Tess Daly is a very successful TV host. She’s best known for being one of the hosts of Strictly Come Dancing since 2004. Daly also hosted Children In Need from 2008 to 2019. She’s been enjoying the summer weather, and a recent Instagram post proves it. In it, Daly is seen outside going for a walk. She captioned the post, “Sunny afternoons means outdoor lunchtime workouts ☀️✨(and big sunglasses, always).” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Tess Daly stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Works With A Trainer

Daly works with personal trainer, Sam Shaw, to keep herself in shape. ACE Fitness reports that having a personal trainer can help someone do the proper exercise routine. “When it comes to fitness, everyone is different. Your unique body mechanics, experience, goals, fitness level, likes and dislikes can guide your trainer in creating a plan that is specific to your needs. With a program that fits, you are more likely to maintain the habit and see results.”

2. She Eats A Protein Option Each Meal

Shaw also opened up about Daly’s diet in his Women’s Health interview. He says that Daly has one source of protein with each of her meals. “We focus on a slightly higher protein-based diet,” Shaw explains. “Aiming to have some form of protein with each meal, whether that’s a veggie, vegan, fish or white meat option.”

3. She Works The Surrounding Muscles Around Her Back

Shaw shared some of Daly’s workout secrets in an interview with Women’s Health. He says that he makes sure to strengthen the areas surrounding Daly’s weaker lower back. “We work together to focus on keeping Tess’s core, back and glutes as strong as possible since she has a slightly weak lower back, so it’s really important to keep all the surrounding muscles intact as support.”

4. She’s Dedicated

Daly is dedicated to her fitness. Shaw talked about her attitude in an interview with Hello! Magazine. “Tess has built amazing habits with regard to her fitness and nutrition,” he said. “Training has become part of her life now, she always turns up for her sessions on time and ready for whatever I’m going to challenge her with. She’s great at taking on a challenge. When I introduce something new to vary the session - Tess always gives it her all and embraces the task, which isn’t always easy!"

5. She Does A Variety Of Workouts

Shaw tells Women’s Health that he has Daly do a variety of workouts. “I like to change up exercises, for example, doing body weight movements, dumbbell weights and variations of skipping or boxing. This keeps it fun and interesting and helps the time fly by, at the same time as getting good progression in training (a.k.a. progressive overload) and building a strong physique.”

Kerly Ruiz is training her legs – in her two-piece workout gear. In a new social media post the fitness personality shows off her amazingly fit figure during an exercise session. “Workout of the day!! Here I leave you today's exercise for quadriceps!!” she captioned the Instagram post. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Here's What She Eats in a Day

Kerly shared a sample day of eating, starting with breakfast: 3 egg whites and 1 whole egg

30g of oats or 1/2 potatoes. Next up, a snack, a protein shake and 2 small Colombian potatoes. Then, for lunch she has 140g chicken with 100g rice and a green salad. For a snack she has 90g shrimp and zucchini vegetable pasta. And finally, for dinner she has 110g of fish with 1 egg and green salad.

Intermittent Fasting

In order to “lose weight, burn fat and get super fit” Kerly intermittent fasts, which she calls her eating method. Intermittent fasting works by “prolonging the period when your body has burned through the calories consumed during your last meal and begins burning fat,” explains Johns Hopkins Medicine.

Low Carb Diet

Kerly is on a low carb diet, she told El Estimulo, revealing she only eats “light” sandwiches. “I try not to eat a lot of bread because it makes my belly bigger, but when I can, I use whole wheat bread. I try to combine it with protein, which is very important to maintain muscle. I like to put some dressings that give flavor to the sandwich so that the diet is pleasant and I don't get bored,” she says. “Olives, avocado, olive oil, alfalfa, whole wheat toast, a grilled chicken breast and a little mustard, because it's the only dressing that doesn't have calories. No mayonnaise, no tomato sauce.”

She Counts Calories

“My diet only allows me a low-calorie sandwich, between 150 and 180 calories, which could be eaten mid-morning - I eat 6 times a day - because you can't eat carbohydrates at night. I try to find the right flavors, since I live on a diet. I put a little bit of what I have at home, avocado, which even though it has fat, it's the good kind, tomato too, so to speak, you can't overdo it either, and olive oil, which is a good fat for the body, skin, hair and nails,” she added.

No Mayo

One ingredient that she would never put in a sandwich? “Mayonnaise because I think that first of all it's greasy for the skin, it gives you acne and secondly it goes to your belly, your rolls. I don't like mayonnaise at all,” she said.

