"The Next Kate Upton" Xandra Pohl Swears By These Flat Belly Tips Before "Life-Changing Trip"

Xandra Pohl is a lot of things. She’s a DJ, known for her song “Body Say.” She’s an influencer, known for her “Get ready with me” videos on TikTok. And she’s a model, who’s been dubbed “The next Kate Upton”, and has appeared in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. Pohl recently shared some vacation highlights on Instagram, her impressive figure on display. She captioned the post, “This trip has truly been life changing… sometimes you just need to slow down and love yourself first. never forget that <3 I love you guys.” Here are seven things Pohl did to get her impressive figure and career.

She Works Hard

Pohl opened up about how she found success as a DJ to Ocean Drive. She says that she made sure to work as hard as possible to make a name for herself. “There’s nothing boys hate more than when a girl is better than them at something. So it was definitely hard. It’s such a male-dominated industry, and from the moment I started, it’s been a struggle to get people to take me seriously as a female DJ. I remember wanting to play the clubs in Miami, and no one would pay me unless I got a bigger social following. That’s when I really started posting on social media. I didn’t expect much of it, but I was candidly myself, and it took off pretty immediately. Before I knew it, during my senior year, I was getting tons of traction and even had someone recognize me for the first time. It all changed from there.”

She's Not Trying To Control Everything

Pohl tells Ocean Drive that she has learned to not try to control everything after a recent breakup. “I’ve come to the conclusion that nothing is in your control. You can’t control the people that come in and out of your life. You can only control who you are, what you do and how you react to what other people do. And I feel like it’s so freeing, just understanding that everything is out of your control. I feel like that’s been really helping me. Sometimes, I want to cry and scream and punch a pillow, and I’ll do that. I don’t try to hold anything in and act like I’m OK, because it’s OK not to be OK.”

She's Private

While Pohl is pretty transparent with her life, she’s also learned to keep some things private. “It’s one of the lessons I’ve realized going through this point in my life and sharing it all online and being so vulnerable—everything eventually comes out, but I need to focus on my mental health and how I’m doing first,” she told Ocean Drive. “I love my fans more than anything in the entire world. I feel like we’re one big friend group. They want to know every tiny detail about my life. I love them for that. And I will continue to share most of my life with them. But I’ve realized sometimes I need to process my emotions and think about the consequences of putting everything out there before doing so because everyone has their opinion. It’s part of social media. And you have to be prepared for that.”

She Walks

In her Ocean Drive interview, Pohl revealed that walking is her main way of staying in shape. She is also seen on a walk in her Instagram post. Harvard Health states that walking has a lot of benefits. “Harvard researchers looked at 32 obesity-promoting genes in over 12,000 people to determine how much these genes actually contribute to body weight. Among the study participants who walked briskly for about an hour a day, the effects of those genes were cut in half.”

She Takes Care Of Her Skin

Pohl has amazing skin. She shared her favorite products with Ocean Drive. “I honestly have too many to count, but some favorites are: Caudalie vinoperfect serum, Ole Henriksen banana bright eye creme, Hourglass hydrating skin tint, Frek, Makeup Forever lip liner in wherever walnut, Givenchy prisme libre loose setting powder, Got2B glue for slicked-back hair, Kérastase’s nutritive line, facial radiance pads by First Aid Beauty.”

She's Authentic

Pohl is all about authenticity. ”Honestly, for me, I like to be so unfiltered and real with everything that I'm doing," she said to E! News. "Those times where I'm like, 'Oh, I don't want to post.' I post because everyone has those days where they don't want to post and I just sit there and I tell my feelings like, 'I'm not having a great day, I hate everything. I hate everyone. But you know, I gotta do this, this and this and I'm gonna get through it.'"

She Takes Opportunities

Pohl’s career is taking off, and she wants to take full advantage of it. She tells E! News that she wants to take as many opportunities as possible. "This is just a fun, exciting time in my life and I'm having these crazy opportunities and I just can't pass up on them. And it has been a lot of like scheduling, there's been a lot of life changes but I'm gonna keep doing it because people love it and I love it."

Kate Upton is celebrating Pride Month in not just one swimsuit but many. “What better reason to wear rainbow… Happy #PrideMonth! Swipe to see some of my favorite colorful looks over the years 🌈✨,” she captioned it. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit legend still looks cover-ready at age 29. How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Kate Upton stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. She Focuses on Her Overall Health

"I decided I needed to learn about our bodies," shared Upton, according to Shape. "I wanted to know what it was all about. Why are we working out? Not to get skinny, 'cause that couldn't motivate me anymore. Because I was just dead inside on that subject.” As a result, Upton launched a beauty line in partnership with Found Active.

