The Office Star Majandra Delfino Shares Swimsuit Photo of "Beaches of Eastwick"

Here are her lifestyle tips.

The Office star Majandra Delfino—she played Fannie Schrute, Dwight's sister—went paddle boarding in Portland, Maine, not letting the cold weather get in the way of a fun time on the water. Delfino, 42, shared a picture of herself wearing a black one-piece swimsuit, posing in front of a mirror with two friends also in swimsuits."Beaches of Eastwick," she captioned the post. "I bet y'all had a blast and you enjoyed your besties being there," a fan commented. Delfino has been acting for decades—here's how she does it.

She's a Singer

Delfino was a singer before getting into acting. "Acting came a lot later in my life," she says. "I've been singing professionally since I was like 11, when I was in a band in Miami, with three of my friends, called China Dolls. Our managers had this great image of us being like Spice Girls or something, but we just didn't get to do what we wanted, so we split up. Now two of the girls have a deal with Sony and the other has a deal with BMG, so everybody's got it together."

Avoiding Unhealthy Fats

Delfino tries to avoid unhealthy fats in her food. "I love to eat lots of things that I am discovering contain partially hydrogenated oil which is such a bad fat for your heart," she says. "I'm a firm believer in good fats that have been proven to be necessary, only problem is a lot of our foods put these oils in to give their products a longer shelf life. So I don't feel guilty when I have cookie dough with normal fat, but I feel bad when it has the unnatural kind."

Pregnancy Experience

Delfino believes people should stop treating pregnant women like public property. "From the moment your belly pops (which for me was two seconds after the 'positive' pee experience) you become what I can only guess most people consider 'public domain'," she says. "That means everyone and I mean EVERYONE has something to say (and feels they MUST say) about how you look, what you're having, how you're going to deliver it and then right back to how you look. And what I learned almost every time is that people (even women) are still super down on women."

Horseback Riding

Delfino loves horses and horseback riding. "For the average junior or amateur rider who trains in the saddle at least two to three times per week, riding is a great addition to an exercise program," says professional hunter-jumper rider and trainer Melissa Gruber. "Riding is a total body workout. Your legs, arms and core work together to control and communicate with the horses. Really, riding is a partnership sport; the rider and the horse support and guide each other. Just like dancing or ice skating with a partner, horse and rider communicate through body language and touch."

5

Skiing Trips

Delfino enjoys skiing trips with her friends and family. "It's well documented that skiing and snowboarding benefits cardiovascular health, overall fitness, strength, coordination, balance and more," says the Canadian Ski Council. "Regardless of your health and fitness goals, strapping on a pair of skis or a snowboard is sure to fulfill some of them. Due to the versatility of skiing and snowboarding, it can encompass the benefits of a cardio workout, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) session, and strength training session, all in one fun activity."