Danni Menzies is showing off her fit figure – in a sports bra and leggings. In a new social media post the A Place in the Sun presenter shows off her washboard abs during an intense workout circuit. “Last session in Glasgow with @chantelwilkie_fit ready to get down the road and take on London,” she captioned the post. How does the 34-year-old stay fit? Celebwell has the details on her latest workout and the other health habits responsible for her amazing figure.

1. She Goes Running

Danni told Runner’s World UK that she has been running since she was 8. “Running is an escape from London life. I live in Fulham and run 10km in a loop from Putney to Hammersmith along the Thames. I usually run two to three times a week but if I’m busy with work I’ll do that route once a week and then 5-8km on the other days,” she said. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.

2. She Eats Healthy During the Week

On weekdays, Danni keeps her diet ultra healthy. “Before every run I have green juice and a coffee, and then an omelette with avocado when I get back,” she told Runner’s World. “On the weekends, she cheats! “I’m a health freak Monday to Friday but I love a Domino’s Pizza on a Sunday.”

3. She Uses Fitness Apps

Girl,Uses,Fitness,AppShuttestock

Danni is a fan of fitness apps. “I use Nike Running Club's running app. If I see that friends I follow have gone out and ran 7km, I’ll go and do 9km. It’s a great motivator and I like the training programmes you can get on them,” she told Runner’s World.

4. She Does Reformer Pilates

“I do reformer pilates,” Danni told Daily Star UK. “I’m a bit of a fitness freak from Monday to Friday and then I party at the weekend.“I’m good at keeping on it Monday to Friday. I’m pretty health conscious.” Should you do Pilates? The Mayo Clinic confirms that there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health. It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

5. She Also Does Yoga

“I try to do a lot of Yoga as well. I find it helps space doing exercise,” Danni added to Daily Star UK. “It makes you feel good as well as put your head in the right place too.” There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. “Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood,” they said. “People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”

6. Here Is Her New Workout Routine

Strength training is also part of her routine. Here are the exercises she does in her latest video:

  1. Sumo deadlifts
  2. Barbell rows
  3. Front raises with a plate
  4. Chest press on the ground
  5. Gorilla kettlebell rows
  6. Skierg cardio
  7. Burpees
  8. Shoulder taps

Daly posted a new photo of herself enjoying a snack by the pool. She wore white shorts, a red tank top, and a hat, looking gorgeous. “Making the most of our last days with an afternoon at @AzureBeachDubai which means sushi and catching up on a good book!” she captioned it. “We’ll miss the sunshine but excited to see @vernonkay”—that’s her TV presenter husband— “and the girls.” Read on to see 6 ways Tess Daly stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Loves Fruit

In her most recent Instagram photo, Daly is seen enjoying a plate of different fruits for a snack. The plate included watermelon, purple grapes, mango, and raspberries. “A watermelon is between 90% and 95% water so it's a sweet way to stay hydrated in summer's heat. They're such a great source of essential hydration that early explorers carried them instead of canteens. It's no wonder it's one of the best water-rich, hydrating foods,” says our sister site Eat This, Not That!

2. She Pushes Herself and Cuts Herself Some Slack

Daly tells Women’s Health that she is a very confident person, and that she developed said confidence from both pushing herself, and going easy on herself. “Confidence comes from cutting yourself some slack. I’m in my fifties now. That’s still a shock when I say it out loud, because I don’t feel any different to when I was in my thirties. But I don’t fixate on age as a limitation, because it’s never held me back...confidence, to me, is just pushing yourself a little bit further than you think you can go, and you’ll always surprise yourself.”

3. She Works With A Personal Trainer

Daly tells Women’s Health that she works with personal trainer, Sam Shaw, to keep herself in shape. Even when the pandemic hit, Daly says her and Shaw would still meet up virtually to workout. Daly says that Shaw is great at targeting the areas on her body that need work, saying, “He’s brilliant because he focuses on what you need individually. I've got a long spine, so I’ve got to work on my core.”

4. She Runs On The Treadmill

Daly tells Women’s Health that she has a treadmill at home, and that she likes to use it while she watches her favorite shows. “I've realized I can watch Netflix and run 5k at the same time,” she says. “I would never sit down and watch TV in the day but, on the treadmill, I can justify it.”

5. She Uses Weights

Daly is a fan of strength training, and using weights to workout. She posted this video of herself on Instagram doing chest flys with weights. She captioned it, “Trying to fly without (bingo) wings!”