2. She Was Ogled Early in Her Career

Canada Goose And Vogue Host Cocktails And Conversation About Impact Climate Change Has On The Future Of Polar Bears With Kate UptonJB Lacroix/Getty Images

"Everybody was oohing and ahhing and taking secret photos of me and being like, 'You love this attention, don't you?'" she said on the Skimm podcast about her first Sports Illustrated Swimsuit pary at age 19. "That was my last pool party. I never would get in any kind of bikini in front of people [again] because it was just too overwhelming."

3. She Does Strength-Based Circuit Training

“A typical circuit training workout includes about 8-10 exercise stations. After completing a station, instead of resting, you move quickly to the next station. A muscular strength and endurance circuit alternates muscle groups, such as upper body, lower body and core, so little or no rest is needed in between stations,” says ACE Fitness.

4. She De-Stressed with Exercise

"Depending on where they were shooting, we did five to seven days a week, usually pretty late at night for 60 to 90 minutes. I would have to get a babysitter to watch my girls and train her. It was very, very intense. It served two purposes: de-stressing and toning,” Upton's trainer, David Kirsch, told Elle Australia.

5. She Was There for Her Husband

Upton’s partner Justin Verlander revealed to the Bleacher Report that “I was depressed and kind of just upset at the world and trying to hide my own” stuff.” And Upton? “She was what I needed,” he said. “I don’t like to talk to people about being hurt. As athletes, you’re not supposed to. It’s an excuse,” he said. "But she was someone I could talk to. I mean, basically a therapist. Somebody I could trust with…worries about my career. Worries about, can I make it? Worries about what I’m going through to get back. And just the overall” badness “of it all.”

Kourtney Kardashian is showing off her baby bump in a bathing suit. In one of her latest social media posts, the reality star, who is expecting her fourth child, her first with husband Travis Barker, cradles her growing belly. “Growing you inside of me, my son, is the greatest blessing, honor and joy,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps and a video. Over the years, Kourtney’s view about body, diet, and exercise has shifted dramatically. Here are a few of the things she has said over the years about her body image.

1. She Openly Discussed Body Changes

2022 GQ Men Of The Year Party Hosted By Global Editorial Director Will Welch - ArrivalsShutterstock

Over the years, Kourtney has been candid about the changes her body has gone through, especially when it comes to fertility and pregnancy. “So, obviously my body has changed but it was all of the hormones that the doctors put me on,” Kardashian said to her friends during season 2 of The Kardashians in October 2022. “I think eight months of IVF treatment has definitely taken a toll on my body mentally and physically. It has taken a lot to get me to a place of feeling really comfortable and happy with the changes.” She also discussed all the comments from fans and the many times it has been questioned whether or not she is pregnant. “Everyone always comments on every photo that I am pregnant. Obviously, we wish for that but if it’s in God’s plan then it is.”

2. When She Was “Super Skinny” She Wasn’t “Happy”

Boohoo X Kourtney Kardashian - September 2022 New York Fashion WeekShutterstock

Kourtney tries to remind the world that being skinny doesn’t make you happy. “When I was super skinny, it is a time when I was super anxious. [It was] not about eating or staying at a certain weight but just in toxic relationships,” she said. “I would always say, ‘If I am super skinny just know I am not happy.'”

3. She Helped Make Intermittent Fasting Mainstram

Kardashian was one of the early celebrity supporters of intermittent fasting. "For me, this meant not eating for 14 to 16 hours after dinner. I wouldn't eat past 7 p.m. at night, and then I would wait to eat breakfast the next day until after my morning workout, which would be around 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m,” she said about the routine she followed.

4. She Also Promoted Keto

“My body never looked better than when I did the keto diet two and half years ago, when I did it for two months,” Kourtney wrote on Poosh in June 2019. “In my experience, I’ve found the best method to train my body to curb sugar cravings, burn fat and kick-start weight loss is by sticking to a keto diet.”

5. She Loves Her “Thicker” Body

Kourtney’s ideal weight has changed over the years. "My weight — I used to go so much by weight — I used to be 95 pounds. Then 105 became my new normal weight. I am 115," she explained. "I am so into my thicker body. I looked up photos of my body when I was so skinny — it is cringey."

