In a new video shared by both of the stars, they break a sweat during an intense strength and weight training session. “Working out with the destroyer,” she captioned the clip. How does the Superman star maintain her fit physique? Here is everything you need to know about her diet and exercise routine.


1. Vegan Diet

María consumes zero animal products. Her veganism was inspired by her cat. “It might sound crazy but that’s how it all started,” she told Modern Wellness Guide. “I started thinking how crazy it was for me to love and care for my cat and at the same time pay for somebody to kill, cut, and package another animal who feels the same amount of pain, joy, happiness, and desires as my cat,” she said. “It’s a statement about peace, love, and kindness to every single being on the planet.” María’s vegan diet fuels her workouts. “It made me faster and stronger than ever and gave me all the energy I needed to wake up at 4 a.m., work out, and then go on a 16-hour work day,” she said.

2. Regular Hikes

You can often find María hiking, “one of the best ways to get exercise,” the National Parks Service says, Some of the physical benefits include building stronger muscles and bones, improving your sense of balance, improving your heart health, and decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems. It also offers many mental health benefits, according to a Stanford University study.

She talked about why on her website. “For me, sharing my path through veganism on social networks has made many people who follow me say 'I tried it, and I loved it, and I became vegan,'” she says. “So that's impressive to me. Sharing my experience and the positive things that happen to me have a positive influence on people.”

As you can see in this Instagram post, de Faría likes to bike ride. A Healthier Michigan states that biking has a lot of benefits. “Cycling is considered a low-impact exercise because even though it’s a form of cardio and can help you work up a sweat pretty fast, it is done with easy movements that are gentle on your legs, arms and joins.”

4. She Swims

de Faría loves to swim. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself and her husband swimming in Miami Beach. The Cleveland Clinic states that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Swimming isn’t just good exercise, it’s great exercise. That’s thanks to the water itself, which offers buoyancy and resistance that makes it easier on your whole body than other forms of exercise.”

5. She Works Out With Others

As you can tell from the Instagram post, de Faría likes to workout with others. This has a lot of benefits. Better Health states that group workouts have a lot of benefits. “When you exercise with a friend who’s around the same fitness level as you, you’re more likely to encourage each other and to push a little harder (to increase intensity, for example) than you might do on your own. Dupri tells WrestleZone that she is working with trainers to help her stay in shape. “I think for me right now, I’m being trained by two incredible amateur wrestlers. I’m going to use all of those tools to the best of my ability and I think as we continue my training I think we’ll learn some more submissions, some more suplexes and just become more and more dangerous every time I enter the ring.”

4. She Works Her Lower Body

Dupri doesn’t skip leg day. She shared some of her favorite lower body workouts in this Instagram video. Having strong legs is important, according to Piedmont. “Having strong glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings and calf muscles gives your body a strong foundation and can: Tone your lower body muscles. Boost your metabolism as you increase muscle mass. Give you a higher calorie burn as you train larger muscle groups. Improve your balance. Strengthen your bones. Reduce joint pain.”

ACE Fitness states that this has a lot of benefits. “Using maximal loads for compound (multi-joint) movements like the deadlift, squat-to-shoulder press, bent-over row or chest press can improve intermuscular coordination, which is the ability of many muscles to work together to generate and control high levels of force through multiple joints.”

Stallone has a famous family. And she likes to workout with them. In 2020, not long after her 18th birthday, she was spotted working out with her dad and two older sisters. They were seen working out with weighted bags. Working out with others can help you stay motivated, and having loved ones there just adds extra motivation. Family members can also help remind you to workout, and it makes it harder to cancel on them.

2. She Works Hard

Stallone and her sister, Sophia, work with trainer, Kevin Mejia, to keep themselves in shape. Mejia shared what it is like working with the duo in a 2020 interview with HollywoodLife. He says that the Stallones have a good work ethic. “Our sessions are filled with jokes and a good time, coupled with the great intensity, and they bring it every time we workout,” he says. “They conquer some of the toughest exercises in the gym with ease…I always remind my clients, as long as you bring intensity you’ll conquer your goal in the gym and that guides my work with them.”

3. She Does Activation Work

Mejia shared some of the exercises he likes to do with Stallone and her sister in a session. He says that to warm them up, he will have them do workouts that activate their muscles. “For a standard workout, we’ll start out with some type of activation exercises,” he says. “Such as bridges or monster walks, because a great workout always starts with a great warm up.”

4. She Does Single Side Exercises

Mejia tells HollywoodLife that he likes to do one-sided exercises with Stallone. “After activation work, we’ll go into single sided work like, ankle weighted rainbow kicks,” Mejia said, explaining, “This allows for a mind muscle connection, which a lot of people lack in the gym — but it later helps people contract or squeeze the right muscles.”

5. She Builds Muscle

Mejia likes to do muscle-building exercises with Stallone. He shared some of his favorites to HollywoodLife. “It’s a set or two of wide stance squats and chest presses into flies,” he explained, calling it “straight core work.” Mejia also explains why he likes these workouts. “Exercises like hanging knee raises are one of my favorite exercises to give them — and to most of my clients, because it lengthens the body and targets the lower abs along with improving grip strength.”

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:
