Sommer Ray is stretching in her workout gear. In a new social media post the gorgeous influencer shows off her incredibly fit figure in a sports bra and leggings, getting ready for a sweat session in a studio. “Morning stretch,” she wrote about the Instagram Stories images. How does the fitness influencer maintain her impressive physique? Here is everything you need to know about her diet and exercise routine.

1. She Lifts Weights

Sommer started her weight lifting journey at the age of 14 and started competing at 16. She explained, "it’s a whole different world where many girls are on steroids, and I didn’t want to do that to my body," to Cosmopolitan about her decision to quit competing.

2. She Stretches

Sports.,Woman,At,The,Gym,Doing,Stretching,Exercises,And,SmilingShutterstock

Sommer understands the importance of stretching, as can be evidenced in her recent post. “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong, and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints,” says Harvard Health. “Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are weak and unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage.”

3. She Exercises 5 Days a Week

Sommer exercises like it's her job – because it is. You can find her in sweat sessions five times a week for up to 90 minutes, spending an entire two days on her lower body. "If my glutes are sore, I tell myself, 'I probably shouldn't work them today,' " she explained. "I just listen to my body." She also mixes things up. "There’s not a certain exercise or specific workout that’s beneficial," she says. "I switch it up every day and try to make it fun, because as soon as it feels like a job, you don’t want to do it."

4. She Consumes Lots of Protein

Sommer.Ray.2Sommer Ray/Instagram

Ray consumes at least 70 grams of protein per day to keep her glutes built and maintain muscle mass. She starts the day with a protein shake, and then eats five more small but protein-packed meals throughout the day, she told Cosmo. Grilled chicken, veggies and steamed white rice is one of her go-to meals. Starchy veggies and whole grains fulfill her carb requirements. "If I want a slice of pizza, I have a slice of pizza. I want to look good, but I also want to enjoy life," she explained. She added to Luxury Lifestyle Magazine that she can’t say no to a weekly burger. “Ooh, easy. In-n-out. I probably go once a week,” she said when asked what her favorite restaurant was.

5. She Takes Baths

Sommer.Ray.1Sommer Ray/Instagram

What is Sommer’s self-care ritual? “Baths lol, I love baths with Epsom salts and lavender essential oil. It's really the most relaxing thing for me. It's my therapy, I can sit in there for hours,” she told Paper. Baths have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.

Sommer Ray is a lot of things. She is a bodybuilder. She’s a fitness model and influencer. She’s a skincare maven, with her line IMARAÏS. And she’s recently started her DJ career. Ray recently shared a new photo on her Instagram story. In it, she wore a green shirt and brown shorts. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Sommer Ray stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Makes Time For Herself

Ray tells Heatworld that she always makes time for herself. "Sundays are all about relaxation,” she says. “I love to take a hot bath, moisturise, curl up in my robe, and de-stress after a busy week. And of course, hang out with my pets. I’m a huge animal fanatic and grew up on a ranch in Colorado surrounded by them, so spending as much time as possible with them is really important to me. It’s my favourite pastime."

2. She Has A Simple Skincare Routine

Ray tells Heatworld that she keeps her skincare simple, and that she kept this in mind when developing her line. "I developed IMARAÏS with my own personal experiences in mind but also taking into account that everyone’s skin is unique. I always have my friends try out my IMARAÏS gummies, and they get hooked quickly as they just taste so good! I feel that most people don’t need a 12-step skincare routine, we need long-lasting solutions that start from within and effective ingredients. That’s exactly what IMARAÏS stands for."

3. She Stays Hydrated

Ray makes sure that she’s staying hydrated. She tells Heatworld that this is one of her biggest wellness secrets. "Making sure I drink enough water, although I am always careful in making sure I don’t waste it. Water wastage is a huge issue that people don’t necessarily think about, but it’s really important to me.”

4. She Has A Morning Routine

Ray likes to start her day off on the right foot. She shared her morning routine with Heatworld. "To me, the key to mornings is getting active as early as possible. Get your heart rate up by doing a workout or going for a run. I always eat a healthy breakfast too, as it sets me up for the busy day ahead. Also, do something to make yourself feel confident. Put on a cute outfit, smile at yourself in the mirror, and just be happy to be you!"

5. She Listens to Her Body

Sommer RaySommer Ray/Instagram

Ray shared some of her fitness secrets in an interview with Cosmopolitan. She says that she does a variety of things to keep herself in shape. "If my glutes are sore, I tell myself, 'I probably shouldn't work them today,' " she says. "I just listen to my body. There’s not a certain exercise or specific workout that’s beneficial. I switch it up every day and try to make it fun, because as soon as it feels like a job, you don’t want to do it."

Activewear Influencer Dani Bonnor Says "Got the Splits"

We are committed to bringing you researched, expert-driven content to help you make more informed decisions around food, health, and wellness. We know how important making choices about your overall health is, and we strive to provide you with the best information possible.

