Mark Wahlberg isn’t slowing down in his 50s—if anything, he’s more shredded than ever. The actor, producer, and fitness enthusiast has built a reputation for his intense workouts and disciplined diet. In a recent TikTok, he gave fans a sneak peek at what’s fueling his muscle gains, from protein-packed meals to superfoods that keep him energized. If you’re wondering how Wahlberg stays jacked well into his 50s, here’s a breakdown of his go-to nutrition hacks.

He Eats Eggs

In his TikTok, Wahlberg is seen enjoying eggs with sausage. According to University Hospitals, eggs have a lot of health benefits. “At 70 calories each, eggs are a stellar protein source and a nutritional powerhouse. When eaten as part of a balanced diet, eggs provide multiple health benefits and are unlikely to pose a risk for heart disease.”

He Eats Salmon

Wahlberg is also seen enjoying salmon. The Mayo Clinic states that salmon has a lot of benefits. “Seafood in general, and salmon in particular, is a good choice for protein in the diet. If you can use salmon in place of a higher fat meat, that's even better. Salmon is probably best known for its omega-3 fatty acids. Called EPA and DHA, these fats may support heart health, brain function and healthy joints.”

He Likes Lemon Juice

Wahlberg is seen enjoying lemon juice in his TikTok. St. Vincent’s Medical Center states that lemon is very beneficial. “Weight-loss studies have also noted the effects of lemon. Drinking lemon water, which keeps you hydrated, increases your metabolism. One glass burns at least six calories. It can also help you feel full, making it easier to resist an urge to snack.”

He Likes Olive Oil

Another thing that Wahlberg is seen eating in his TikTok is olive oil. According to The Cleveland Clinic, olive oil has a lot of health benefits. “EVOO contains more than 20 types of polyphenols, a category of plant-based chemical compounds that help protect your heart and reduce inflammation throughout your body. Polyphenols are a type of antioxidant.”

He Gets Enough Protein

Protein is a big part of Wahlberg’s diet. He is not only seen eating high-protein foods like eggs and salmon in his TikTok, but he is also seen eating protein bars and powders. Piedmont states that protein is extremely important. “Protein is an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage and skin. In fact, your hair and nails are composed mostly of protein. Your body uses it to build and repair tissue.”

He Eats Blueberries

Wahlberg is also seen enjoying blueberries in his TikTok. The Cleveland Clinic states that blueberries have a lot of benefits. “Because blueberries are high in fiber and lower in sugar when compared to other fruits, they don’t cause your blood sugar to spike. For people with certain health conditions, scientists suspect this positive effect could aid with blood sugar management.”

Henry Cavill Reveals Secrets to Staying Strong With Exact Workout

In an exclusive interview with Celebwell, he reveals everything he does to stay in shape.

We've consulted with our team of licensed nutritionists and dietitians to bring you informed recommendations for food products, health aids and nutritional goods to safely and successfully guide you toward making better diet and nutrition choices. We strive to only recommend products that adhere to our philosophy of eating better while still enjoying what you eat.

Henry Cavill is one of Hollywood’s most fitness-oriented leading men. The 38-year-old, most celebrated as this generation’s reigning Superman-slash-Clark Kent, recently took on a new role: Chief Creative Officer at MuscleTech, a globally recognized brand of sports supplements. In a new interview with CelebWell, the British actor revealed all of his secrets to staying fit—from grueling workouts and regimented diet to his go-to trick for keeping his muscles looking as large and defined as possible while shooting. Read on to see his 8 essential tips.

1. His Diet Is Extremely Regimented

henry-cavill-muscletech-4MuscleTech

Henry splits his eating up into five meals a day, supplementing his food intake with shakes and supplements. “I wake up in the morning and I have a protein shake, one-and-a-half to two scoops of hundred percent grass fed whey protein, plus a cup and a half of oats, plus a two egg omelet with some ham or turkey in it, and four ounces of filet steak,” he explains. “That's breakfast.” His second and third meal consist of six ounces of check breast with brown rice. His fourth, dinner, is usually five ounces of filet of beef with sweet potato. And, prior to bed he will mix up a beverage. “I'll have a pre-bed shake to make sure I don't go into a catabolic state and that will be, just protein and water,” he reveals.

2. He Cheats Just Once a Week

Fish,And,Chips,In,A,Paper,Wrapper.,Ruddy,Crust,OfShutterstock

Henry does cheat, but just one meal per week. “My cheat meal depends on the week and the country,” he explains. His go-to? Pizza. “You could find pizza from pretty much any country,” he says. Other faves include fish and chips if he is in the UK or a Sunday roast.

3. He Prioritizes Sleep

Red Carpet Arrivals - GQ Men Of The Year Award 2018Matthias Nareyek/Getty Images

Sleep is a crucial part of Henry’s recovery. “I aim for eight, but it depends,” he says about his sleep goals. “So sometimes that is just impossible. So between between six and eight.”

4. His Workouts Are Intense

henry-cavill-muscletech-10MuscleTech

Henry shies away from heavy lifting, despite the fact that he once famously lifted deadlift 495 pounds. “I don't really have a huge benefit towards doing a max bench press,” he admits. “It can be handy for some stuff, but I'm never going to use it.” Instead, his workouts are focused on doing high reps of lower weights, or hypertrophy, which involves pumping the muscles with “as much blood as possible,” in order to put enough pressure on them. “So you're doing micro tears and you're creating size in the muscle and not necessarily huge amounts of strength.”

5. Leg Day Is His Favorite (And Least) Workout

henry-cavill-muscletech-2MuscleTech

“My favorite workout and also my least favorite workout is probably a good leg day,” he says. “There's something enormously rewarding about finishing a leg day. There’s something terrifying about going into it and yeah. I think that's probably probably the right answer, but if I'm feeling pretty tired and I just want to end up leaving the gym looking good, then there's nothing better than shoulder and arms day.”

6. He Does Cardio

henry-cavill-muscletech-3MuscleTech

Henry reveals that he is “trying to integrate more cardio” into his workouts—especially if an upcoming project requires topless scenes. “When I'm coming up to a shirtless scene there will be, I would say 15 minutes to 20 minutes of cardio in the morning and then again another 20 minutes after a workout and 20 minutes before bed." Recently he has been adding interval sprints into his morning training.

7. How He Looks His Most Ripped While Filming

henry-cavill-muscletech-7MuscleTech

Henry’s secret to looking his most chiseled prior to shooting? “Before a show, before I shoot a scene and throughout the day, I will do what we call trying to build a pump and then maintain it,” he explains. “And so that'll be using bands and dumbbells and weights just enough to fill the muscles with blood, to make them look their best and their largest, the most round.” He will continue to train and maintain throughout the day, “which can be exhausting, essentially doing like an eight hour workout,” he admits.

8. He Takes These Supplements

henry-cavill-muscletech-5MuscleTech

MuscleTech supplements are a big part of Henry’s fitness plan. “I have my basic line of supplements, my regular stack as we call it,” he reveals. “At the moment I stick to 100% grass fed whey protein, and I have that as part of my breakfast, my post-workout shake and my pre bed shake. I also take a pack of multivitamins every day. I use Shatter Pre-workout if I'm feeling particularly tired before workouts. And I also use Amino Build during my workout to make sure that I'm getting the most out of it.”

8. And Here's How He Reloads His Arms

GettyImages-997188758-cropStephane Cardinale - Corbis/Corbis via Getty Images

We asked Henry how he "reloads his arms"—as seen in the viral GIF from Mission: Impossible—Fallout, where he appears to recharge his arms before punching Tom Cruise. "The secret is, there is no secret. That was a happy accident," he said with a laugh. "I was on set and throwing a lot of punches that day and the tendons in my elbows were starting to get quite sore. So I literally was just throwing elbows out to warm them up before throwing punches again. And it happened to look good. And the director told me to keep on doing it.”

