Lopez’s famous “glow” is ironically the result of how careful she is to protect her skin from the sun. “I like sunbathing like everybody else when I go on vacation,” she says. “It’s not something I over-abuse, but that’s why a big part [of JLo Beauty] was the sunscreen. A dermatologist told me at a very young age to use sunscreen, and I was like, ‘What do I need sunscreen for? I live in New York.’ But the truth is, that was a big part of why I was able to stay youthful-looking because I used it as my moisturizer every single day. It helped me protect myself from the elements, and enough people don’t understand that such a big part of staying youthful looking is using sunscreen every day.”

2. Olive Oil

Lopez swears by olive oil to keep her complexion beautiful. “My mom used to say that olive oil was the cure-all for everything,” she says. “And it’s a secret I’ve used over the years because it really does work. Whenever my hair, skin, or nails were dry, I’d go back to olive oil,”

3. Sleeping Beauty

Lopez says getting good quality sleep is the single best beauty tip she can give anyone. "One of my biggest beauty secrets is sleep," she tells the camera. "One of my tricks for when I can't get enough sleep is that there's a certain amount of hours that I feel like you can sleep before your face falls asleep... either under four or over seven hours. That's my rule."

Lopez believes your skin shows how happy and rested you are. “Until 25, you get the face that you were born with," she says. "After that, you get the face you deserve… Because you can put on all the makeup in the world, but if you're unhappy [and] your skin's not healthy, you're just going to look like you put a bunch of makeup on top of something that's like...you can't cover it up. You can't cover up how you feel on the inside. How you take care of yourself, people see that."

This maximizes the amount of oxygen in your blood. Your heart will beat faster, which increases blood flow to your muscles and back to your lungs. Your small blood vessels (capillaries) will widen to deliver more oxygen to your muscles and carry away waste products, such as carbon dioxide and lactic acid. Your body will even release endorphins, natural painkillers that promote an increased sense of well-being."

She told Vogue that this diet helped her clear up her skin. “What I’d always thought were sunspots – actually, they were sugar spots - started to clear, and my skin looked tighter, dewier, plumper,” she said. “I started to lose weight, probably because my sugar cravings had subsided. When it comes to Lipa’s exercise routine, she tells The Urban List that she likes to try a lot of new things. She also says that she loves to try local workouts when she travels. “I love mixing up lots of different training, finding different workouts in whatever city I’m in, whether it’s yoga, Pilates, boxing or spinning.
