Banderas maintains that her mother has helped her find mental balance. "She's taught me the importance of creating a safe space for myself in order to find balance and feel grounded. I think it's through this authenticity that it becomes easier for creativity to be experienced," she told Vogue.

Banderas also maintains that her mother helped her connect to nature, which inspired her to create her own sustainable fragrances. "Seeing her relationship to scent and touch and making a beautiful space for herself, I found love in the same ritual of self-care," she told Vogue.

She Swims and Snorkles

Stella, who spent most of her childhood between California and Malaga, Spain, loves the ocean. You can find her swimming and snorkeling whenever she is near a body of water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

She Hikes

Stella also enjoys walking and hiking with her dogs. "We hike sometimes," she captioned a photo. "Hiking is one of the best ways to get exercise. No matter what type of trail you find yourself on, hiking is a great whole-body workout—from head to toe and everything in between," says the National Parks Service. Some of the physical benefits include building stronger muscles and bones, improving your sense of balance, improving your heart health, and decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems. It also offers many mental health benefits, according to a Stanford University study.

She Has a "Higher Power"

Stella also has a connection with a God of her own understanding. "My mother has always emphasized the importance of having a good, loving relationship with myself," she told Vogue. "One way of doing this was by encouraging me to have sort of an open dialogue with my higher self, or God, or the universe. She often says 'ask for wisdom.'"
