Celebrities Love This 3-Ingredient Snack That Melts Belly Fat

It includes plenty of protein and fiber. Plus, it's tasty!

If you're on a diet or simply maintaining your waistline, you're likely mindful of everything you put into your body. Your meal rotation can get tricky—and mundane. It's challenging to find meals that are actually fun, tasty, filling, and healthy. Well, look no further than this three-ingredient celeb-approved snack that actually helps burn body fat—dietitians say so! Not only that, but it checks off so many other boxes you're looking for.

We turned to a favorite recipe Megan Thee Stallion posted on Instagram in her "Hottie Bootcamp" series. In her clips, she shared wholesome changes she incorporated into her lifestyle, including her diet.

In one video she said, "The things I've been eating are not so good for my body and have been slowing me down." Sound familiar? Megan has a solution for something nutritious to whip up for snack. It includes Greek yogurt with berries and granola. (Celebs like Maria Menounos, Peta Murgatroyd, Nina Agdal, and Laura Hamilton love Greek yogurt, too!)

Not only is this simple snack healthy; it's tasty, too.

Greek Yogurt With Nuts and Berries Makes for an Ideal Fat-Loss Snack

"Greek yogurt with berries and nuts can make a great fat-loss snack because it's satisfying, thanks to the protein in the Greek yogurt and nuts, and the fiber in the berries. The fat in the nuts also increases satisfaction." The Nutrition Twins®Tammy Lakatos Shames, RD, CDN, CFT, and Lyssie Lakatos, RD, CDN, CFT, tell Celebwell. "In addition, this protein, fiber, and fat combination helps to stabilize blood sugar which prevents the energy crashes that trigger cortisol (the belly fat hormone) release and that signal the need for a quick pick-me-up that leads to cravings for quick energy sources like sugar."

The berries contain antioxidants that decrease inflammation. This is crucial for weight loss, since inflammation makes weight loss more challenging and weight gain easier.

"Additionally, berries contain a phytochemical called C3G which may enhance fat metabolism by increasing the production of the hormone adiponectin, while they also may increase the hormone leptin, which suppresses appetite," The Nutrition Twins explain. "Also, yogurt provides good-for-your-gut probiotics and having a healthy gut microbiome is associated with less body fat."

This Combination of Ingredients Is a Satiety Powerhouse

As far as satiety is concerned, incorporating sufficient fiber and protein and a little bit of fat is essential. These nutrients slow down the digestion process, which keeps you feeling fuller for longer.

"By slowing digestion … they also help to stabilize blood sugar," The Nutrition Twins say. "This means you won't get a sugar high, followed by a sugar crash; sugar crashes signal the brain to get the fastest pick-me-up it can find—sugar. Sugar cravings can lead to a vicious cycle of sugar highs followed by crashes that trigger more sugar cravings. So preventing sugar/ energy crashes is huge when it comes to weight loss."

A Protein-Packed Snack Like Greek Yogurt Helps Preserve Muscle During Fat Loss

When you lose weight, protein is key, as it helps preserve lean muscle mass during calorie restriction. If you don't take the necessary steps to maintain muscle during weight loss, your body will turn to fat and muscle for energy.

"Protein provides the amino acids that are necessary to help to prevent this and rebuild and repair muscle," The Nutrition Twins tell Celebwell. "Plus, when calories are restricted during weight loss, getting enough protein to prevent the muscle loss may be challenging for people as they eat smaller meals and less protein overall, so including a protein-rich snack can help people to get the protein they would otherwise miss out on if they chose a typical carb rich snack or skipped a snack altogether."
