She Sees Her Life List Character in Herself
Another tidbit Sofia shared? What inspired her to take on the role.
"I remember I was in a meeting and I get a text from my mom: 'Stop whatever you're doing and read this script.' I might have read 15 pages in, and I just felt like I was reading something so special. I felt that in Alex Rose, I not only saw myself, but I felt that Alex Rose is all of us at some point in our lives when we feel like we're alive, but we're not living. And she kind of awakens us to life again," she told USA Today.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Sofia shared a clip from the film and wrote, "My Alex Rose, it was one of the most beautiful adventures of my life to step into your perfectly messy kaleidoscope of life. My Alex. You are all the colors of the rainbow and my god did I love every single second that I had the honor of seeing the world through your eyes. You belong to the world now. And, with my heart, I hope they love you as deeply as I loved being you."
