Maddie Mastro is a decorated professional snowboarder who has competed in two Winter Olympics (2018 and 2022) and earned multiple medals in the World Championships and X Games. Known for her incredible athleticism, Maddie stays active in and out of the snow. Recently, she shared an Instagram post about her love of biking, captioning it, “I’ve missed you Canyon Road.” Here’s how Maddie keeps herself fit and ready to dominate the slopes.

1. She Bikes

As you can see from her Instagram post, Mastro likes to bike ride to keep herself in shape. A Healthier Michigan states that biking has a lot of health benefits. “Biking is a calorie burner. All that work your body is doing by pedaling and balancing not only works muscles in your arms and core, but it counts as serious cardio exercise and burns calories with every spin of the wheels. By biking at a moderate pace, about 12 or 13 miles per hour, a person weighing 155 pounds burns nearly 300 calories in 30 minutes, according to statistics shared by Harvard University. Like to pedal faster? A person of that same weight doing a fast pace of 14 or 15 miles per hour burns more than 370 calories in 30 minutes.”

2. She Snowboards

Naturally, snowboarding is one of the exercises that keeps Mastro in shape. Snowboarding has a lot of benefits. The University of Rochester states, “Skiing and snowboarding are thrilling activities and great workouts. Both sports are excellent cardiovascular exercises that strengthen the heart. They are also weight-bearing exercises. So hey strengthen your bones as they tone your muscles.”

3. She Walks

Mastro likes to walk to keep herself in shape. She shared this post on Instagram of herself out walking, captioning it, “Evening stroll 💕 bonus content of a fit check included.” The American Heart Association states that walking has a lot of health benefits. “Research has shown that walking at a brisk pace at least 150 minutes a week can help you: Think better, feel better and sleep better. Reduce your risk of serious diseases like heart disease, stroke, diabetes and several types of cancer. Improve your blood pressure, blood sugar and blood cholesterol levels. Increase your energy and stamina. Improve your mental and emotional well-being and reduce your risk of depression. Improve memory and reduce your risk of dementia. Boost bone strength and reduce your risk of osteoporosis. Prevent weight gain.”

4. She Uses Weights

Mastro shared this workout video on Instagram. In it, she is seen doing exercises with weights. ACE Fitness states that using weights has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

5. She Does Lunges

Maddie Mastro.5Maddie Mastro/Instagram

Mastro is also seen doing lunges in the previous Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that these have a lot of benefits. “They’re a form of unilateral training, which means you’re working only one limb or side of the body at a time. And unilateral training is a more effective way to build functional strength (than using both legs) because these types of movement mimic other everyday motions, like walking and climbing stairs — and not just to the working leg. Research suggests the strength gains to the nonworking side are about half of the strength gains of the working side.”

Ester Ledecká, a professional snowboarder from the Czech Republic, is known for her athletic prowess on the slopes, but she recently gave her Instagram followers a humorous glimpse into her everyday life. In a playful post, Ledecká compared her vacuuming skills to those of her trusty Roomba, affectionately named Bob, captioning the video, “Me vs. Bob.” When she's not making her followers laugh with lighthearted moments, Ledecká is busy staying in top shape. From snowboarding, her primary sport, to golfing, surfing, and cycling, she embraces a wide range of physical activities to keep herself fit and healthy. Her dedication to staying active, combined with her fun-loving spirit, showcases how she balances elite competition with everyday enjoyment.

1. She Snowboards

Snowboarding is the main way Ledecká stays in shape. The sport is very beneficial for your health. The University of Rochester reports, “Skiing and snowboarding are thrilling activities and great workouts. Both sports are excellent cardiovascular exercises that strengthen the heart. They are also weight-bearing exercises. So hey strengthen your bones as they tone your muscles. Cardiovascular or aerobic exercises also work to reduce your risk for ongoing (chronic) diseases. They lower your blood pressure. And they help you maintain a healthy body weight. Through regular aerobic exercise like skiing and snowboarding, you lower your risk of developing conditions like diabetes and heart disease, having a stroke, and perhaps even getting cancer.”

2. She Has A Stationary Bike

Ester LedeckáEster Ledecká /Instagram

Ledecká owns a stationary bike. She is even seen cleaning it in her recent Instagram video. Using a stationary bike has a lot of benefits. Penn State PRO Wellness says, “A 2010 study (Trusted Source) found that indoor cycling, combined with a low-calorie diet, was effective in reducing body weight and body fat in the study’s participants. It was also effective in lowering cholesterol and triglyceride levels. The participants cycled for 45 minutes three times per week, and they consumed 1,200 calories per day for 12 weeks.”