Hulk Hogan is turning 70 this summer – and is in the best shape of his life. The wrestling legend opens up about how he lost 40 pounds in a new interview with Men’s Health. “About 15 years ago my body kinda shut down on me. I had several knee surgeries, and then after wrestling 40 years almost, my body shut down on me,” he said. “I went in for one back surgery and it was turned into 10 back surgeries. Both knees needed to be replaced. Both hips were replaced. A couple surgeries on my face from getting my orbital socket broken a couple times. And it ended up being 25 or 26 surgeries, or a couple more, over a 10- or 12-year period,” he continued, confessing “it changed the game on me. It made everything different for me.” How did he lose the weight and get into the best shape ever? Read on to see 8 ways Hulk Hogan stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. He Changed One Thing: Everything

Celebrity Sports Agent, Darren Prince, Hosts Invite-Only, Private Event For His New Best Selling Book 'Aiming High'John Parra/Getty Images

Hulk revealed that he changed one thing to prioritize his health: Everything. “I changed my whole lifestyle because at the time, being in so much pain and getting older and older I couldn’t carry that much weight. When you are sedentary and not wrestling or moving every night, it’s easy to put weight on. So, I decided to drop weight and get down to about 265. Actually, the last time I weighed 265 was in ninth grade,” he says in the interview.

2. He Quit Drinking

Small,Liquor,Production,BottleShutterstock

Hulk also put down the bottle. “I don’t drink alcohol at all,” he told Men’s Health, revealing that he hadn’t sipped alcohol in six months. “It got to be a way to numb me a little bit, because I had a bunch of crazy business problems and personal stuff going on,” he explained. “And I caught myself after I would train, getting too aggressive with alcohol. So I just had to stop it.”

3. He Hydrates

Hulk also revealed that he prioritizes hydration – and the only thing he drinks is water. According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

4. Here Is What He Eats in a Day

Top,Down,View,Of,Fresh,,Raw,Sashimi,Fish,,Beautifully,ArrangedShutterstock

“I wasn’t educated in terms of quality of food. Or quantity. I was just hungry all the time,” Hulk told the publication. When he took the camera inside of his fridge he exclaimed: “Everything in here is organic. We've got the yogurts, we've got blueberries, we've got almond milk, protein to wash down vitamins.” For breakfast he eats “couple yogurts, a banana, and organic coffee.” For lunch he enjoys chicken or steak or sashimi. And for dinner, chicken or steak or sashimi.

5. He Quit Sugar and Dairy, But Still Indulges in Sweets

Hulk stopped eating sugar, “When I realized it caused a whole bunch of inflammation in my joints,” he said. “Sugar had to be eliminated immediately cuz I was trying to figure out why being completely healthy was much more important to me than, you know, making my body numb.” Now his sweet treats include vanilla sandwiches, almond milk, mocha chocolate fudge almond milk, caramel crusted, non-dairy frozen dessert, and acai. “Woo bad to the bone,” he exclaimed.

6. This Is His Cheat Meal

“I do have a cheat day every once in a while. I had a cheat night last night at Hogan's Hangout. I actually ate french fries and dipped them in thousand island dressing,” said Hulk. “I woke up all swed up this morning from the pump.”

7. He Takes Supplements

Does Hulk take any supplements? “Of course I take supplements,” he says to the camera, revealing a pantry filled with various vitamins.

8. He Breaks Up His Workouts By Body Part

Actor Chris Hemsworth is perhaps best known for his role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but he had another huge hit recently with Netflix’s Extraction—so much so that he’s training now for the sequel. Hemsworth just shared a video of his intense HIIT workout, as he gets ready for the role. Read on to learn more about it, and to see seven ways Chris Hemsworth stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get more fitspiration, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bikini Photos!

