Charissa Thompson is a prominent sports journalist. She currently appears on Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime, and previously worked at ESPN. Thompson just shared a highlight reel on Instagram. She captioned the post, “Yes it has certainly been a year!!! I’m not normally one to post the cliche montage videos but after the year I had, I wanted to celebrate! Because Lord knows the year before wasn’t so great. In short, I am looking back on this year and with a tremendous amount of gratitude. Thank you to everyone who picked me up off the floor and helped me get out of the dark place I was in & made me whole again. You know who you are and I thank you.” How does she stay so fit? Read on to see 5 ways Charissa Thompson stays in shape and the photos that prove they work.

1. She Runs

Thompson shared how she stays in shape in an interview with New Beauty. “I’ve always been a runner. I always said this about running: All you need is a pair of sneakers. Being able to put on shoes and get outside the walls of your home was a good escape during COVID—so even with the closing down of gyms and the yoga studio, there’s still always the outdoors.”

2. She Keeps Her Skin Hydrated

Two,Pipettes,With,Different,Samples,Of,Gels,Cosmetic,Products,InShutterstock

In her New Beauty interview, Thompson shared her skincare tips. She says that she needs to keep it hydrated due to all the traveling. “I forgot how flying airplanes and air-conditioned hotel rooms are tough on everything, so I tried to make sure that I stayed hydrated with my hair, my skin, my nails, all of those things. That’s definitely something that is a big part of my routine: Hydration, in all facets.”

3. She Takes Her Products With Her

Thompson shared one of her biggest skincare tips in her New Beauty interview. “I always make sure to bring my own products! Do not use the hotel soap! I recently did that and was like, ‘Charissa, amateur hour here.’ With all due respect to hotel products, they’re not the greatest. Besides that, I’ve gotten pretty good at doing my own hair and makeup on the road…the makeup part I’m still not an expert in it, but I would hope I’ve gotten better. I think I’ve gotten better!”

4. She Takes Care Of Her Skin

Thompson has a lot of go-to skin products, and shared them with New Beauty. “I cannot leave anywhere without my Fresh Rose Petal Lip Balm. I have it with me at all times; I even have backups. I also love the Burt’s Bees lip balms. It always goes a long way. I’m the person who buys all the products and then forgets to use any of them, so I like a good all-in-one—especially anything that combines an SPF lotion and makeup. Lune+Aster makes an awesome CC Cream that’s a tinted moisturizer and sunscreen. I pretty much use that as my foundation. Dior mascaras are a staple for me. Then, in line with the all-in-one thing, I love the Nivea lotion that that almond oil in it. It also gives a good sheen and shine.”

5. She Has Support

Thompson is best friends with fellow sports journalist, Erin Andrews. The two talked about their relationship to People. “It's been amazing to have our journeys sort of intersect and be intertwined and still, we came here to do a job that we really, truly love," Thompson says. "To be able to, as girlfriends, best friends, talk about the job and understand what one another needs."

WNBA star and free agent Te'a Cooper has clearly learned to love swimsuit photoshoots since appearing in Sports Illustrated. Cooper, 26, enjoyed some downtime by hitting the pool, and shared the photos on her Instagram. The athlete can be seen posing in the water in a vibrant red bikini, completing the look with a beautiful blue necklace and dark sunglasses, her hair pulled into a ponytail. “Te’a SWIM WEEK 💦🫶 @target,” she captioned the post. “My girly,” commented fellow player Angel Reese. Here’s how Cooper stays fit, beautiful, and on top.

1. Vegan Diet

Cooper cooks her own meals as much as possible. “I recently just tried going vegan for a few months and it was great,” she says. “I felt great. My body felt great. I had a lot of energy. It’s just refreshing. This past year, I just started cooking regularly. I cook breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, so I’m just now getting into that. I guess you can really tell the difference more if you aren’t an athlete, but I really did feel the effect of eating vegan foods in the off-season. Energy-wise, during the day, when I’m not doing anything and I’m not sleepy without practicing stuff, I think that’s when I felt the difference more. It’s a huge difference, honestly.”

2. Sports Illustrated Model

Cooper is a Sports Illustrated model, and while she was surprised to be asked to take part, she was thrilled in the end. Being with her fellow athletes at the shoot in St. Thomas helped make her feel more comfortable. “When I got the call, I initially [thought], ‘Did they call the right person?’” she joked.“It kind of felt like I was getting ready for a game. It was really comfortable. I was super excited to just be with them and see them be out of their element, too. They are so empowering. They just really make you comfortable in your own skin.”

