Superman: Legacy Star María Gabriela de Faría Shares Swimsuit Photo From Miami

Here are her lifestyle habits.

María Gabriela de Faría is heating up Miami in her swimsuit. In a recent social media post, the star of the upcoming movie, Superman: Legacy, shows off her superhero body in a bathing suit posing in the arms of her boyfriend, Christian McGaffney, while in a bathing suit. "I'm not in love but I'm almost there," she captioned the series of snaps. How does the Venezuelan actress stay in fabulous physical form? Celebwell rounded up her top health habits.

She Is Vegan

María is a devoted vegan, claiming that her meat-free journey started when she adopted her cat. "It might sound crazy but that's how it all started," she told Modern Wellness Guide. Whenever she ate meat she would think about her cat and feel badly. "I started thinking how crazy it was for me to love and care for my cat and at the same time pay for somebody to kill, cut, and package another animal who feels the same amount of pain, joy, happiness, and desires as my cat," she said. "It's a statement about peace, love, and kindness to every single being on the planet."

She Hikes

María enjoys hiking – "one of the best ways to get exercise," according to the National Parks Service. Some of the physical benefits include building stronger muscles and bones, improving your sense of balance, improving your heart health, and decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems. It also offers many mental health benefits, according to a Stanford University study.

She Brings Healthy Snacks with Her

María makes sure to bring healthy, vegan snacks with her. "When I went fully vegan, I educated myself in terms of what to eat at different times and for different situations. Now I know that success comes with being prepared, so I don't leave my place without nuts or fruit. It's just that easy," she told Modern Wellness Guide.

She Works Out "Like Crazy"

María claims that her vegan diet fuels her workouts. "It made me faster and stronger than ever and gave me all the energy I needed to wake up at 4 a.m., work out, and then go on a 16-hour work day," she said. Upon announcing that she was cast in Superman: Legacy, she said to her fans: "Now you know why I've been working out like a crazy person." Her routine consists of a lot of weight and strength training exercises, using hand weights and body weight.

She Cooks

María supports her vegan lifestyle by cooking her own meals. "It takes no time to cook some rice and roast some veggies," she says. "Just eat what comes from the earth, like rice, quinoa, all types of beans, all kinds of veggies, all fruits, all the nuts," she added, revealing that she also stays away from processed foods. "Make sure your food is full of color and life."