3. She Golfs

Ledecká does a lot of other sports in addition to snowboarding. One thing she likes to do is play golf. She shared this video on Instagram of herself taking a swing. Ledecká captioned the post, “Here we go.” Better Health states that playing golf has a lot of benefits. “Playing golf regularly can help you: stay fit, improve muscle tone and endurance, lose weight and body fat.

Golf can also: be a great way to keep in touch with friends, help in reducing stress (as a result of the physical activity and also due to the pleasure of walking in an open and natural environment), provide opportunities to meet new people, help develop a sense of community connectedness.”

4. She Surfs

Ledecká spends a lot of time in the water. She shares a lot of Instagram posts of herself at the beach. One thing she likes to do is surf. She posted this video of herself surfing, captioning it, “Got some new gear from @point7official and @av.boards and nobody’s gonna get me out of the water now💙🤙🏽 I got new equipment from @point7official and @av.boards and now no one can get me out of the water💙🤙🏽”

5. She Swims

Another thing that Ledecká likes to do when she’s at the beach is going for a swim. She shared this video on Instagram of herself in the water. The Mayo Clinic states that swimming has a lot of benefits. "Swimming is a wonderful sport. I definitely recommend swimming for people of all ages," says Dr. Matthew Crowe, a Mayo Clinic orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine expert. “Swimming is easy on the joints, and it's very good for both cardiac health and your core strength. And it also can give you really excellent strength around the shoulders, and hips and knees.”

MMA fighter Aspen Ladd is ready to rumble—you can tell by counting the abs on her stomach. Ladd, 29, shared a picture of herself posing in red yoga pants and a purple shirt, showing off impressive abdominal muscles in preparation for her fight. “You can usually tell how close to a fight I am , based on how many abs I have 😂 the current answer is, ‘very close’,” she captioned the post. Here’s how Ladd stays strong, fit, focused, and ready for the ring.

1. Hiking With the Pups

Ladd loves to hike with her pups (and doesn’t mind doing some heavy lifting in the process). “We all need a little help sometimes 🙂 this is on today’s 11.5 mile hike. Kaia needs help to cross fast moving water like this ( she will be 14 this summer). It's a privilege to still have old girl as my adventure buddy and enjoying her wild self ❤️,” she captioned an Instagram post.

2. 5 Mile Runs In the Mountains

Ladd goes running in the Sierra Nevada Mountains with her dogs. “5 miles of running and a whole bunch of playing is good for the soul …especially on Thursday before evening training. Because Thursdays are ROUGH usually. Balance ⚖️,” she captioned an Instagram post.

3. Scrubbing Down the Mats

Ladd likes to cool down after training by cleaning the mat herself. “Rate our mat scrubbing skills,” she captioned a funny video. “This gym is a funk free zone 🙅‍♀️ it’s luck of the draw who scrubs them down after each practice ( usually the last ones in the gym) ….but I never mind and it’s a nice cool down after some real good sparring rounds tonight.”

4. Respect For Nature

Ladd is aware the mountains can be dangerous, always has her two German Shepherd dogs with her for protection when she’s hiking. “A beautiful 8 mile loop near my home. It’s always crazy to me when I see people out solo hiking or running. No dogs no other people, headphones in …just livin on hope 😂,” she captioned an Instagram post. “For example, just tonight in 8 miles my dogs alerted that there was some kind of predator near by on 5 separate occasions. Could be anything from a coyote to a bear 🐻 I never know until I find prints of scat . 2 weeks ago it was a cougar. How do I know it’s a predatory animal, you may ask? Easy , my dogs spend so much time out in the mountains with me that I know based on their different reactions.”

5. Recovery Workouts

Ladd switches up her training when to deal with injuries while still staying active. I tweaked my back pretty good at the end of last week, and it’s not quite up to chucking humans around yet 🤼‍♀️,” she captioned a video. “So my coach gave me a less body wrecking assignment to do tonight, and give the back one more day to recover.

Warm up / stretch for 1 mile

Then

Run 1 mile

Shadow box 5 minutes

Repeat ✖️3

Visualize opponents/ scenarios the whole time and practice what we’ve been drilling. It’s a great low stress workout for anyone wanting to try 🙂.”

