Stephanie Rice Shows Off Incredible Figure During "A Week in Heaven"

Here’s how she stays in shape.

Stephanie Rice on set covering the 2024 Olympics
Stephanie Rice/Instagfram

Stephanie Rice is a professional swimmer. She won three gold medals in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Rice has appeared on The Apprentice: Australia and SAS Australia: Who Dares Wins. She recently got married, and is currently on her honeymoon in the Maldives. Rice shared a set of photos on Instagram of herself in the pool. She captioned them, “A week in heaven 🏝️The last 3 months were so busy and intense, planning our wedding, finishing my masters degree, selling all of Mark’s furniture and booking our honeymoon…so to finally stop, relax and have no decisions to make is absolute bliss 🙌🏽”

She Swims

Swimming is obviously the main way that Rice keeps herself in shape. She shares a lot of posts on Instagram of herself training in the pool. Rice shared this video of herself diving in, captioning it, “Procrastinating studying for my accounting exam … so here’s a reel I decided to make instead 😂🫠” Rice also shared this diving photo on her page, captioning it, “These days I only get in the pool to film content for YouTube or if I’m sipping a spicy marg somewhere luxurious 🤣🍹”

She Lifts Weights

Rice likes to lift weights to keep herself in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself lifting weights. Rice captioned it, “After I came back from SAS and my shoulder was slightly better, I decided I wanted to fully commit to a weights program and see if I could transform my body. I’ve always done weights but more functional weights with lots of HIIT and long hikes. So I asked @m.acefitness to create a program for me and help train me a few times a week. At first I couldn’t even put the plates on the barbell because my shoulder was so weak after dislocating it 🤦🏽♀️ but now that it’s almost 100% better I’m really enjoying weights training and I’m learning a lot. I also think it’s amazing how your body responds to different types of training…you really can shape your body however you want to by doing different styles of training and I think that’s so cool.”

She Works Out On A Regular Basis

Rice makes sure to workout on a regular basis. She talked about it in the caption of this Instagram post. “Even though the past few weeks have been mega busy, my workouts stay consistent. They not only make me feel confident and empowered in my physical body, but the mental/emotional benefits are always worth the 1hr sacrifice. My mind is so much more focused after a workout, so I made sure to get one in before my final uni exams and assignment writing sessions. I know when things get busy it’s easy to sacrifice things like sleep, healthy setting and exercise…but for me, those things actually make me thrive, so I keep them a priority as best as I can!!”

She Has A Strong Mind

For Rice, mental health is just as important as physical health. She tells Coach Nine that her mental health helps with her wellness routine. “A lot of people tend to put a lot of pressure on themselves to do big radical changes. I'm all for that, as long as you've created the right mental foundation for it. A lot of people compare themselves to others — I would want to ensure that my friends are making the shift for a more positive and empowering reason.”

She Eats A Veagn DIet

Vegan,Lentil,Burgers,With,Kale,And,Tomato,Sauce,On,AShutterstock

Rice shared her diet in her Coach Nine interview. “I follow a predominantly vegan diet,” Rice revealed. “I don't enjoy following any strict eating routines, but I always am conscious to eat as much fresh fruits and vegetables if possible. If I am travelling and I don't have access to fresh produce, I try to supplement that with powders. In terms of a ‘cheat’ meal, I love any forms of chocolate, but I tend to lean towards healthy raw desserts.”

1. She Doesn’t Stress About Her Weight

During the COVID-19 pandemic, people were required to stay at home. Pippen admitted to Us Weekly that this led to her gaining weight. However, Pippen says that she didn’t stress about it anymore. “Lately I’m like, ‘Oh my God, who cares?’ I just have to live my best life,” she explained. “We’re baking, we’re working out together, we watch movies together. I feel like we’ve watched everything on TV. We’re gonna start making our own movies sooner or later.”

2. She Shows Off Her Body

One look at Pippen’s social media, and you’ll know that she loves to show off her body. However, Pippen doesn’t just do this for engagement. She told HollywoodLife that she likes to show off her body because it helps motivate her. “When you work hard, you want to see results and you want people to see what you’re doing and to motivate people to work out and feel good,” the mom of four says. “Just because you had a baby doesn’t mean you let yourself go.”

3. She Works Out Five Days A Week

Pippen makes sure that she exercises regularly, and tells HollywoodLife that she works out five days a week. “My workouts vary between 20 to 40 minutes [long],” she says. Pippen says that she works hard to commit to her fitness and her health. “For me fitness is a lifestyle,” she says. “I really love doing it. It helps your mind, your body, and the balance it gives you is really important in life… A lot of times we get lost and we start focusing on other people or other things that are not necessarily good for you and this is the one thing that you can do for yourself and make time for yourself.”