6. She Practices Meditation

Daly tells Women’s Health that she makes sure to prioritize her mental health, and practicing meditation has really helped her out.“I met Deepak Chopra and went to one of his retreats, which was great fun because he's all about mindfulness, being in the moment and self-care,” she said. “In these busy hectic lives that we all lead, I think it's great, if you can, to take out 20 minutes at the start of the day just for yourself to meditate and sit quietly, because the day definitely flows better afterwards.”

Rachael Finch is sharing a “mix + match” lunch idea – in her workout clothes. In a new social media post the health and wellness influencer shows off her washboard abs in a crop top and leggings, while cooking up a healthy meal. In the post she reveals her strategy, which involves “loading with veg first,” adding “enough” quality protein, fats, and carbohydrates “that digest well in my body,” using leftovers, and how she can create the meal in 5 to 10 minutes. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. Daily Exercise

Rachael exercises daily. “I move my body every day! But every day is entirely different, there are no two weeks the same. On average throughout the week I will break up my fitness with cardiovascular training, strength training, flexibility and balance work, and yoga sessions,” she told Marie Claire.

2. Mixing Up Workouts

Rachael does lots of different workouts. “My favorite types of exercise are anything from yoga to stretch sessions, dance workouts, HIIT sessions, walks in the parks, interval training. My least favorite is anything that lasts longer than 45 minutes, or is too intense.”

3. Yoga and Pilates

One of her go-tos? “I love my BodyTone workout from my program—the yoga-inspired sessions have the greatest impact. It’s a slower paced session and great for calming the mind first thing in the morning. This workout combines yoga and Pilates and works on flexibility, balance and total body strength,” she says.

4. Training and “Lazy” Days

Rachael also takes rest days. “I don’t count the number of days I am training, and I don’t count the days I rest. I purely go on how I feel and that may mean I have four lazy days out of a week, or may mean I have one lazy day, I may even train every day. It all depends on how my body and mind feel,” she says.

5. Collagen Coffee

Rachael is a coffee drinker, but she infuses it with collagen. “There is not a day that goes by that I don’t have my collagen coffee! I mix one scoop of Kissed Earth Brilliance Collagen, one scoop of medicinal mushrooms, 1 teaspoon of Maca powder, plus almond milk and black coffee. I blend it all in a blender and drink it with a big smile on my face.”

How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

She Doesn't Go Under the Knife

Sophie claims she hasn’t gone under the knife. “It’s your own body, you can do what you want to,” she told Grazia, weighing in on the show’s reputation for girls getting work done. “I wouldn’t have surgery myself; I don’t want it. I’ve got such a low pain tolerance as well; I’d be squirming around.”

She Gets Her Steps In

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Sophie loves paddle boarding. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) agrees that paddle boarding is great for the core and cardio. Water sports can burn an average of 385 calories for a 140-pound male and 436 calories for a female of the same size, per a study conducted by Arizona State University.

She Skis

When Sophie hits the mountains, she throws on a pair of skis. “Ski club,” she captioned a photo. Research has linked downhill skiing to several health benefits. In addition to promoting physical fitness, it may decrease the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Studies have also found that the more frequently a person skis, the prevalence of known hypercholesterolemia, systemic hypertension, diabetes, the frequency of mental stress, and the occurrence of memory deficits decline.

She Loves Group Fitness

“You’ve got to be body confident,” Sophie told Grazia. One of her favorite sweat methods? Group fitness. “A few gym classes can’t hurt,” she said.

She Goes Snorkeling

On her recent Maldives vacation, Sophie and Josh snorkeled in the crystal clear water. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Tammy Hembrow is a fitness influencer and expert. She has her own app, called Tammy Fit. Hembrow has a lot of challenges on her app. Recently, she advertised a challenge with a workout video on Instagram. Hembrow captioned the post, “We are 3 days into our first @tammyfitapp challenge of the year & I am more motivated than everrrrr. (Sign ups are still open if you haven’t joined yet - there’s still time to catch up!! - link in bio). Soooo happy seeing so many of my girlies (and guys) in this challenge doing it with me!! And I CANNOT wait to see everyone’s results at the end of the 8 weeks. We got thissss 💪🏼”

She Does Pulldowns

Hembrow is seen doing pulldowns in her Instagram video. Piedmont reports that pulldowns have a lot of benefits. “The lat pulldown is a fantastic exercise for strengthening the latissimus dorsi muscle, the broadest muscle in your back. This muscle promotes good posture and spinal stability. Form is crucial when performing a lat pulldown to prevent injury and reap the best results.”

