And we do really base our life around the Bible. And so, we are big followers of Christ, and really do what we do to glorify God and the gifts that he's given us. I think he's gifted me with a voice. And I think he's gifted my husband in other ways, which is why we do music together.”

She revealed to Niagara Falls Publications that her parents helped her develop this attitude. “I'm originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and I have two very hard-working parents who have always had multiple jobs my entire life. So, I think my parents definitely instilled a hard-working characteristic in myself, as well, and I don't take things for granted. And I know that people would die to be doing what I do, and be able to do this job.”

After having her first child, Barrett revealed in an interview that she started eating healthier. “I don’t know, I guess being a mom…I really haven’t gotten the chance to, like, eat all the junk food that I was eating,” she says. “So I guess it really just cut [the weight] out in my face and all around the place! I thankfully was able to kind of like shed some weight quickly and get off all the baby weight and I feel good. I dunno, I’m thankful for that — that my body kinda was able to snap back and be healthier than it was before, even after having a baby, and quickly, after that. So I can thank, I guess, my 21-year-old metabolism for that!”

Twilight star Ashley Greene is giving fans a glimpse at the highlights of her year so far. Greene, 36, shared several pictures of herself and family, including one of the star wearing black leggings and a purple workout top, looking fresh-faced and very toned. “Life lately,” she captioned the post, adding the word “commitment” for her workout selfie. Greene previously talked about her love for Rise Nation workouts in Los Angeles. “Mentally, for me, it’s so important. It really keeps me kind of sharp and focused,” she told Women’s Health. “I kind of alternate between doing the Versa classes and strength training and I’m waiting for the day that I can do them both in one day! It’s always that thing where, even when I don’t go to the gym, if I’m just sweating and being active – even if it’s not an intense session – I always feel so much better and things are much more organized in my head.”

Greene eats to fuel her workouts. “I used to have to have breakfast, but it was, like, yogurt,” she told Women’s Health. “Now I have to have two pieces of wholegrain toast and almond butter, honey and bananas on top. That would bother some people because it’s got a decent amount of fat, but you have to recognise that it’s fuel; it doesn’t matter if I’m putting calories and fat into my body – I need it to do the type of strength training that I like to do.”

3. Postpartum Fitness

Greene was careful about jumping back into her workout routine after welcoming daughter Kingsley Rainn in September 2022. "I wanted to feel fully back into my body… I really wanted to focus on making sure that I gave myself enough rest for everything to go back into place, and made sure that I wasn't trying to jump back into where I was and hurting myself," she told PEOPLE. "I feel like there's this idea that you are cleared after eight weeks and you can just jump back in, and that is so far from the case. I think it's really damaging to a lot of people.”

4. Learning Self-Confidence

Greene has learned to become comfortable and confident in her own skin. “I don't know that I've ever met someone who hasn't had some type of insecure moment or stage,” she told HuffPost. “You're growing and you're learning, and some days are good and some are bad. I'm definitely the most comfortable in my skin than I've ever been. I understand that a lot of things aren't the end of the world.”

Greene and husband Paul Khory opened their own gym NexGen Fitness in Sherman Oaks, CA, and she is thrilled her daughter will grow up being familiar with the place. “She was just running around this place that holds so much importance to all of us,” she told PEOPLE. “She’ll grow up understanding and have such a toolbox for mental health and physical fitness and reproductive rights, and that’s such a cool thing to be able to give all that to your daughter. She says that she does a lot of cardio workouts, and aims to do them four times a week. “For me it’s really important to keep up my cardio,” she says. “I run, ride my bike (both outside) and I take spin class. I try to get a good cardio workout in at least four times a week.”

For me, once I started to count every calorie, I realized how much I was eating that I didn’t account for. Keep a food journal and make sure to eat as healthy as possible and have a good breakfast.”

Sweeney has a busy schedule, but she always makes sure to stay in shape. She tells People that when she doesn’t have a lot of time, she does really intense workouts. “I’ve learned that I get a good intense, short workout by running sprints on the treadmill. It’s not always about distance – a workout is about the intensity you put into it. So when I don’t have a lot of time, I really focus my energy and go really hardcore – run 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off for several minutes. Then I do a similar intensity doing burpees (pushup, jump to your feet, and then jump in the air, then back down to pushup).”

Sweeney revealed to New Beauty that she likes to keep her kitchen stocked with healthy foods. “Preparation is key. I don’t have time every day to wash fruit, chop vegetables or go to the market, so I really focus on having only healthy options readily available, from stocking my refrigerator with great fruits and raw vegetables to having raw nuts in the pantry and planning ahead as much as possible. She doesn’t just jump on her mini JumpSport trampoline, she does kicks, jumps, and knee raises, alternating leg extensions and lunges, and lower abdominal crunches and leg and hip exercises. "Saturday workouts are better with a trampoline," she recently captioned an image of her workout. "Oh my god this feels amazing," she said while jumping. "It actually feels better on my knees." Dr. Fatima Cody Stanford, M.D., an obesity medicine physician and educator specializing in the care of adults, adolescents, and children, who's working with JumpSport Fitness to encourage the healthy habit of daily movement through their Maintain Your Weight campaign, explains that trampolines are low impact on joints. She and trainer Melissa Alcantara focus on long, strength training sessions to maintain Kim’s famous figure. "When it comes to booty and legs, we usually work out for an hour and a half to an hour and 45 minutes," Alcantara told Women's Health about their twice a week lower body workouts.
