Mykenna Dorn first captured our attention as a contestant on Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor, and since then, she’s continued to build a strong presence on social media. Recently, Dorn celebrated a special milestone—her third anniversary with her boyfriend. She marked the occasion by sharing a series of sweet photos on Instagram, where the couple is seen enjoying a swim together. Dorn captioned the post, “Third summer with you,” giving her followers a glimpse into her life beyond reality TV. While she’s known for her fun personality and fashion sense, Dorn also maintains a healthy and active lifestyle. Here’s a look at how she stays fit and nourished, from swimming and hiking to cooking delicious meals and even catching waves on her surfboard.
1. She Swims
As you can see from her Instagram post, Dorn likes to swim to stay in shape. She is seen in the water in this set of Instagram photos from Jones Lake. Dorn captioned the post, “Summer camping is here!” The Cleveland Clinic states that swimming has a lot of benefits. “The built-in resistance that water provides helps build muscles and makes you stronger. And because water is more resistant than air, swimming does this faster than land workouts like running and biking.”
2. She Hikes
Dorn spends a lot of time outside. She enjoys going hiking to stay in shape. In the previous Instagram post, Dorn is seen hiking with her friends. She also shared this set of photos of herself in Cape Breton, which include hiking photos. Dorn captioned the post, “24 hours in Cape Breton!” She also shared these hiking photos and a video from Cape Spear. Dorn captioned that post, “Easternmost point in Canada & North America.”
3. She Cooks
Dorn enjoys cooking her own meals. She shared some of her favorite recipes on Instagram. In this video, Dorn is seen making chicken noodle soup. She captioned the post, “My mom’s chicken noodle soup !! Recipe linked in bio on my blog! Perfect for fall & cold weather! 🩷” Harvard Health states that cooking your own meals has a lot of benefits. “The more people cook at home, the healthier their diet, the fewer calories they consume, and the less likely they are to be obese or develop type 2 diabetes. A growing body of scientific evidence supports teaching patients how to cook meals at home as an effective medical intervention for improving diet quality, weight loss, and diabetes prevention.”
4. She Loves Cucumbers

Dorn loves cucumbers. In this Instagram video, she is seen making a cucumber salad. The Cleveland Clinic reports that cucumbers have a lot of benefits. “Cucumbers belong to the gourd or Cucurbitaceae family, along with pumpkins, squash and melons. This low-calorie fruit (yes, a fruit — it has seeds and grows from a flowering plant!) is chock-full of water and other nutrients, including fiber, vitamins A, K and C, potassium and calcium. One serving equals about 100 grams, or one-third of a medium-size cucumber.”
5. She Surfs
Swimming isn’t the only water activity Dorn does to stay in shape. She also loves to surf. Dorn is seen riding the waves in the first photo of this Instagram post. Surfing England reports that the sport has a lot of benefits. “Firstly, learning to surf is a great way to improve your cardiovascular health. Pushing your way out through the waves, and then paddling with an explosion of power to catch them, and then repeating this over and over requires a lot of energy, endurance, and persistence. Regular surfing can help to strengthen your heart and lungs, leading to improved overall fitness.”