1. He Does Body Weight Functional Movements

According to a recent Instagram video, Hemsworth is doing a different workout to prepare for his role in Netflix’s Extraction sequel. Hemsworth wrote “Transitioning from heavy weight training to a lot more body weight functional movements concentrating on agility, strength, and speed.” In the video, Hemsworth is seen boxing, doing squats, push-ups, and core exercises.

2. He Does Bodybuilding Workouts

Celebrities Visit Build - June 13, 2019Jim Spellman/Getty Images

Hemsworth worked with trainer and former Navy SEAL, Duffy Gaver, on a bodybuilding workout. Gaver says to Muscle & Fitness that he kept Hemsworth’s methods simple. “We’ve pretty much stuck to the original template,” Gaver says. “Of course we’ve had some variation over time to keep things interesting and prevent plateaus, but this is the basic template.”

3. He Weight Lifts

For his role in the Marvel movies, Hemsworth would lift weights regularly, and worked with Luke Zocchi on his plan. "For this last Thor, we stuck to a regime of push/pull. It would be split into five days: push for a chest day, pull for back, legs, shoulders, and arms," Zocchi explains to Eat This, Not That!.

4. He Eats Red Meat

Men in Black: International London PhotocallJeff Spicer/Getty Images

Hemsworth’s diet consists of a lot of red meat, according to his trainers Luke Zocchi, and Duffy Garver. "Sometimes, I'm surprised how much red meat he eats 'cause it's like he just doesn't get sick of steak—he can just eat it any time of the day, at breakfast or whatever," says Zocchi to Eat This, Not That!. "He loves it. It's weird. In his genetic makeup, that's what he likes to do." Garver echoed Zocchi’s statements to Muscle & Fitness. “People see Chris and they think he was on steroids, but he didn’t touch a single substance,” Gaver says. “It was just red meat, heavy weights and some protein powder. He crushed every single workout. He simply decided to look like Thor.”

5. He Eats About 4,000 Calories A Day

Chris Hemsworth Launches TAG Heuer Autavia CollectionRyan Pierse/Getty Images

According to Insider.com, Hemsworth tries to eat 4,000 calories and 300 grams of protein a day, which he is able to do because of his high metabolism. Hemsworth crafted his diet with the help of chef and food expert, Sergio Perera. “Chris eats a bit more red meat than usual, but limits it to daytime as it requires more energy to digest. This is unless he trains later in the evening, in which case he may have a lamb chop after his workout," says Perera to Men’s Health. “It’s important Chris eats a lot of food to bulk up.”

6. He Drinks Shakes At The Beginning Of The Day, And After A Morning Workout

Green,Detox,Smoothie,From,Avocado,And,Baby,Spinach,In,AShutterstock

According to Men’s Health, Hemsworth likes to drink at least one shake each day. Hemsworth drinks a shake in the morning. "Chris’ day always starts with a large green shake made up of 5-6 different types of leafy greens and vegetables, low-glycemic fruits, nuts, seeds, fats and small amounts of sea salt to aid in electrolyte balance, nerve transmission and glucose metabolism," Hemsworth’s friend and food expert, Sergio Perera told Men’s Health. Perera also disclosed that Hemsworth drinks a post-workout shake four out of five weekdays.

7. He Loves The Water

Hemsworth is a native Australian, and grew up going to the beach. Hemsworth told Men’s Journalthat he and his wife live on a beach town, and he loves to go surfing. “My wife is always saying, ‘Come on, let’s do something different.’ And I’m like, ‘If it’s as good as surfing, sure.’”

Paul Rudd has accomplished a lot in his life. His most recent achievement? Being named People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” for 2021. And it’s well-deserved. 1. He’s Committed to His Diet

When Rudd joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the superhero Ant-Man, he had to get in shape. Rudd tells Variety that he was extremely committed to his healthy lifestyle while preparing for the film. “I took the Chris Pratt approach to training for an action movie. Eliminate anything fun for a year and then you can play a hero,” he says.

