Say Hello to 'Soap Nails,' the Fresh, Glossy Trend Celebs Are Wearing
If you like to stay on top of your manicure game, you may have heard of the fresh, natural trend this year called "soap nails." Celebs are obsessed with the stylish look, and we're here to chat about the popular new nail style that's all over Instagram and TikTok. (Because, let's be honest: Trying to decide on a color is always a struggle—and soap nails take any indecisiveness out of the equation!)
What Are Soap Nails?
Many favorite celebs have been spotted with soap nails, including Kylie Jenner, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Lily-Rose Depp, Mikey Madison, and Elle Fanning. In fact, the trend made an elegant statement on the red carpet of the 2025 Oscars.
What are soap nails, exactly? The trend consists of a simple, shiny manicure in tones of white, soft/milky pink, or nude, giving off a clean "soap" vibe—hence the name. It's incredibly fresh, neutral, and minimalistic, coordinating with so many looks.

How To Achieve This "Squeaky Clean" Trend
How can you channel the soap nails trend? According to The Everygirl, you'll first shape your nails into an elongated almond shape and clean up your cuticles. Make sure your base is smooth so the polish goes on seamlessly.
According to InStyle, soap nails can be accomplished with a gel or regular polish, although a gel manicure lasts longer and appears shinier.

Now, onto colors. Choose a soft, milky shade of pink, such as OPI Bubble Bath.
Celebrity manicurist Tom Bachik posted an Instagram photo of Selena Gomez's long, gorgeous nails rocking a "Soap Girl Mani" in February. Bachik revealed the products used include, "My favorite @tweezerman tools [and] @apresnailofficial Gel Couleur in Spring Sigh."
Some other popular polishes to consider are OPI Passion, which offers sheer coverage; OPI Baby, Take a Vow, to channel the iconic sheer pink hue celebs love; Essie Gel Couture Fairy Tailor; or Olive & June's CCT, a "pretty sheer pink" that gets its name from Cologne Trude, the co-founder of Show Me Your Mumu, paired with the brand's The Queen Takes Her Tea With Milk.