3. Embrace the Roller Coaster

Panoramic,Shot,Of,A,Roller,Coaster's,Loop,At,Sunset.Shutterstock

Cooper believes in embracing the journey, both ups and downs. “Everything’s not always gonna be up — it’s a roller coaster,” she says. “Sports teaches you the beauty of the ups and downs… I think for mental health purposes, enjoy that roller coaster. So, you know, things happen, but it always has a way of working out. So no matter where I am in life, I just feel like it’s gonna work out. Unfortunate things happen, but it’s like I’ve been there before, been down before, so I’m gonna be up soon, and I just kind of stay humble and stay in the middle and just stay steady, honestly.”

4. Fashion Forward

Cooper loves how the WNBA players are becoming known for their fashion as well as their skills. “I took the game day ‘fits very seriously,” she says. “I would say embracing your own style and confidently walking in your own style [is important]. How you see yourself and what you put out there — the evolution of you and just seeing your style grow — I think is the most interesting aspect of it. I love fashion and I definitely want to be on a runway someday!

5. Self-Care Is Self-Love

For Cooper, self-care is about a healthy lifestyle. “I think really, a lot of things are mental,” she says. “People think eating healthy is like you’re on a diet or you’re trying to lose weight when really it can be a lifestyle. Like you just wanna be cleaner, you just wanna be healthier mentally, physically, emotionally, and some of that has to do with your food. I think just focusing on yourself and making sure you feel good is the best advice I can give. Everybody’s story is different and everybody’s emotions are different, so my advice won’t help somebody who’s not me—but just taking care of yourself could help everybody.”

Danica Patrick, Disha Parmar, Kelly Gale, Ella Purnell, Jessica Simpson, Shannon Singh and Abbey Clancy are ready for summer. They each posed in a swimsuit this week, and each, in the past, has had an inspiring message about life and how to live it. How do they stay so fit? Read on to see all the ways Danica Patrick and more stays in shape and the photos that prove they work—and to get beach-ready yourself, don't miss these essential 30 Best-Ever Celebrity Bathing Suit Photos!

1. Danica Patrick

Danica-1Danica Patrick/Instagram

Danica recently had her implants removed, and shared a photo of herself before she got them. “I wish I could of told this 32 year old girl that” a big chest “won’t make you more perfect or have it all or be more feminine,” she wrote. “These were my reasons and to me these narratives are the problem. Implants just feed into it. Culture feeds into it. Social media feeds into it. Filters feed into it. Unhealed trauma feeds into it. The work is always an inside job. The real question is - how can I do the emotional work to see myself as perfect, having it all, and feminine? When we do that, we won’t seek outside validation or a way to get it. The world is just a mirror to show us where we are not healed. Super grateful to be feeling better so quickly. To be clear, the transparency of the dangers of implants are an issue. I also understand that mastectomy’s require options. However, all I’m saying is, if we don’t have an insecurity issue... any potential risk or danger go away.”

2. Disha Parmar

Disha has said in the past that one of her favorite dishes is “rajma chawal.” A key component is red kidney beans. “Red beans — including small red beans and dark red kidney beans — are a good source of iron, phosphorus and potassium. They're also an excellent low-fat source of protein and dietary fiber. Red beans also contain phytonutrients. Don't like red beans? Substitute another kind to enjoy beans' health benefits,” says the Mayo Clinic.

3. Kelly Gale

"Breakfast itself was plain yogurt, homemade pistachio butter, and homemade, grain-free müesli served with chopped-up apples. Before I left for my first fashion week appointment, I used a few minutes to quickly put together my lunch for later…,” she once said. When choosing a yogurt, watch out. "The No. 1 thing” to be careful of “would be added sugar," says Jen Welper, an executive wellness chef with the Mayo Clinic Healthy Living Program to the Mayo Clinic. "Even though it might say it’s light or fat-free, there may be sugar added to replace the creaminess in those yogurts."

4. Ella Purnell

Ella-PurnellElla Purnell/Instagram

The Yellowjackets star said this about her role on the show to Teen Vogue: "I think Jackie and Shauna are in deep-friend love…. Maybe some of the dynamics between them are a little more complicated because there’s a lot of jealousy and possession and codependence. And that comes up a lot in female friendships."

