Sonya Deville in Workout Gear Says "Let's Go"

She captioned the post, “Different week, same grind. LFG.”

Sonya Deville is a wrestler with WWE. She first came into prominence on the reality series, WWE's Tough Enough. In March, she took her Instagram followers through her workout routine. Deville shared a video of herself doing squats with a weight, Bulgarian split squats, and jump squats. She captioned the post, "Different week, same grind. LFG." How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Sonya Deville stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

She Does Bodyweight Workouts

Deville talked about her life and career to Logo. She says that she likes to do bodyweight workouts to stay in shape. "I don't have any fancy home gym. I'm in the middle of trying to build one. I've been doing complete bodyweight workouts. I posted a few on my YouTube channel. If you have no equipment, there are so many good bodyweight exercises that can be done."

She Does Squats

As you can see in her Instagram post, Deville does a lot of different kinds of squats. According to Allina Health, squats have a lot of benefits. "The squat is one of the all-around best exercises to do for your lower body. It strengthens and tones muscles in your thighs, butt and calves and improves posture, balance, flexibility and inner core strength. Squatting also improves bone mineral density to keep your bones strong."

She Wants To Inspire Others

Deville opened up about her decision to come out on Tough Enough to Logo. She says that she hopes other people can be inspired by her story and her being authentic. "I didn't know if it would affect my chances on the show. I didn't know what it meant. It was my naïve mentality back then. I wasn't really okay with myself, so I don't know how I expected anyone else to be. I wasn't out yet, wasn't open yet. I was young, having my first relationship with a girl, and I still had my guard up. I wasn't comfortable in my own skin yet. It's crazy because it's now four years later and I've never been more comfortable in my own skin, and I'm happy to advocate and give that confidence to someone else like me."

Deville shared what is in her fridge with Women's Health. She revealed that she loves avocado and guacamole. Cedars Sinai reports that avocado has a lot of health benefits, including fiber. "High fiber diets have been lauded for lowering blood sugar, cutting cholesterol, and potentially preventing some kinds of cancer—like colon cancer. The recommended daily intake of fiber is 25 grams a day for women and 35 grams for men, with most of us falling short of those goals. Avocado packs about 1 gram per tablespoon, with around 10 grams in an entire fruit."

She Loves Turkey

Deville also told Women's Health that she keeps turkey in her fridge. Healthy West Orange states that turkey has a lot of benefits, including having a lot of protein. "Protein is an important component of every cell in the body. Your body needs large amounts of proteins to aid with things such as nail and hair growth, build and repair tissues, make enzymes, hormones, and other body chemicals, and is an important building block in bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, and blood."