Dani Bonner is a very successful influencer. She is known for sharing a lot of fitness and wellness content on her Instagram. A few weeks ago, Bonner shared a set of photos of herself modeling some new workout clothes and doing a split. She captioned the post, “Today I got into the SPLITS yeowwww!!”

She Stretches

As you can see from her Instagram post, Bonnor likes to do stretches to keep herself in shape. According to Harvard Health, stretching is very important. “Stretching keeps the muscles flexible and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints. Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are unable to extend all the way. That puts you at risk for joint pain, strains, and muscle damage. For example, sitting in a chair all day results in tight hamstrings in the back of the thigh. That can make it harder to extend your leg or straighten your knee all the way, which inhibits walking. Likewise, when tight muscles are suddenly called on for a strenuous activity that stretches them, such as playing tennis, they may become damaged from suddenly being stretched. Injured muscles may not be strong enough to support the joints, which can lead to joint injury.”

She Does Pilates

Bonnor likes to do Pilates to keep herself in shape. She specifically likes to use a reformer. Bonnor shares a lot of posts on Instagram of herself doing Pilates. She shared these photos of herself using the reformer, captioning them, “Pre workout and Pilates!!! This is my time for me. Doing what I love and what I need. 🫶🏼”

She Wants To Be Healthy

For Bonnor, being healthy is a priority for her. She talked about this in the caption of this Instagram post. “Can't wait to get back into this body.... One that feels balanced, steady, strong. One that I can trust is healthy. One that I can stop worrying 24/7 about. One where I'm not waiting for a ‘symptom’ to pop up and take over my existence..I've been so patient. I've learnt the hard lessons.. I have never given up even if sometimes I felt it was easier to. Healing sure isn't linear, it really does show you that you are stronger than you think you are though!!”

She Loves Strawberries

Bonnor likes to make smoothie bowls. She shared this recipe for one on Instagram. In it, she uses strawberries. According to The Cleveland Clinic, strawberries have a lot of benefits. “For starters, strawberries are loaded with vitamin C. Eight medium strawberries contain 160% of your daily recommended amount — the amount that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommends you eat every day. That’s more vitamin C than you get from an orange, the fruit famous for its vitamin C.”

She Loves Blueberries

Freshly,Picked,Blueberries,In,Wooden,Bowl.,Juicy,And,Fresh,BlueberriesShutterstock

Bonnor is also seen using blueberries in her smoothie bowl recipe. Blueberries have a lot of benefits. The Mayo Clinic states, “A one-cup serving of blueberries contains 25% of the recommended daily value for vitamin C and 4 grams of dietary fiber, but only 80 calories. Plus, blueberries are juicy fruits, which means they contain mostly water. That high water content makes them great for weight loss or maintenance because they fill you up quickly without a lot of calories.”

Kerly Ruiz is training her legs – in her two-piece workout gear. In a new social media post the fitness personality shows off her amazingly fit figure during an exercise session. “Workout of the day!! Here I leave you today's exercise for quadriceps!!” she captioned the Instagram post. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Here's What She Eats in a Day

Kerly shared a sample day of eating, starting with breakfast: 3 egg whites and 1 whole egg

30g of oats or 1/2 potatoes. Next up, a snack, a protein shake and 2 small Colombian potatoes. Then, for lunch she has 140g chicken with 100g rice and a green salad. For a snack she has 90g shrimp and zucchini vegetable pasta. And finally, for dinner she has 110g of fish with 1 egg and green salad.

Intermittent Fasting

In order to “lose weight, burn fat and get super fit” Kerly intermittent fasts, which she calls her eating method. Intermittent fasting works by “prolonging the period when your body has burned through the calories consumed during your last meal and begins burning fat,” explains Johns Hopkins Medicine.

Low Carb Diet

Kerly is on a low carb diet, she told El Estimulo, revealing she only eats “light” sandwiches. “I try not to eat a lot of bread because it makes my belly bigger, but when I can, I use whole wheat bread. I try to combine it with protein, which is very important to maintain muscle. I like to put some dressings that give flavor to the sandwich so that the diet is pleasant and I don't get bored,” she says. “Olives, avocado, olive oil, alfalfa, whole wheat toast, a grilled chicken breast and a little mustard, because it's the only dressing that doesn't have calories. No mayonnaise, no tomato sauce.”

She Counts Calories

“My diet only allows me a low-calorie sandwich, between 150 and 180 calories, which could be eaten mid-morning - I eat 6 times a day - because you can't eat carbohydrates at night. I try to find the right flavors, since I live on a diet. I put a little bit of what I have at home, avocado, which even though it has fat, it's the good kind, tomato too, so to speak, you can't overdo it either, and olive oil, which is a good fat for the body, skin, hair and nails,” she added.

No Mayo

One ingredient that she would never put in a sandwich? “Mayonnaise because I think that first of all it's greasy for the skin, it gives you acne and secondly it goes to your belly, your rolls. I don't like mayonnaise at all,” she said.