2. He Works Out Daily

"The Shrink Next Door" New York PremiereAlexi J. Rosenfeld/Getty Images

Another part of Rudd’s Ant-Man preparation was working out everyday. Rudd said that he worked hard to make fitness a regular thing. “My day was centered around fitness and health, and that was kind of a first,” he tells People. “Every other time, I had to go about my day and try and find the time to work out. But [this time] everything else about my day kind of had to fit in around the workouts. I was going to be held accountable for it, and there was a reason for doing it. I wasn’t just randomly doing this kind of arbitrarily, which would have made it a lot harder.”

3. He Wears Sunscreen

Rudd is known for looking the same way for decades, and a big part of it is his skin. "I am a big believer in sunscreen," he tells InStyle. "I'm not one for tanning. I used to be, back when I was rocking the Depeche Mode look. Honestly, I wear sunscreen not to prevent wrinkles but because I don't want to get skin cancer."

4. He Worked With A Trainer

When preparing for his role in Ant-Man Rudd worked with trainer Brendan Johnston to get in shape. Johnston tells Muscle & Fitness that he saw a huge transformation with the actor. “He was much more athletic,” Johnston says. “Stronger, faster, and agile. He didn’t want to just look like a superhero. He had to move, run, jump, and fight like one, as well.”

5. He Eliminated Things From His Diet

HFPA And THR Golden Globe Ambassador Party - Press Conference And ArrivalsRodin Eckenroth/Getty Images

Rudd’s diet for Ant-Man involved taking things out of his everyday diet, and he admits that it really helped him. He tells AARP, “I started training and eating like an athlete: no sugar, no alcohol, just proteins and vegetables. I really loved it. It was a complete change of life that took me by surprise. I did not think living such a healthy lifestyle would be as fulfilling.”

It’s my favorite.” How does it help her achieve her amazing body? “It’s a lot of upper body strength, it’s balance, it’s core, it’s legs—you get tired really fast,” she says. “I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun,” she said.

Morning Workouts

Sydney mixes up her exercise routine, but likes to get workouts over with early in the day. “I like to work out in the morning, so I’ll either go for a run or I’ll go to Solidcore,” says Sydney. The high-intensity, low-impact Pilates-inspired workout “makes me feel so strong, but also elongated,” Sydney said about her sweat sessions. “I feel so good afterwards.”

Self-Care

Sydney engages in self-care activities. “I love to paint, and I love to read,” she said. “Those are the activities that are just for me.” One Harvard study published in Social Science & Medicine found that people who read books regularly had a 20% lower risk of dying over the next 12 years than those who weren't readers or who read periodicals.

She Walks and Hikes

One of the ways she treats her anxiety is by spending time outdoors with her dog, Tank. She takes him on walks or hikes. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day reduced the risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia, and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

Strength Training

Mariana relies on old-school strength training to keep her body toned. “Training till failure instead of reps + taking my ab routine up a notch by incorporating weighted exercises,” she wrote about one of her workout tactics. “I can feel my muscles being challenged and am in tune with my movements.” According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills

Other healthy habits? “Prioritizing digestion,” she writes in the same post. “Making sure I get enough fiber & starting off every morning with a juice cleanse. This has helped me feel so much better everyday.” She also gets regular blood work done. “So important to check your levels and know what’s going on in your body routinely! Don’t skip the doc apts, always better to be preventative.”

Hiking

Mariana enjoys hiking. “Elevation therapy,” she captioned a post from one of her fitness adventures. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:

  • Building stronger muscles and bones
  • Improving your sense of balance
  • Improving your heart health
  • Decreasing the risk of some respiratory issues

Mariana does reformer Pilates. “POV: Stepping into the prettiest torture chamber,” she wrote across a video of herself at the studio. Why is Pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic, the workout has many benefits, as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, stress and back pain relief, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Emsculpt NEO

Mariana recently got an aesthetic body treatment, Emsculpt NEO. “I’ve heard all the rage about the benefits to spot reducing fat & toning muscle so I had to give it a try to target those pesky lower abs. It was a 10/10 & a great addition to my workout routine,” she wrote.
