Joey King is taking the (cold) plunge in her swimsuit. In a recent social media post, The Kissing Booth star shows off her incredibly fit figure in a bathing suit while taking a tip in a freezing cold tub. “Spent the most magical morning with Alo,” she captioned a series of Instagram Stories. How does the newlywed approach health and wellness? Celebwell rounded up some of her top lifestyle habits.

1. Healthy But Non-Restrictive Diet

Los,Angeles,-,Aug,01:,Joey,King,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

“It changes so often," Joey told Women’s Health about her diet. “I’ll have whatever is in the house—sometimes pickles mixed with cereal.” For breakfast she might have overnight oats. “Peanut butter is my favorite food, so I’ll just drown [the overnight oats] in peanut butter,” she says. She also loves peanut butter toast with fresh sourdough bread, an avocado and egg scramble, or a takeout breakfast burrito. Dinner could be anything. “There is no normal dinner for me,” she says. “My favorite part about dinner is that the options are endless—we can cook, we can order, we can just do dessert for dinner. It doesn’t matter,” she says.

2. Walking Her Dogs

Los,Angeles,-,Jan,31:,Joey,King,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

Joey’s dogs, Fable and Jesse, help her get out of bed in the morning. “The best part about having animals in your home is that they need exercise. Even when you’re feeling groggy and don’t want to get up, you have to take the dogs for a walk,” she tells Women's Health. “It’s such a nice way to start the day,” she says. “It forces you to get your legs moving and get some Vitamin D.” She also ends the day with another 30-minute walk. “I love taking them for hikes because it’s just so cute to watch them sniff everything,” she jokes. “I could sit for hours watching them sniff.”

3. Lifting Heavy

Joey is really into lifting heavy, which helps stabilize her back and builds strength. “Weights have always been my favorite because I find it to be the most enjoyable and I see the most change in my body,” Joey says. “If I had to choose one workout for the rest of my life, I think it would be deadlifts.”

4. YouTube Workouts

“I get bored really easily if I do the same thing over and over again,” Joey says. “I’m not one of those people who can go to a class and have that be my workout four times a week.” This is where workout videos on YouTube come in handy. “I’ll literally just Google a workout, and [do] the first thing that comes up,” she says. “There’s this 30 minute kettlebell workout I love that gets me sweating.”

5. Destressing with Exercise

Joey.King.2Joey King/Instagram

"This sounds odd, but I didn't know I was the type of person that needs exercise to not feel wound up," she explained. "If I’m feeling pent up and I don't know why, if I just move my body, then all of a sudden I’m so much more relaxed,” she told Byrdie.

6. Low Salt Diet

Joey.King.1Joey King/Instagram

“I have poor circulation, so if I eat a super sodium-induced meal, I’ll wake up super puffy in the morning,” Joey told Women’s Health. After cutting down on salt helped her, she started investigating how her body reacted to other food, testing out an elimination diet. “It sucks, but normally I like all foods,” she said.

How does the 24-year-old stay in shape? Celebwell rounded up her top health habits.

1. Healthy But Non-Restrictive Diet

Los,Angeles,-,Jan,31:,Joey,King,Arrives,For,TheShutterstock

“As far as diet and exercise go, I try to eat as healthfully as possible, but I don’t make myself crazy,” the actress said in an interview with The New Potato. “If I’m craving a piece of bread or a bowl of pasta, sometimes I just need to listen to my body and indulge. You definitely have to find a balance, though, because eating the right things has incredible health and healing benefits.” She fills her diet with fruits, veggies, and protein, “but nobody is perfect,” so sometimes she cheats.

2. Daily Exercise

Joey works out almost every day. “It’s not about how you look – it’s about taking care of your body so you can be the best you,” she told The New Potato. “I also try to exercise 4-5 times a week, but that’s if I’m feeling really motivated. I absolutely love exercise because I feel energetic and happy when I work out on a regular basis, but sometimes ‘vegging out’ is so necessary.”