5. Jessica Simpson

Simpson lost quite a bit of weight. “I have gained and lost 100lbs 3x so I never thought this moment could or would happen, but I’m finally spring breakin’ wearin’ a BIKINI!!!!!!

Hard work

Determination

Self Love

I enjoyed a good proud cry today 💪🏼☀️,’ she said. She balanced what she ate, according to Harley Pasternack, her guiding light and author of the Body Reset Diet. "It’s about balancing in a way that doesn’t make it painful or too much of a departure from your life before that,” he has said.

6. Shannon Singh

"I try not to be on my phone too much on a self-care day, social media can be a toxic place where you compare yourself to other people with unattainable lifestyles. I'll sit and watch Netflix or listen to music. I know it sounds weird but cleaning also brings me a little bit of therapy. I'll really clean my room and make sure it's fresh, change my bed and then get my face mask on. I'm not going to lie, I also sometimes love a glass of red wine on an evening, too,” the Love Island star told Heatworld.

7. Abbey Clancy

Clancy starts some mornings with a drink that includes kale, spinach, lime, pineapple, pear, and coriander. She also has a Turmeric latte. “Turmeric is made from an underground stem that resembles ginger root. It has a warm, earthy flavor. Turmeric is the spice that gives curried dishes their yellow color. It works well with chicken, fish, vegetables, lentils and rice,” says the Mayo Clinic.

Kriti Sanon knows that staying fit doesn’t have to feel like a chore. The Bollywood star recently shared a video on Instagram rocking two-piece workout gear, proving that her fitness philosophy is all about keeping things fun and challenging. From TRX routines to hip thrusts, Sanon mixes up her workouts to stay motivated and strong. “It’s gotta be fun,” she says—and judging by her energy in the gym, she’s clearly found the perfect balance. Here’s how Sanon keeps herself in top shape with a variety of exercises that work both body and mind.

She Does TRX

Sanon does a lot of things to keep herself in shape. She is seen using TRX cables in her Instagram video. NIFS states that these exercises have a lot of benefits. “If you have ever taken a class or done some of even the most basic exercises, you quickly see that core activation is one of the most important aspects. The workouts are simple yet very challenging, and you can easily complete a total-body workout only using one piece of equipment in 20 minutes.”

Strength Training

Sanon is seen doing a lot of strength training exercises in her Instagram video. Strength training has a lot of health benefits. The Mayo Clinic states, “By stressing your bones, strength training can increase bone density and reduce the risk of osteoporosis. Strength training can help you manage or lose weight, and it can increase your metabolism to help you burn more calories.”

She Does Hip Thrusts

Sanon is seen doing hip thrusts with a shoulder press in her Instagram video. Hip thrusts have a lot of benefits. Gymless says, “Hip thrusts are a controlled and powerful movement, mainly focusing on the glutes, hamstrings, lower back, and core. This exercise is vital for developing a stronger posterior chain, contributing to improved athletic performance, alleviating lower back pain, and enhancing overall physique. Considering that about 65 million Americans experience some form of back pain, hip thrusts are a great exercise to include in your routine.”

She Does Russian Twists

Another exercise that Sanon is seen doing in her Instagram video is Russian twists with a weight. Gymless says that this exercise is very beneficial. “Russian Twists are a great exercise that develops all parts of your core, especially the obliques, it also targets the shoulders and hips. This exercise involves rotating your torso from side-to-side while maintaining a sit up position with your feet off the ground. This rotational movement often occurs in sports, which makes it a popular exercise amongst athletes. It is speculated that this was developed during the Cold War by the former Soviet Union as a training exercise for the Russian Soldiers.”

She Uses A Stationary Bike

Sanon also shared this workout video on Instagram. In it, she is seen using a stationary bike. Penn State PRO Wellness reports that stationary bike workouts have a lot of health benefits. “Riding a stationary bike can help build strength in your legs and lower body, especially if you use a higher resistance. The pedaling action can help strengthen your calves, hamstrings, and quadriceps. Additionally, it can work the muscles in your core, back, and glutes.”

Whether she’s cooking up homemade meals, breaking a sweat, or showing off a fresh new look, she’s all about feeling her best from the inside out. De Bortoli recently changed her hair color. She explained why in the caption of this Instagram post. “The good thing about this color is that it does not require frequent touch-ups and it easily adapts to natural hair growth, it is versatile and can enhance any body and face shape 🧡for those who are tired of blonde or brown, bronde is the solution to change harmony without distortion 🤍for those who have a fair complexion, the most golden tone is recommended 🤎 for the dark complexion, on the other hand, more ash brown ❤️ 🔥what can I say... For me the bronde conquered, and what do you think?”