Snowboarding champion Chloe Kim is a huge advocate of strength training, once crediting single-leg squats and weights with helping her win gold at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. Kim recently shared a series of pictures updating fans and followers on her day-to-day hijinks, including a snap of herself sitting in a weight room wearing Nike shorts and a cropped sweatshirt. “Been a lil whileeeeee!! I need to get better at posting but thinking of going somewhere snowy soon 🥹🤍,” she captioned the post. Kim is just 23 and killing it on the slopes—here’s what her diet and fitness routine looks like.

1. Strength Training and Running

Kim’s workouts are a combination of weights and high-intensity cardio. “My trainer, Roy, is incredible, and I feel much stronger than I ever have,” she told Bustle. “I’ve also been working on my cardio a bit because I’m sick of being out of breath after a run. To recover, I get physical therapy. When I’m in Los Angeles, my physical therapist, Vinh, takes care of me. When I’m in the snow, my physical therapist is Emilie. I always need someone with me on the road to ensure I’m goes od and ready to go.”

2. She’s a Foodie

Kim’s genuine love for food has become the stuff of legend. "I'm Korean, so I love me some Korean barbecue,” she told Shape. “I have this crazy workout, so I'm like, I deserve to eat. I love eating out, but I also love cooking. My boyfriend has celiac disease, so I'm into looking at recipes and then making them gluten-free. It's a challenge, but I can make anything. Really. If I have the recipe and a vision of what I think will taste better, I'll do it. The other day I made this orzo dish, and it was super good. It's like I have a superpower. I just know what to put in it."

3. Mental Health Care

Kim takes care of her mental health through movement and fresh air. “I wholeheartedly believe that in order to be a great athlete, you have to take care of your mental health,” she told Bustle. “Sport is of course physical, but it’s taxing on the mind as well. Personally, I’ve been spending a lot of time with my family and my ‘kids’ — my dog, Reese, and my horse, Mochi. They help me feel grounded and level-headed. Just getting outside — it could be skateboarding, walking, outdoor runs, a workout... anything to keep me busy. I also like to practice gratitude and remind myself of how blessed I am.”

4. Green Fingers

Kim has developed an appreciation for plants and growing her own vegetables. "I just moved into a new house, and I have a newfound love for plants,” she told Shape. “It's actually bad. I'll go to Lowe's to get something I need, like a hose, and I'll be stuck in the plant section for two hours. My boyfriend built me a planter box, so that's been fun. I have some bell peppers growing, some jalapeños, some tomatoes. I planted a watermelon. I'm really going at it. I planted asparagus. For that one, I have to wait five years to reap the benefits, but that's okay. They're like my children now, so I'll wait."

5. The Future of Snowboarding

Kim isn’t sure what, if anything, she would change about snowboarding as a sport. “I love what I do and I think there's a lot of room for progression for sure,” she told NBC Olympics. “We do have these new contests, though, called modified halfpipes, where they bring different features into the course in addition to the halfpipe. I had a lot of fun at those because I loved slopestyle when I was younger, before I decided to stick to halfpipe. But with those modified halfpipes, it really challenges you to be a good, all-around snowboarder.”

Mikaela Shiffrin, one of the world’s top alpine skiers, continues to stay active and adventurous even off the slopes. With a record-breaking three Olympic medals and the highest World Cup wins, Shiffrin’s commitment to fitness is clear. Recently, she shared glimpses of her hiking routine on Instagram, capturing her journey through nature with the thought-provoking caption, “Plot twist…what if the journey IS the destination?” Her workout routine reveals a dedication to building strength and endurance, keeping her primed for skiing’s physical demands.

1. She Hikes

As you can see from her Instagram post, Shiffrin likes to hike to keep herself in shape. Harvard Health states that hiking has a lot of benefits. “Walking is great exercise, but sometimes you need a break from your usual neighborhood loop or the monotony of the basement treadmill. Head out for a hike instead. It's similar to walking but can give you a fitness boost along with a dose of novelty and adventure. And not only is hiking great exercise, it doesn't require much equipment. Navigating a winding, wooded trail can help your body build endurance, strength, and coordination, says Dr. Edward Phillips, assistant professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School.”

2. She Skis

Skiing is one of the main things that Shiffrin does to keep herself in shape. Skiing has a lot of health benefits. The University of Rochester states, “Skiing and snowboarding are thrilling activities and great workouts. Both sports are excellent cardiovascular exercises that strengthen the heart. They are also weight-bearing exercises.