In a new social media post the marathon runner shows off her svelte figure wearing a sports bra and leggings in a mirror selfie. “Gym session this morning,” she wrote across the Instagram Stories image. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Has Cystic Fibrosis

Sophie was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at four months old and was told she might not live past 16.“Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease that affects your lungs and digestive system, inherited from birth - although I was actually diagnosed very late,” she told Women’s Health. She added to Strava that she ended up in the hospital at 19 and was told by doctors she "only had a couple of years to live,” she said. “I think this is where the power of naivety can sometimes kick in. I sat there in the hospital thinking ‘I don’t believe you. I don’t have time to die. There are all these things I want to do with my life.’”

Running "Saved My Life" She Says

“Running saved my life. If I hadn’t gone on my journey and decided to challenge myself through running in different ways, who knows whether or not I’d still be here today,” Sophie told Strava. “I believe fitness saved my life, because it’s given me experiences and memories, and it’s also shown me what I am capable of. My happiest times and my happiest memories have been the ones where I've been leaning into the most discomfort.”

Goal Setting

Sophie recently revealed that her goal for 2025 is to complete “12 challenges in 12 months,” she wrote in a post. “I thrive and love big challenges but next year is about being able to achieve smaller but just as significant goals throughout the year to fit into life and staying fit and strong simply say YES to anything. The main goal being I want to see how fast and strong of a runner I can become and add in some different types of adventure to take me back to the mountains, trying new things to push me out of my comfort zone and with few things set already and a dream race in place which I’ll talk about soon its turning into an incredible year. And Also the building blocks to get as strong as I can ready for the big challenge I want to do after…I love setting goals.”

Swimming

As part of her workout split, which she shared on Instagram, Sophie swims. “Weeks out from @newyorkcity_marathon,” she wrote. Why does she swim? “I swim for recovery and to reduce impact plus benefits for my engine and lungs for running,” she said in the post. She does two 30 minute swims per week. Swimming is a good way to get regular aerobic physical activity, according to the CDC. Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. In addition to the many physical benefits, there are multiple studies supporting the mental health benefits of swimming as well.

Hiking

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Tammy Hebrew has a banana snack.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying bananas in her “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that bananas have a lot of benefits. “A single medium-sized banana offers about 32 mg of the mineral magnesium, which fulfills around 8% to 10% of your daily magnesium requirement. Magnesium is involved in many processes in your body, including: Blood pressure. Blood sugar levels. Building proteins. Maintaining bone. Muscle function. Nerve function.”

She Loves Cottage Cheese

Tammy Hebrew's snack the contains banana and cottage cheese.

Hembrow is seen enjoying her bananas with cottage cheese in the previous Instagram video. Cottage cheese is very healthy. It’s hard to believe that Jennifer Aniston is 55 and turning 56 in February! Since soaring to fame in 1994, the Friends star has hardly aged in the three decades that have passed – and she has never been secretive about her devotion to health and wellness. Her hard work over the years has paid off through her strong and lean body and ageless looks. Here is everything you need to know about Jennifer Aniston’s approach to longevity.

She Maintains a High Protein Diet

Jennifer Aniston arrives to the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards

"My nutrition is very much the same. It's usually a lot of high protein, vegetables, salads, soups,” she tells People. “I do 80/20. I give myself days where I can have whatever I want. I don’t deprive myself,” she added to TODAY. Why should you consider amping up your protein intake? According to clinical trials, consuming more protein than the recommended dietary allowance not only reduces body weight (BW) but also enhances body composition by decreasing fat mass while preserving fat-free mass (FFM) in both low-calorie and standard-calorie diets.

She Cheats on Occasion

Jennifer allows herself to indulge in “everything I would possibly want on a weekend,” she told People. Her cheat meal “depends,” she says. “I mean, dare I sound repetitive, but Mexican food is a real favorite of mine. It's not even that much of a cheat, to be honest. Or a cheeseburger or pizza or pasta — all that stuff.”

She Tries to Get Enough Sleep

“My bigger challenge is sleep. I think that’s all part of our nutritional hygiene — the amount of water we get as well as the amount of sleep we get. It’s the combination of all of those things that make your workouts the most effective," she told TODAY.

She Exercises in the Morning

“I’ve become gentler with myself,” she says of her approach to fitness, which has “definitely evolved” over the years. “I find that I can be gentler on my body and still get the benefits of a great workout,” she told Prevention. She specifically loves P.Volve workouts, a functional fitness that helps you “function throughout the day” and “work out your essential muscle groups to keep your body strong,” she says. “So you can live a long, healthy, strong life.”

She Hydrates

Aniston prioritizes hydration, drinking a whopping 100 ounces of water per day. "But occasionally I just have to have a Diet Coke—there's nothing like it!" According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is essential for various reasons. Water helps eliminate waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature regular, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

She Does Pilates, Spinning, Elliptical, and Running Workouts

“I had an injury last fall and I was only able to do Pilates, which I absolutely love. But I was missing that kind of sweat when you just go for it,” she recently told InStyle. “I'm going back to my 15-15-15, which is a 15-minute spin, elliptical, run. And then just old school: I can chase myself around a gym. I need some kind of movement, even if it's just 10 minutes a day on a trampoline.”