Kate Upton is giving fans a look at her recent cover of V Magazine with Candice Swanepoel and Daiane Sodre. Upton, 32, shared a picture of the cover where she’s wearing black one-piece Alo Yoga gear, posing with exercise rings. “Had so much fun in Miami shooting the cover of this month’s @vmagazine with some bombshells 💘,” she captioned the post. Here’s how the model and busy mother stays fit and healthy.

1. 30-Minute Workout Sessions

Upton developed her own method of exercise called Strong4Me. “Strong4Me is an at-home fitness program that I created with Ben Bruno that can be achieved in under 30 minutes a day, at home or on the go with minimal equipment,” she told New Beauty. “I like Strong4Me because there’s a big difference between energizing routines vs. energy-suck routines. Doing these quick, efficient workouts consistently provides the added strength and energy I have needed to keep up with my 2-year old during quarantine. This has been more helpful than I could have imagined, and I hope others have found it helpful as well.”

2. Comfortable Style

Upton prioritizes comfort when it comes to her personal style. “I am a function [over fashion] girl for sure,” she told People. “Living in New York and being a mom [Upton shares daughter Genevieve, 5, with husband Justin Verlander], I need to not get the blisters and feel comfortable and confident. When you feel confident in your clothes it shows.”

3. World Travel

Upton is grateful for the opportunities she got from working at a young age. “Growing up in Florida, I was always outside and lived a very active lifestyle along with my three siblings,” she told New Beauty. “We were always horseback riding, at the beach or playing outside. When I started modeling at 15, I wanted to explore the world, and the fashion industry was an amazing way to accomplish that. Starting any career at that young of an age completely shaped the person I am today.”

4. Inspiring Women

Upton is philosophical about the body shaming she endured at the start of her career. “I have to thank the people who did that because it really made me sit back and find out who I was and what meant something to me and how I thought about my body,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “They lashed out on me because they felt insecure about themselves. “I realize that the confidence I had in my body was actually meant to inspire women to love themselves for all their different flaws.”

5. No Filter

Upton is not a fan of the Facetune beauty trend. “I guess this is more on the social media side, but I wish the Facetune trend of altering your appearance in photos would go away,” she told New Beauty. “It ultimately leads to young girls wanting to look like their Facetune-selves rather than their true selves.”

Natalie Jill is educating her followers about loose skin – in her workout gear. In a new social media post the fitness expert bares her belly and reveals that diet and exercise alone won’t get rid of excess skin. “52 (almost 53) here 👋If you’ve ever believed you can’t change YOUR belly situation watch this,” she says, revealing that she is hosting a free “Fat Loss As We Age Interactive workshops.” How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

1. She Hit Rock Bottom

Rock,Bottom,Word,In,A,Dictionary.,Rock,Bottom,Concept.Shutterstock

Natalie Jill was inspired to get in shape after looking at her own reflection in a store window. After a divorce she was depressed and turned to food for comfort. “I ate lots of fast food and junk, and wasn’t active,” she told Prevention. She had put on 60 pounds, 50 from pregnancy and an extra 10. She’d always been fit before, and “the person I saw, with all those bulges and things sagging, was not me,” she said.

2. She Mapped Out a Plan

She started doing research and mapped out a plan to exercise and eat better. She also gave herself a timeframe, vowing to incorporate more natural, unprocessed foods and adding a little more activity every day. “I promised I would give it four months and see what happened—no obsessing, no scale.”

3. She Shaped Her Meals Around Lean Protein, Complex Carbs, and Healthy Fats

“I made sure that all of my meals contained lean protein, complex carbs, and healthy fats," says Jill. "I ate a lot of salads with grilled chicken or fish, and I added olive oil or avocado for fat.” One of Jill’s rules? She could only eat food with ingredients she could pronounce. She also ate more nutritious foods first, so she would fill up and “have less room for the ‘bad.’”

4. She Stuck to Strength Training

Natalie Jill.1Natalie Jill/Instagram

After doing research she also learned she didn’t have to spend money to get fit. She opted for strength and weight training, using body weight for resistance. Her workouts included lots of strength-training exercises, including pull-ups, squats, planks, and triceps dips. “I didn’t spend hours working out,” she says, adding, “If you are exercising daily, you really don’t need more than 15 to 20 minutes.”

5. She Shared Her Journey on Social Media

She started sharing her journey on social media, which motivated others. “People were interested—they would say, ‘Oh, what are you doing to get in shape? I want to try it.’ That kept me accountable,” she says.after four months, she was where she wanted to be. “I couldn’t believe it: I had lost 50 pounds and completely changed my body,” she recalls. “It made me want to keep going.”