3. She Does RDLs

Shiffrin shared some of her favorite workouts in this Instagram video. One exercise she is seen doing is RDLs with a barbell. Shiffrin captioned the post, “Spilled a bit of my sandwich on my nearly-white leggings in the car and then went and rolled around in the gym for a bit. Feelin’ wonderful and productive! 🤣🙃😜” ACE Fitness states that RDLs have a lot of benefits. “The most important benefit of the RDL is that it teaches the proper movement and biomechanics of standing hip flexion and extension. This is the foundational movement for squatting, whether the movement is performed with a weight in the gym or while bending over to pick an object up from the floor.”

4. She Strength Trains

Mikaela Shiffrin.4Mikaela Shiffrin/Instagram

Shiffrin does a lot of strength training. In the previous Instagram video, she is seen doing RDLs and lifting a weight with her legs. Strength training is very beneficial. The Mayo Clinic states, “Strength training may enhance your quality of life and improve your ability to do everyday activities. Strength training can also protect your joints from injury. Building muscle also can contribute to better balance and may reduce your risk of falls. This can help you maintain independence as you age.”

5. She Uses A Treadmill

Shiffrin shared another workout video in this Instagram video. One thing she is seen doing is walking and running on a treadmill. Healthy Talbot states that this has a lot of benefits. “Treadmills provide outstanding cardiovascular exercises, which can significantly enhance your heart health. Thanks to their ability to maintain constant heart rates throughout the exercise. If you’ve high cholesterol or cardiovascular issues, this can be very beneficial. They can help to diagnose cardiac issues like heart disease and artery blockages. Under normal circumstances, your body may not exhibit symptoms of these heart conditions. However, when put under pressure through a workout, those symptoms will be displayed.”

Alice De Bortoli doesn’t just light up Instagram with her stunning fashion and effortless style—she also shares the secrets behind her enviable beach-ready physique. The Italian influencer keeps her followers in the loop when it comes to fitness, beauty, and wellness, proving that looking and feeling great is all about consistency. From skincare rituals to core-sculpting workouts, De Bortoli’s daily habits make it clear that staying in shape is about more than just hitting the gym. Whether she’s cooking up homemade meals, breaking a sweat, or showing off a fresh new look, she’s all about feeling her best from the inside out. Here are five of her go-to habits for maintaining a strong, confident, and glowing presence all year long.

She Takes Care Of Her Skin

De Bortoli has impressive skin. Naturally, she takes care of it on a regular basis. De Bortoli shared this video on Instagram sharing her skincare routine. She captioned it, “The secret to perfect skin? Here is my step by step routine! ✨💦🎀 What product can you absolutely not live without?”

She Changed Her Hair Color

Alice De Bortoli dyed her hair

De Bortoli recently changed her hair color. She explained why in the caption of this Instagram post. “The good thing about this color is that it does not require frequent touch-ups and it easily adapts to natural hair growth, it is versatile and can enhance any body and face shape 🧡for those who are tired of blonde or brown, bronde is the solution to change harmony without distortion 🤍for those who have a fair complexion, the most golden tone is recommended 🤎 for the dark complexion, on the other hand, more ash brown ❤️ 🔥what can I say... For me the bronde conquered, and what do you think?”

She Cooks

Alice De Bortoli is seen cooking

De Bortoli likes to cook, and she was taught to do so by her grandmother. She shared this video on Instagram of herself and her grandmother cooking together. De Bortoli captioned it, “Grandparents are wealth in society, my grandmother loves to cook and do it with her since I was a child. She has always inspired my creativity, patience, discipline and order but above all traditions, history, and the concreteness of nature's gifts. The greatest teaching my grandparents passed on to me is respect for people, the environment, animals and the kitchen... Today together we made Carnival Frittelle, an easy, quick dessert that adults and kids love. The ingredients are few and simple (but of high quality) and, trust me, the result is guaranteed: nice round but above all soft and tasty.”

She Works Her Abs

Alice De Bortoli/Instagram

De Bortoli shared this video of herself working out on Instagram. In it, she is seen doing core exercises like sit-ups. Core exercises are extremely important. The Mayo Clinic says, “Strong core muscles make it easier to do many activities. When your core muscles are strong, it's easier to swing a golf club, get a glass from the top shelf and bend down to tie your shoes. Strong core muscles help athletes, such as runners. That's because weak core muscles can lead to more fatigue, less endurance and injuries.”

She Works Out With Others

Alice De Bortoli works out with a friend

In the previous Instagram video, De Bortoli is seen working out with a friend. Better Health says that this has a lot of benefits. “You’re less likely to get bored when you have a workout buddy, especially a friend. While you’re catching up, having a laugh, encouraging each other, you’re also getting healthier. It’s a win-win. Chatting to a friend during exercise and breaks can help time pass quickly too. You’ll have more options as well, such as a game of tennis or squash.”

