it. "15 min at level 1 that’s doable … right? I am stalling!" Demi wrote once in a post. "This is going to be my next jam. Okay, here I go, wish me luck."

5. She Loves Andie Swimwear

"Demi was an early investor," Andie's founder and CEO, Melanie Travis, told InStyle. "We've always talked about what would make sense to do together, and then back in December of 2020 — in anticipation of a successful vaccine rollout and then what would hopefully be a great summer of friends and family, being able to travel, and get together again, across the United States — we felt like this could be the perfect summer to do a campaign together."

Rayna Vallandingham is flashing her washboard abs – in a two-piece exercise set from Alo. In a new social media post the actress flaunts her impressive midsection during a workout at the gym. “dojang diaries,” she captioned the series of snaps. “Magnific! Very very beautiful,” commented one of her followers. “♥️More like diaries of a hottie♥️” added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are her top lifestyle tips.

Be Consistent

Consistency – at the gym and the martial arts studio – is the key to success. "It is a way of life," Rayna says. "It's not only teaching your body movements and being in synchronicity with your body, but also just like the mental aspect of it."

Fight Your Way to a Hot Body

Rayna is a big fan of martial arts. She has been doing taekwondo since she was 2, earning her first black belt at 6. "In the very beginning, my parents put me in the sport because I was just really shy, and I think they could tell that I needed something," says Vallandingham, who lives and trains in Los Angeles. "Immediately, I just loved it. I felt at home, and every single day, instead of watching Dora, I wanted to go to the dojo,” she told Well + Good. Studies confirm that the practice helps with balance, cognitive function, psychological health, weight loss, and physical fitness.

Work on Strength and Flexibility

Rayna recommends prioritizing strength, flexibility, and power. "Of the three, I think strength and flexibility are the top two," Vallandingham says. "We used to have people stand on my legs and force my knees to come down in butterfly stretch," she says. "I have permanent damage to my body—I have tendonitis [because of this]."

Lift Weights

If you want a strong, lean body like Vallandingham, you must lift for it. The star strength trains, focusing on supersets, doing two moves back-to-back that target the same muscle groups to double down on their gains. One of her favorite exercises is a goblet squat. She stands with her feet shoulder-width apart, folded forward until she can slide her palms underneath her soles (you could also hold your ankles or calves), then bends her knees, lowering her butt toward the floor while lifting her chest, coming into a deep squat. She'll bend and extend her legs several times in this position. Then, it's on to the main event, holding a weight in her hands while bending down into a deep squat. "I love utilizing a Bosu ball—they're pretty much in every single gym," she adds.

Stretch

Rayna never skips stretching. She starts by by lying on the floor with her legs up the wall and then allowing them to open out into a side split. "I let gravity do its work because that's my body telling me, okay, this is where we're at," she says. "My hips are opening on their own, and I'm not having to force anything." “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

In a new social media post the Olympian shows off her fantastic figure – including her flat abs – in an exercise set while enjoying the winter weather. “TRAINING IN A WINTER WONDERLAND! ❄️🥶❤️✨Gearing up in this altitude for the LONDON MARATHON this April! I’m so excited to see what my mind and body can make happen! To my marathon runners: it’s your time to shine, PLEASE tell me ALL of your tips, all of your advice, and for all of you who understand what I’m about to attempt, please send your words of encouragement 😂 Also feel free to try to talk me out of this as well thanks👍 We are on the training countdown. Turning a sprinter, jumper, and thrower into a long distance runner 🫣🙌 What do you think my time will be?” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Minfulness and Meditation

Charli practices mindfulness. Before going for a run, she says words of intention. “I am willing. I am grateful. I surrender,” she revealed during an interview with San Diego Magazine. Meditation:

“When you meditate, you may clear away the information overload that builds up every day and contributes to your stress,” says the Mayo Clinic. Benefits include:

  • Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations
  • Building skills to manage your stress
  • Increasing self-awareness
  • Focusing on the present
  • Reducing negative emotions
  • Increasing imagination and creativity
  • Increasing patience and tolerance
  • Lowering resting heart rate
  • Lowering resting blood pressure
  • Improving sleep quality

Stretching

She also makes sure to stretch. “If you ever can think of some dynamic stretches: F.A.S.T. ✨🙌 My left hip and right QLs have been SO tight lately so I’m on a journey of getting them right! What’s bugging you at the moment???” she captioned a post. “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

Here Is The Right Way To Run

During her interview with San Diego, Charli explained how you should be running. “Remember, the sole of the foot is showing right in front of us,” she said, doing a type of high-knee movement. “To do this, you’re over exaggerating your running form while standing still. Raise your knee up, point your toes to the clouds (forming an A), and then pedal the sole of your foot forward before striking your knee down. It’s more complicated than it sounds after 30-plus years of moving a certain way,” the writer explained.

Positive Attitude

In a recent post Charli revealed things she learned about positivity. “Patience is easier when it isn’t required,” she said. “The people around you are BLESSINGS (which I feel like I already understood but sometimes it’s nice to have it emphasized).” Also, “We are up, we are down, but trusting the process sometimes means knowing that it’s all good even when it’s not the best” and “Making a plan is the best option for everything. It’s ok if the plan doesn’t go perfect, but just willy-nilly-ing it is not the best option when you want to get things done.”

Never Giving Up

Charli refuses to give up. “Understand what you want first, and then go for it. Then keep going for it all the time, and, eventually, you’ll get it,” she said during her interview.

Giulia Arena first made waves when she won the 2013 Miss Italia pageant. Since then, she’s become a successful actress, TV host, and model. Arena recently took a trip to the Maldives. She shared a set of photos on Instagram of herself at the beach. In them, Arena is seen in a white swimsuit. She captioned the post, “Native habitat.”

Biking

Giulia enjoys cycling. During her trip to the Maldives Giulia went bike riding. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

Reading

Giulia is also a fan of books. In the Maldives, she took some time to relax and read. One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

Snorkeling

Giulia snorkels, recently discovering the “Sea Lung,” she revealed in a post. “It reaches 60cm long with a weight of almost 10kg, and represents the largest medusa of the Mediterranean. I don’t know why, but I have always experienced the charm of Jellyfish: creatures that are essentially simple and yet capable of surviving entire geological epochs floating, light and slow, between the currents. She, remains one of the most beautiful sights of this summer.” Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Coffee

Giulia is a coffee drinker. She especially likes shots of espresso. According to the Cleveland Clinic, drinking coffee in moderation has several benefits. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise.