3. Running and Boxing

Boxing,Gloves,Hanging,On,Wooden,WallShutterstock

In addition to exercising at the gym, Joey runs and boxes, which she loves because “it feels so amazing because I’m so focused,” she told The New Potato. "This kind of boxing has many health benefits, because it constantly requires you to think, change your position, and change your posture," physical therapist Linda Arslanian, director of rehabilitation services at Harvard-affiliated Brigham and Women's Hospital tells Harvard Health."You're swinging your arms, moving the muscles of your arms and shoulders, increasing your upper-body strength. And when you're in the boxer crouch with a wide stance, with your knees slightly bent, you're strengthening your core muscles, back, and legs.”

4. Self-Love

Joey maintains that “above all else” there is one thing that keeps her healthy and happy. “I practice self-love,” she revealed. “Your inner beauty shines when you are emotionally and physically kind to yourself.”

5. Destressing with Exercise

"This sounds odd, but I didn't know I was the type of person that needs exercise to not feel wound up," she explained. "If I’m feeling pent up and I don't know why, if I just move my body, then all of a sudden I’m so much more relaxed,” she told Byrdie.

6. Hiking

Joey loves hiking. “I wish I could beautifully describe how happy I feel in these photos. But I’m no poet, I’m just happy,” she captioned a recent series of snaps. “Hiking is one of the best ways to get exercise. No matter what type of trail you find yourself on, hiking is a great whole-body workout—from head to toe and everything in between,” says the National Parks Service. Some of the physical benefits include building stronger muscles and bones, improving your sense of balance, improving your heart health, and decreasing the risk of certain respiratory illnesses.

1. She Works Out and Sometimes ‘Vegges Out,’ Too

“You definitely have to find a balance…because eating the right things has incredible health and healing benefits. It’s not about how you look – it’s about taking care of your body so you can be the best you. I also try to exercise 4-5 times a week, but that’s if I’m feeling really motivated. I absolutely love exercise because I feel energetic and happy when I work out on a regular basis, but sometimes ‘vegging out’ is so necessary,” she told the New Potato.

2. She Hikes

"Crossed hiking Table Mountain off my bucket list," Joey once wrote on Instagram. "Saw a beautiful sunrise on the way up, and had pancakes for breakfast...what a Sunday." “Starting a walking program takes initiative. Sticking with it takes commitment. But when you think of the potential health benefits, it's well worth your effort. Over time, you'll likely feel more invigorated,” says the Mayo Clinic.

3. She Practices Self-Love

“Most importantly, above all else, I practice self-love,” she told the New Potato.

“Your inner beauty shines when you are emotionally and physically kind to yourself. As far as diet and exercise go, I try to eat as healthfully as possible, but I don’t make myself crazy. If I’m craving a piece of bread or a bowl of pasta, sometimes I just need to listen to my body and indulge.”

4. She Has Done Work On Herself, Mentally

“I have done a lot of work for myself this year. I started therapy this year, which is something I have never done before. I started it to be the best version of myself that I am trying to be,” she said, speaking to Flaunt. She has tried not to put too much pressure on herself. "Being an actor is so tough because you have this image of who you are and what kind of image, in reality, you have no control of what people think of you. I started to see the downside of people having so much information about you or to your personality or personal information," she said.

5. She’s Used to Being in the Spotlight

"In this world, everyone wants to know your business and what you're doing," Joey told Entertainment Tonight while promoting The Kissing Booth 2. "And I think it's very interesting when you go through things and people kind of feel like they're owed an explanation, but I understand."

In addition to her impressive acting ability, the star is a total bombshell and has one of the fittest figures in Hollywood. Here are the top 5 habits that help her stay fit at 27.

Water Skiing

Sydney Sweeney arrives to "The Road to the Golden Globes Party"

Sydney has been water skiing since she was a toddler. “The moment I could walk, my mom put me on what’s called a U-board to learn how to ski,” she told Women’s Health. “I remember that whenever we would go by the docks of my grandma’s or my cousin’s house, I’d wave. I felt so cool because I could take off one hand. That’s my earliest memory of skiing, but I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember. It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