Kristin Cavallari is a reality TV and fashion icon. Since she debuted on Laguna Beach, people have clamoured for her fashion and beauty secrets. Cavallari recently shared her eye makeup secrets on Instagram, after several people asked for them. She captioned the post, “This is for the girlies in my DMs asking about this eye every time I do it. Sorry the lighting is awful. I also don’t know why the audio isn’t in sync for half of it 🫣 but here ya go 💗”

She's Less Strict With Her Diet

Kristin shares a Zucchini Almond Butter Blondies recipe

Kristin Cavallari/Instagram

Cavallari has written several cookbooks, and they have changed as her diet has changed. While promoting her book, Truly Simple with EatingWell, she revealed that her diet is less strict. “I've gotten to a point in my life where not everything has to be so perfect anymore,” Cavallari said. “I used to be so strict about what I was putting in my body. I'm still very healthy and very conscious of it, but I've gotten a little bit more lax. True Roots and True Comfort had nothing ‘white’ in them: no white flour, no white sugar, no white salt. But in Truly Simple, I bend a little bit in a few of the recipes, which really reflects where I am in my life and my new way of eating. Everything is a little bit more relaxed around here now.’

She Loves Cauliflower

Cavallari tells EatingWell that she loves making foods with cauliflower. “I love cauliflower because I think it's very versatile, and there's actually a Sweet Harissa Cauliflower recipe in Truly Simple that's my absolute favorite cauliflower recipe on the planet. If you've ever been to True Food Kitchen, their cauliflower was the inspiration behind it. There's this sweet harissa dressing that's on it, and there's little chopped-up dates in it, so it has that nice balance between sweet and savory. It's the absolute best.”

She Loves Salad

Krisitn Cavallari/Instagram

Cavallari likes to make salads. She shared one of her favorite recipes with EatingWell. “This salad has a few of my favorite things: salmon (which has omega-3s and is so, so good for you), bacon (no explanation needed), avocado (healthy fats), and spicy tomatillo ranch dressing (just yum). Together, they create culinary heaven. If you aren't familiar with tomatillos, they're similar to tomatoes but are slightly less sweet and are perfect when drenched in ranch.”

She Works With A Trainer

Cavallari tells Us Weekly that a lot of her gym sessions are with her personal trainer. “He kicks my ass,” she says. “He pushes me really hard. He has me actually lifting really heavy weight, the heaviest weight I’ve ever lifted in my entire life. I feel the best I ever have. I feel like I’m the strongest I’ve ever been.”

She Shared Her Eye Makeup Trick

Cavallari shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Us Weekly. She says that consistency is one of her biggest priorities. “My goal is sort of, right now, just to maintain the muscle that I have,” she says. “I’m really petite. I have no hips. I’m just small. And so if I don’t work out for like a week or two, I feel like all my muscle goes away. So it is about consistency for me.”

Being free is being willing to carry the weight of your own life and still find it funny.”

In her Instagram post, Andrade is seen swimming. The Cleveland Clinic says that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Swimming takes much less of a toll on your body than, say, running or riding a bike. That’s because exercising in water lessens the impact of your body weight on your joints.”

She Does Gymnastics

Gymnastics is the main way Andrade stays in shape. British Gymnastics states that the sport has a lot of benefits. “When you take part in gymnastics, or any sport for that matter, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These also help to trigger a positive feeling in the body which can have a positive impact on your happiness and mental wellbeing. This can help to combat feelings of anxiety and depression.”

She Prioritizes Safety

Andrade talked about her training approach in an interview with the Olympics website. She says that she and her coach prioritize her safety, and that she will skip floor sessions if she isn’t able to do it. "I talk a lot with my coach and we trust in each other. We always try to be really safe, and do floor in the correct moments. He believes in me. I'm never going to lie to not do it. So, when I really tell him that I can't do it, it's because I cannot and he always respects that.”

She Sets Goals

In her Olympics website interview, Andrade talked about her commitment and goal setting. Specifically, she talked about her goal to make the Olympic team. “The other [goal], which is the main one, is for us to qualify as a team,” Andrade said. “I think it will be very important for me, for my team, and the focus is on that, whatever happens there, the result is a consequence of our work, of our commitment. But I really want to be there with my team and be happy and healthy.”

She Cooks

Andrade makes sure to eat healthy. She also likes to cook a lot of her own meals. She shared some of her favorite things to make in an interview with NPR. “There was one that was with potatoes and cheese, chicken. There’s cake. There’s cookies. A lot of things.”
