Vikings Star Maude Hirst in Two-Piece Workout Gear Says "Move to Shift Your Energy"
Maude Hirst is moving – in her workout clothes. In a new social media post the Vikings star turned meditation coach gives her followers a glimpse at her workout methods while sharing about the importance of movement. "MOVE TO SHIFT YOUR ENERGY🤍Last week I committed to move my body everyday – not to get fit but to shift my energy and change my mood and it's having a huge impact," she captioned the post. She suggests the following workouts: "walk in nature, dance around your kitchen, go for a cold water swim, do a yoga practice, just shake it out," she writes. "Any kind of movement that feels delicious in your body. Move your body and your mood will shift with it. Are you in?" How does the star approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
Daily Meditation
"I meditate every day without fail," Maude told Hip and Healthy. "The times where I have missed a meditation, I notice a huge difference in my productivity and energy levels. It's like Pringles, once you start meditating, you just can't stop." "When you meditate, you may clear away the information overload that builds up every day and contributes to your stress," says the Mayo Clinic. Benefits include:
- Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations
- Building skills to manage your stress
- Increasing self-awareness
- Focusing on the present
- Reducing negative emotions
- Increasing imagination and creativity
- Increasing patience and tolerance
- Lowering resting heart rate
- Lowering resting blood pressure
- Improving sleep quality
Chocolate
Maude has one guilty pleasure. "CHOCOLATE! Praline flavoured preferably. I sometimes get sudden sugar lows or 'hangry' as my friends would call it and chocolate seems to be the best remedy. Not sure it can really be a guilty pleasure… it's certainly pleasurable but I'm not sure I'm too guilty about it! Yum!" she told Hip and Healthy.
Tea
"Sipping a cup of 'nighttime' tea while de-briefing my day and thoughts with my partner," is Maude's nightly ritual. "I feel like I'm a nocturnal animal, often coming up with my best ideas at night. Including the concept for my online meditation platform 'Meditation with Maude', combining my love for connecting with people and sharing the benefits of meditation with them."
Bicycle
Maude enjoys cycling. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.
Yoga
"I used to dance, gym train, circuit train and run but recently I have found that doing a power yoga class is the best way to stretch me out while toning me up. It also makes me feel great internally too. Win, win," she says about her favorite workout.
