Toni Braxton in Skimpy Swimsuit Says “Sun Is Shining”

Toni Braxton is heating up Jamaica in her skimpy swimsuit. In a new social media post, the 57-year-old singer looks sensational in a sultry Instagram video, showing off her ageless figure in a barely-there bathing suit. “The sun is shining,” she captioned the clip. How does the Grammy Award-winning singer make 57 look like 27? Here is everything to know about her top diet and fitness habits.
Plant-Based Diet
Toni revealed to Prevention that tries to avoid animal products. “I’m becoming plant-based. I’m in the process,” she told them, revealing that she weaned herself off of meat and became a pescatarian. “But I’m going fully plant-based. It’s making me feel better, so there is some truth it.”
Daily Exercise
Braxton exercises daily. “I work out every day, every single day, seven days a week,” she told Healthy Living. “If I do cardio, I work on my treadmill. I walk 40 minutes on my treadmill every single day. I’m very lucky, because as a singer, we always use our force. It’s like nature’s sit-ups for singers, but I work out every day.”
Listening to Her Body
Braxton, who was diagnosed with Lupus in 2008, was in and out of the hospital for months. “I remember having to tell my kids that I have lupus. It was difficult,” she told Prevention. Due to the autoimmune disorder, she has to be incredibly strict about her diet, especially when she has to take steroids to treat it. “I may have lupus, but I decided I was not going to be a victim,” she says. “Now, I listen to my body,” she said.
No Weight Struggles
Braxton claims she has never really struggled with her weight. “I’ve been very lucky. Never had a struggle with weight prior to my illness. Being on steroids, I never had a problem with that,” she told Healthy Living.
Half Glass of Wine Every Night
Toni’s top health tip? Drinking wine every night – in moderation. “This is old school, but what works for me is I take a half a glass of wine every night. It heals everything. Some people take Robitussin pills every night. I take a half a glass of wine, a nightcap, every night. Not a lot: just a little bit. It keeps my blood thin. It keeps my motion going. It keeps me clear-headed. I just think it’s nature’s tonic,” she told Healthy Living.
Morning Elixir
Braxton starts the day with a concoction of “hot water, lemon, and a sprig or two of mint in there,” she revealed to Healthy Living. “I have two cups of that almost every day, at least four days a week. Keeps the pipes going, keeps my skin feeling great, gives me energy in the morning without making me feel anxiety.”