Mariana Morais is showing off her ab-fab figure – in a two-piece exercise set. In a new social media post, the fitness influencer flaunts her fantastic figure in a brown sports bra and leggings. “Self Progress & Development is not always linear. Sometimes we take steps back & that’s just a sign to course correct so we can leap forward. If 2024 wasn’t the year you expected, use it as an opportunity to learn, grow, & carry on. It’s you VS you - continue to try, focus on consistency > perfection & you will prevail 🤎 rooting for us all to strengthen our mind & bodies this year,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Prioritizing Digestion and Getting Blood Work Done

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.

She’s Consistent

Last year, Culpo was preparing for her wedding. She told E! News that she made sure to be consistent with her wellness in order to prepare. “Really trying to dial in [on] what I eat, how I workout, the workouts that I do. Trying to get them in consistently because you only get married once and I want to feel my best. But this past season it was just hard being so far away from my normal routine and where I typically live."

She Keeps Her Skin Healthy While Traveling

Culpo has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it, even while traveling. “I don't wear any makeup when traveling," she says to Travel + Leisure. "That's one rule because I do feel like you will have a higher chance of breaking out if you are wearing a full face of makeup. A few things I always have with me is some sort of a spray. I love Dr. Barbara Sturm or Caudalie or La Mer. I also absolutely love traveling with a makeup wipe, the Neutrogena wipes are great. Something to just take off the sweat you build up.”

She Keeps Her Skincare Simple

Culpo shared her skincare routines with Byrdie. She says that she keeps her morning and night routine simple. “I am always trying out new products, so what I gravitate toward is often changing. At night, I usually use an oil and a serum. Right now, I love the Clarins Double Serum. In the morning, I use a Vitamin C serum and an SPF, and, typically, I just rinse my skin with warm water instead of using a cleanser. It is something I swear by—it allows for the oils on my skin from sleeping to absorb naturally.”

She Uses Products With Vitamins

Culpo shared some of her favorite skincare products with Byrdie. She says that she uses ones that have vitamins in them. “I have noticed a huge difference in my skin with vitamin C and E. I love the Good Janes H2OMyGod Moisturizer—it's sort of an all-in-one moisturizer that has vitamin C and collagen peptides. As for vitamin E, I actually just purchase the oil from the drugstore. It is super cheap and great to put on any red marks I may get from an occasional breakout. The healing process is so much quicker when I am using Vitamin E oil.”

She Packs Healthy Snacks

Culpo makes sure to eat healthy. She shared some of the snacks she packs with her with Travel + Leisure. "I love the Kind bars. I love any sort of nuts, to be honest with you. They are a go-to snack for me. I would say Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% and some almonds would be perfect! Also, electrolytes to stay hydrated or some sort of collagen beauty powder or something."

Abigail swears that abiding by simple rules helps her stay in shape. “I can’t diet. That just doesn’t work for me,” she told New Beauty. “I started to be healthier by first cutting out soda. Then, I stopped eating after 7 p.m. Finally, I started really watching my portions so I was eating fewer calories every day. And water—lots and lots of water.”

Abigail explains being accountable for what she eats is crucial. While it’s not “rocket science,” she does use the MyFitnessPal app to track her eating. “I’m the type of person who likes to eat what I want. The app can help anyone do that—you can still eat great food, you just eat less of it,” she added New Beauty.

Pilates

Abigail is a fan of Pilates. “Group workout classes are so big right now, but I always get nervous around other people in settings like that. I have to go at my own pace without a bunch of distractions so, for me, Pilates with a one-on-one instructor works best. It’s not cheap, but then you also aren’t tempted to skip,” she said She added to Men’s Fitness via Muscle & Fitness that the workout “keeps you long and lean” — and the Mayo Clinic agrees. They say it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Balanced Diet

“I love green juices and smoothies. Sometimes I’ll put some protein powder in the morning—I feel like the mix of vegetables, and vitamins and stuff that’s in them, really gives me a lot of energy in the morning. I love BBQ food—my ultimate cheat is a pulled pork sandwich, sweet potato fries, and macaroni and cheese from this great place in LA,” she told Men’s Fitness.

Strength Training

Ratchford also lifts weights. “Initially, I made the mistake that a lot of girls do and I was only doing cardio. I just really didn’t see too much change in my body. I’ve been listening to my girlfriends who are in great shape and they say you have to do weight training, you have to go in and do squats. That’s my new thing—I’ve been doing some resistance training, circuit training,” she told Men’s Fitness. The Mayo Clinic explains that strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

Develop strong bones

Manage your weight

Enhance your quality of life

Manage chronic conditions

Sharpen your thinking skills