She Cooks

De Bortoli likes to cook, and she was taught to do so by her grandmother. She shared this video on Instagram of herself and her grandmother cooking together. De Bortoli captioned it, “Grandparents are wealth in society, my grandmother loves to cook and do it with her since I was a child. She has always inspired my creativity, patience, discipline and order but above all traditions, history, and the concreteness of nature's gifts. The greatest teaching my grandparents passed on to me is respect for people, the environment, animals and the kitchen... Today together we made Carnival Frittelle, an easy, quick dessert that adults and kids love. The ingredients are few and simple (but of high quality) and, trust me, the result is guaranteed: nice round but above all soft and tasty.”

She Works Her Abs

De Bortoli shared this video of herself working out on Instagram. In it, she is seen doing core exercises like sit-ups. Core exercises are extremely important. The Mayo Clinic says, “Strong core muscles make it easier to do many activities. When your core muscles are strong, it's easier to swing a golf club, get a glass from the top shelf and bend down to tie your shoes. Strong core muscles help athletes, such as runners. That's because weak core muscles can lead to more fatigue, less endurance and injuries.”

In the previous Instagram video, De Bortoli is seen working out with a friend. Better Health says that this has a lot of benefits. “You’re less likely to get bored when you have a workout buddy, especially a friend. While you’re catching up, having a laugh, encouraging each other, you’re also getting healthier. It’s a win-win. Chatting to a friend during exercise and breaks can help time pass quickly too. You’ll have more options as well, such as a game of tennis or squash.”

Kristin Cavallari is a reality TV and fashion icon. Since she debuted on Laguna Beach, people have clamoured for her fashion and beauty secrets. Cavallari recently shared her eye makeup secrets on Instagram, after several people asked for them. She captioned the post, “This is for the girlies in my DMs asking about this eye every time I do it. Sorry the lighting is awful. I also don’t know why the audio isn’t in sync for half of it 🫣 but here ya go 💗”

She's Less Strict With Her Diet

Cavallari has written several cookbooks, and they have changed as her diet has changed. While promoting her book, Truly Simple with EatingWell, she revealed that her diet is less strict. “I've gotten to a point in my life where not everything has to be so perfect anymore,” Cavallari said. “I used to be so strict about what I was putting in my body. I'm still very healthy and very conscious of it, but I've gotten a little bit more lax. True Roots and True Comfort had nothing ‘white’ in them: no white flour, no white sugar, no white salt. But in Truly Simple, I bend a little bit in a few of the recipes, which really reflects where I am in my life and my new way of eating. Everything is a little bit more relaxed around here now.’

She Loves Cauliflower

Cavallari tells EatingWell that she loves making foods with cauliflower. “I love cauliflower because I think it's very versatile, and there's actually a Sweet Harissa Cauliflower recipe in Truly Simple that's my absolute favorite cauliflower recipe on the planet. If you've ever been to True Food Kitchen, their cauliflower was the inspiration behind it. There's this sweet harissa dressing that's on it, and there's little chopped-up dates in it, so it has that nice balance between sweet and savory. It's the absolute best.”

She Loves Salad

Cavallari likes to make salads. She shared one of her favorite recipes with EatingWell. “This salad has a few of my favorite things: salmon (which has omega-3s and is so, so good for you), bacon (no explanation needed), avocado (healthy fats), and spicy tomatillo ranch dressing (just yum). Together, they create culinary heaven. If you aren't familiar with tomatillos, they're similar to tomatoes but are slightly less sweet and are perfect when drenched in ranch.”

She Works With A Trainer

Cavallari tells Us Weekly that a lot of her gym sessions are with her personal trainer. “He kicks my ass,” she says. “He pushes me really hard. He has me actually lifting really heavy weight, the heaviest weight I’ve ever lifted in my entire life. I feel the best I ever have. I feel like I’m the strongest I’ve ever been.”

She Shared Her Eye Makeup Trick

Cavallari shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Us Weekly. She says that consistency is one of her biggest priorities. “My goal is sort of, right now, just to maintain the muscle that I have,” she says. “I’m really petite. I have no hips. I’m just small. And so if I don’t work out for like a week or two, I feel like all my muscle goes away. So it is about consistency for me.”
