Una Healy is still in summer mode in her swimsuit. In a new social media post the Irish singer, who turned 42 this week, flaunts her insanely fit figure in a tiny bathing suit while taking a walk on the beach. “October is the new Summer,” she captioned the Instagram post. “Gorgeous,” commented one of her followers. “Happy birthday and as stunning as ever,” added another. How does the star manage to look half her age? Celebwell rounded up her top lifestyle tips.
1. Lift Weights
Una is all about pumping iron, which helps her build muscle. She does “lots of weights” she revealed during an interview with RTE, “and I try to keep the cardio going alongside strength and conditioning," she added. "I walk away in my mind feeling healthier and better. It's so good for the endorphins."
2. Move Every Day
Una suggests moving daily. "I try to do something every day. I've really gotten into fitness in the last year. I hate starting the day without exercise now, but I will give myself a Sunday off sometimes,” she told RTE. "I do a lot of road running, usually around 5K.”
3. Take Group Fitness Classes

Una enjoys getting her sweat on with others. "I do gym classes too, like Body Pump, Body Combat and Spin. There's virtual Spin at my gym which is really fun!" she told RTE.
4. Motivate Yourself

Una has mastered the art of self-motivation. "You have to keep going really. You can easily get lazy but I find the more you do it, the more you want to do it," she told RTE about the importance of motivation. "I know how happy it makes me feel when I work out so I'd rather have that feeling all day."
5. Indulge on Occasion
Una eats healthy most of the time, but will indulge in the occasional cheat meal. I never used to have so much of a sweet tooth, I was always one to say that I don't like chocolate, but now that I've been exercising so much I'll give myself a little treat like a biscuit or a chocolate bar every other day," she dished to RTE.
6. Eat a Plant-Focused Diet
Una tries to maintain a plant focused diet, with a little added animal protein. "I'm a bit of a 'meat and two veg' kind of person, so I'm not on any kind of vegan or vegetarian diet. I still eat meat – but not too much of it," she told RTE. "I'll have days where I eat vegan or veggie."
7. Swim
Una loves to swim. “Earlier this year, I took up cold water swimming. I swim either at the coast or in lakes and have got the bug for it! The first time I did it, I thought, ‘what am I doing? This is horrible. It’s so cold.’ Whereas now it just feels invigorating. When you’re immersed in cold water, your body goes into fight or flight mode and is flooded with cortisol, followed by endorphins,” she told Top Sante.
