She Makes Exercise A Priority
Tyla shared some of her wellness secrets in an interview with Women’s Health. “I prioritise exercise over everything,” she revealed. “I’m learning that I can always make time for myself and my body. Usually when I travel, I like staying at a hotel with a gym closeby or one with a gym on its premises.” Tyla also shared some of her favorite workouts. “I also enjoy working doing group pilates, lifting weights, going for a walk and hiking. These help take me out of work mode.
She Dances
Tyla has to learn choreography for her live performances and videos. She revealed to Women’s Health that her rehearsals are pretty intense. “I love to dance. When I’m preparing for a show, we’ll schedule a week of dance rehearsals that last up to two hours or more. I’m pretty active in that sense!”
She Eats Healthy
Tyla makes sure to eat healthy, and broke down her typical diet to Women’s Health. “I like a light breakfast because I hate feeling heavy in the morning. I usually have chia pudding or jungle oats or bacon/sausage and bread for breakfast. And oh, a ginger shot is a must – it wakes me up! I’m not big on lunch but when I do have a moment to sit down, I like a wrap or sandwich. Supper is where I go in hard with a warm meal, usually pasta or a stew with rice. Throughout the day, I snack on either cashews, seaweed or pistachios.”
She’s Learning How To Take Care Of Her Skin
Tyla has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it. However, she revealed to Vogue that she recently learned how to do so. “I was really not a skincare girl. I used to watch YouTube videos and everything of people having skincare routines and everything, but we didn’t really have all those products in South Africa. So I was literally just a baby soap, and any lotion kind of girl. I started being more careful with my skin and making sure that I take care of it, because I have to wear makeup, and everything when I perform.”
She Makes Time For Herself
For Tyla, having alone time is necessary for her mental health. “I’m surrounded by people a lot of the time and it can become a bit much sometimes,” she said to Women’s Health. “So, I love my alone time. I love taking long baths or showers, with some candles burning and music in the background.”
