Superman's María Gabriela de Faría in Two-Piece Workout Gear Poses With "Gorgeous Ladies of DC"
María Gabriela de Faría is best known for her role as The Engineer in the DC Universe. She recently met up with some other DC Universe stars for a workout. They took some group photos for Instagram. Jennfier Holland captioned the post, "When the gorgeous ladies of @dcofficial #Superman invite you to workout with them and our personal trainer @paolomascitti at 6:45am, you DO NOT hesitate." How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways María Gabriela de Faría stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.
She's Sustainable
de Faría opened up about her love of sustainability on her website. "I have long wanted to start this blog," said de Faría. "I've always wanted to use my voice, more than just in brief Instagram posts, to influence as many people as I can toward more sustainable choices in life. 2020 gave me the perfect opportunity to really take the time to assess my own life and my own lifestyle and make some lasting changes. I want to share the things I've discovered and my own personal successes (and failures!). Change is not easy, but it doesn't have to be overwhelming."
She's Vegan
de Faría is a vegan. She talked about why on her website. "For me, sharing my path through veganism on social networks has made many people who follow me say 'I tried it, and I loved it, and I became vegan,'" she says. "So that's impressive to me. Sharing my experience and the positive things that happen to me have a positive influence on people."
She Bikes
As you can see in this Instagram post, de Faría likes to bike ride. A Healthier Michigan states that biking has a lot of benefits. "Cycling is considered a low-impact exercise because even though it's a form of cardio and can help you work up a sweat pretty fast, it is done with easy movements that are gentle on your legs, arms and joins."
She Swims
de Faría loves to swim. She shared this set of photos on Instagram of herself and her husband swimming in Miami Beach. The Cleveland Clinic states that swimming has a lot of benefits. "Swimming isn't just good exercise, it's great exercise. That's thanks to the water itself, which offers buoyancy and resistance that makes it easier on your whole body than other forms of exercise."
She Works Out With Others
As you can tell from the Instagram post, de Faría likes to workout with others. This has a lot of benefits. Better Health states that group workouts have a lot of benefits. "When you exercise with a friend who's around the same fitness level as you, you're more likely to encourage each other and to push a little harder (to increase intensity, for example) than you might do on your own. A friend can bring out your competitive side and spur you on. When you're ready to give up, the sight of your friend powering on might be just the incentive you need to keep going."