4. She Loves Doing Squats

Pippen tells HollywoodLife that her favorite workouts are leg workouts, and she loves having “super toned legs.” Pippen does have a favorite type of leg exercise. “I do squats everyday,” she says. “I do 40 squats a set.” Pippen says she loves squats because they are simple and don’t require equipment. “You don’t need weights for that. You’re just [using] your own body weight,” she says. “I’ve learned that you don’t need machines to get in shape.”

5. She And Her Family All Eat Healthy

Variety,Of,Three,Color,Green,Spinach,Kale,Apple,Yogurt,SmoothieShutterstock

Pippen says that she makes sure her kids and herself eat healthy each day. She went through some of her favorite healthy meals in a post on her blog. "I start my mornings with a green juice or protein shake to kick-start my metabolism. Between meals, I’ll munch on my kids’ snacks: fruit mixes, pretzels or gluten-free granola," she wrote. "Lunch is grilled ginger mahimahi over brown rice and a side of a mixed veggies. I let the kids decide on dinner by giving them healthy options," she added, concluding that: "Chocolate is one of my main — and many — weaknesses."

Sommer Ray is a fitness model, influencer, and expert. She shares a lot of her favorite workouts on Instagram. Recently, Ray hit the gym to do some stretching. She shared a reel of some of her favorite stretches on Instagram, and promoted it on her story. Ray is seen doing poses like downward facing dog, and is wearing gray workout pants. She captioned the reel, “Stretch with me.”

She Does Lunges

Ray shared some of her favorite at-home workouts in this YouTube video. The first thing she is seen doing is jump lunges. According to ACE Fitness, lunges of all kinds have a lot of health benefits. “They’re a form of unilateral training, which means you’re working only one limb or side of the body at a time. And unilateral training is a more effective way to build functional strength (than using both legs) because these types of movement mimic other everyday motions, like walking and climbing stairs — and not just to the working leg. Research suggests the strength gains to the nonworking side are about half of the strength gains of the working side.”

She Does Squats

Sommer Ray is pictured doing squats.

Sommer Ray/YouTube

Ray is also seen doing squats and squat jumps in her YouTube video. These have a lot of health benefits. The Cleveland Clinic states, “Proper squatting form requires you to reaaaaally engage your core — the muscles of your stomach, pelvis, hips and lower back. These large muscle groups support every move you make, both large and small, so keeping them strong helps keep you well.”

She Does Push-Ups

Sommer Ray does a push-up.

Another exercise Ray is seen doing in her YouTube video is push-ups. According to NASM, these are very effective. “Incredibly, this ONE exercise can help you torch calories, build and tone muscle, gain strength, and positively impact your overall fitness, function, and performance. Due to its versatility, mastering this exercise can be vital to unlocking your true fitness potential.”

She Does Jumping Jacks

Sommer Ray does jumping jacks.

Ray is also seen doing jumping jacks in her YouTube video. Gymless states that this exercise has a lot of health benefits. “Jumping jacks is an effective total-body workout that can be practiced nearly everywhere. It works on your heart, lungs, and muscles simultaneously. The primary muscles worked are the glutes, hip flexors, and quadriceps. The secondary muscles worked are the abs, calves, hamstrings, and shoulders (anterior deltoids and posterior deltoids).”

She Does Yoga

Sommer Ray is seen stretching during yoga.

In her Instagram reel, Ray is seen doing yoga poses. According to Harvard Health, yoga has a lot of benefits. “Yoga is known for its ability to soothe tension and anxiety in the mind and body. But it can also have an impact on a person's exercise capacity. Researchers studied a small group of sedentary individuals who had not practiced yoga before. After eight weeks of practicing yoga at least twice a week for a total of 180 minutes, participants had greater muscle strength and endurance, flexibility, and cardio-respiratory fitness.”

It’s almost impossible to fathom that Jane Fonda is nearing 90. The actress and fitness legend turned 87 in December but somehow looks a fraction of her age. How has she managed to slow down the aging process? According to her, it all has to do with a few simple dietary rules that she follows. Here is what you need to know about her longevity diet.

Her Secret? A Balanced Diet

Jane Fonda is seen in New York City at the Marie Curie Legacy Gala at The Rainbow Room

Fonda’s main secret? It’s all about moderation. "Most diets focus on weight loss on the scale, and they impose temporary and often unhealthy restrictive behavior," she said in a 2012 video for BeFiT. "Unfortunately, this scenario sets us up to fail." She cited research stating that 80% of dieters “will regain all or most of the weight that they lost within two years.” You won’t find her on a diet. “Fad diets are the ones promising unrealistic results. You should not try to lose more than two to three pounds per week, max," she said.

She Eats Breakfast

"Every morning, commit to starting the day with a nutritious breakfast. People who do so tend to lose weight," she said in the video. "Breakfast, by the way, is the most important meal of the day, and making a good choice there will set you up for success for the rest of the day."

She Cheats, in Moderation

Fonda also indulges on occasion. "You don't want to feel deprived," she points out in the video. "You can't sustain that over the long haul. So, if you have a piece of chocolate, it's OK—just don't eat the whole box, or maybe take a longer walk tomorrow."

"I eat a fairly healthy diet. I'm not rigid," she dished to Vogue. "I have cut way back on red meat. I've cut back on fish because fish supplies are dwindling. I eat vegetables. I eat salads. I eat fresh food. I'm just careful about what I eat. I don't eat a lot of sugar, except lately I have."

When She Eats More, She Exercises More

When Fonda indulges in "unhealthy" food, she exercises more. "I was in Italy for two and a half months making the sequel to Book Club, and ate gelato and pasta every single day while I was there," she told Vogue. "But I never gained weight. I would get up at six in the morning before the heat hit and walk for an hour, hour and a half, two hours on days when the work permitted me to do that. I walk a lot, and that helps me."

Do you want an ab-fab body like Halle Berry at 58? The star has shared some of the “essential core workouts” she does with her trainer, Peter Lee Thomas. In a post, she revealed that the ab moves are “the kinds of exercises I do to accelerate muscular ab growth,” she wrote. “ What I’ve learned throughout my training this past year is that a strong core supports EVERY other part of your body, and if you’re performing exercises correctly, you’re always engaging your core - now that’s a win / win! Enjoy.”

Bear Crawl Bench Up And Downs

The first ab exercise she does is bear crawl bench up and downs. Here’s how to do it: Get down on your hands and knees, facing a couch or bench. Make sure your hands are directly under your shoulders with your knees off the floor, putting weight on your toes. Slowly lift your left hand without twisting your hips, placing it on the bench. Then do the same with your right. Return to your starting position, one hand at a time.

Lateral Hop With Bench

The next exercise is a lateral hop with a bench. Here’s how to do it: Place your hands on a bench and stand with your legs together on one side. Jump over the bench and then jump back.

Her third ab exercise is a reverse bear crawl bench up and downs. Here’s how to do it: On your hands and knees face away from a couch or bench. Keep your hands under your shoulder with your knees off the floor. Keep weight in your toes. With straight arms lift your right foot onto the bench. Next, do your left.

The fifth exercise is a hanging leg lift. Here’s how to do it: Start by dangling from a pullup bar. Lift your legs until they are parallel to the floor. Lower into the starting position.

The final exercise? Hanging windshield wipers. Again, start by hanging from a pullup bar with your legs dangling. Lift your butt and legs into the air using your core. Once your back is parallel with the floor swing your legs up to the left side of your body. Using your obliques, swing them to the other side.

Rachel Bush is breaking the internet in her swimsuit. In a new social media post, the model flaunts her fantastic figure in a little black bikini, driving her followers wild. “so pretty rach! that SoFlo glo,” commented one of her followers. “🔥🔥HOT,” added another. “Goddess of beauty and perfection👏👏👏,” a third chimed in. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Avoids Negativity

Rachel tries to avoid negativity by not paying attention and “not attacking those who attack me because they have their own issues,” she wrote in a post. “I’m me, I’m blessed, I’m happy and I’m going to get back on track! No more reading into the negative comments and hate for me 🙅🏽♀️ just pure positivity from here on out! Because people are either going to hate or love you! I have nothing to prove nor do I no longer want to have to prove anything for those who haven’t got to meet me and get to know me in real life. I don’t have the energy for the hate anymore.”

Horseback Riding

Rachel likes to get outside and reap the health benefits of horseback riding. The American Heart Association explains that riding horses is excellent for your health. It boosts cardiovascular health, builds core strength, burns calories, and lowers blood pressure. It is also great for your mental health as it helps relax you.

Skiing and Snowboarding

Rachel loves winter sports. “Do you ski or snowboard? I started skiing as a kid, got bored so I learned how to board,” she captioned a photo while on a snowboarding trip to Aspen. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, and diabetes, the frequency of mental stress and the occurrence of memory deficits declines.
