Find out all of her diet and fitness secrets

Sofia Vergara is celebrating the summer season in a thong bikini. In a new social media post, the stunning star shows off her famous curves in a tiny bathing suit. “Llego el verano!” she captioned the post, which translates to “summer is here.” Her followers were quick to comment on the steamy snacks. “Come over ….I am doing the same thing. Sunbathing 😛,” said fellow bikini queen Heidi Klum. “😍” added Diplo. How does she keep herself fit at 52? Here are all of her diet and fitness secrets.

1

She Doesn’t Do Things Just Because Everybody Else Is

Sofia doesn’t follow diet and fitness trends. “Well, I feel like you have to do what works for you. That’s when you really find what makes your look, because I think all of this is just to enhance and make you feel better and look better. I don’t feel like you need to be doing what everybody’s doing, because it’s not going to work for you. You have to find the things that look good on you and stick to it,” she recently told Harper’s Bazaar.

2

She Drinks Coffee

Sofia is a coffee drinker. How does she take it? She told E! News: “Black coffee. Colombian, of course!” she told them. The Cleveland Clinic maintains that there are several benefits of drinking coffee in moderation. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

3

She Eats a Healthy Breakfast

Vergara is a breakfast eater. “I grab a quick breakfast. I usually prepare it the night before. One of my favorites is a kind of homemade muesli made of Greek yogurt, oats, chia seeds, nuts, and blueberries,” she told Glamour.

She Does Pilates

Sofia’s go-to workout is Pilates, “on the Lagree Fitness Megaformer machine,” she told Glamour. According to research, Pilates exercises are designed to enhance muscle strength, endurance, and flexibility, while also improving posture and balance. Experts maintain that it is an excellent workout for toning and slimming.

5

She Spins

Vergara also goes to spin class. “I also mix in spinning classes for cardio a couple of times per week,” she told Glamour. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is excellent for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

6

She Works Out with a Trainer

Vergara exercises three or four times a week with a trainer in her home gym, “so I don’t have any excuses,” she told Women’s Health. However, “it’s like torture” for her. “I’m in a bad mood two hours before, I’m in a bad mood while I’m doing it, I’m in a bad mood at the end because I have to schedule the next class,” she confessed.