She Lifts Weights

Tammy Hebrew is seen using dumbbells.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen doing a lot of exercises with weights in her Instagram video. ACE Fitness states that using weights to workout has a lot of benefits. “Strength training with heavy weights improves muscle definition. Muscle definition occurs as the result of muscles remaining in a state of semi-contraction and heavy strength training recruits the larger type II muscle fibers responsible for a muscle’s appearance.”

She Tracks Her Meals

Hembrow likes to track her meals on her app. She talked about the benefits of this in the caption of this “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. “Make sure to take advantage of the calorie/macro tracking features in the @tammyfitapp during this challenge guys. It can be really helpful in reaching specific goals quicker. And it also can help educate you on your food choices when it comes to nutrition, ratios, hidden calories, overeating or under eating etc. honestly I’d recommend any beginner try it out just to get a good feel for how you’re fuelling your body!! I feel like when people think of ‘meal tracking’ it can be seen as something that seems restrictive or something only bodybuilders do. When in reality it can be such a helpful tool and you can learn things that will actually encourage long term habits 🫶🏼🫶🏼”

She Loves Bananas

Tammy Hebrew has a banana snack.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying bananas in her “What I Eat In A Day” Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that bananas have a lot of benefits. “A single medium-sized banana offers about 32 mg of the mineral magnesium, which fulfills around 8% to 10% of your daily magnesium requirement. Magnesium is involved in many processes in your body, including: Blood pressure. Blood sugar levels. Building proteins. Maintaining bone. Muscle function. Nerve function.”

She Loves Cottage Cheese

Tammy Hebrew's snack the contains banana and cottage cheese.

Tammy Hebrew/Instagram

Hembrow is seen enjoying her bananas with cottage cheese in the previous Instagram video. Cottage cheese is very healthy. UCLA Health reports, “Cottage cheese’s protein content and low calories make it an ideal food for weight management. Research shows that whether you are trying to lose weight or reduce your risk of overweight or obesity, eating a high-protein diet can help you feel full and satisfied for longer.”

It’s hard to believe that Jennifer Aniston is 55 and turning 56 in February! Since soaring to fame in 1994, the Friends star has hardly aged in the three decades that have passed – and she has never been secretive about her devotion to health and wellness. Her hard work over the years has paid off through her strong and lean body and ageless looks. Here is everything you need to know about Jennifer Aniston’s approach to longevity.

She Maintains a High Protein Diet

"My nutrition is very much the same. It's usually a lot of high protein, vegetables, salads, soups,” she tells People. “I do 80/20. I give myself days where I can have whatever I want. I don’t deprive myself,” she added to TODAY. Why should you consider amping up your protein intake? According to clinical trials, consuming more protein than the recommended dietary allowance not only reduces body weight (BW) but also enhances body composition by decreasing fat mass while preserving fat-free mass (FFM) in both low-calorie and standard-calorie diets.

She Cheats on Occasion

Jennifer allows herself to indulge in “everything I would possibly want on a weekend,” she told People. Her cheat meal “depends,” she says. “I mean, dare I sound repetitive, but Mexican food is a real favorite of mine. It's not even that much of a cheat, to be honest. Or a cheeseburger or pizza or pasta — all that stuff.”

She Tries to Get Enough Sleep

“My bigger challenge is sleep. I think that’s all part of our nutritional hygiene — the amount of water we get as well as the amount of sleep we get. It’s the combination of all of those things that make your workouts the most effective," she told TODAY.

She Exercises in the Morning

“I’ve become gentler with myself,” she says of her approach to fitness, which has “definitely evolved” over the years. “I find that I can be gentler on my body and still get the benefits of a great workout,” she told Prevention. She specifically loves P.Volve workouts, a functional fitness that helps you “function throughout the day” and “work out your essential muscle groups to keep your body strong,” she says. “So you can live a long, healthy, strong life.”

She Hydrates

Aniston prioritizes hydration, drinking a whopping 100 ounces of water per day. "But occasionally I just have to have a Diet Coke—there's nothing like it!" According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is essential for various reasons. Water helps eliminate waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature regular, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

She Does Pilates, Spinning, Elliptical, and Running Workouts

“I had an injury last fall and I was only able to do Pilates, which I absolutely love. But I was missing that kind of sweat when you just go for it,” she recently told InStyle. “I'm going back to my 15-15-15, which is a 15-minute spin, elliptical, run. And then just old school: I can chase myself around a gym. I need some kind of movement, even if it's just 10 minutes a day on a trampoline.”
