Virginia Gardner is a successful actress. She is known for her roles in Marvel’s Runaways, Fall, Beautiful Disaster and the sequel, Beautiful Wedding. On New Year’s Eve, she shared highlights from the year on Instagram. In them, Gardner is seen in the pool, on a boat, and playing with her dogs, among other things. She captioned it, “2024 dump.”
She Swims
In her Instagram post, Gardner is seen swimming in a pool. The Mayo Clinic states that swimming has a lot of benefits. “Swimming is often touted as a great workout for all ages, offering benefits not only for the body, but also for the mind. As a form of exercise, swimming keeps your heart rate up and builds muscle strength. It also can be a great form of stress relief.”
She Hikes
Gardner likes to hike to stay in shape. She included a photo of herself hiking in the desert in this Instagram post. Gardner captioned the post, “Good times were had in the desert.” Harvard Health states that hiking is very beneficial. “A rigorous hike may offer many of the same physical benefits as interval training, which alternates low- and high-intensity exercise to increase cardiovascular fitness. During a hike, your heart rate goes up as you move up an incline and drops when you head downhill.”
She Prepares For Roles
In an interview with Pop Culturalist, Gardner talked about preparing for her role in Beautiful Disaster. “Generally, I do read the source material. I always make sure to collect as much information as I can before taking on a role, but this was different because I knew we were going to be doing a pretty big departure from the books. Abby in the books is very different from the Abby on screen. I didn’t want to get too tied to anything that was in the books, and I didn’t want to fall in love with that version of the character. It would have made it hard for me to play this new version of the character. In this particular instance, I just worked very closely with Roger to create the version of the character that you see on screen. I wanted it to feel fresh, and we wanted to take a story that was written ten years ago and make it feel a bit more 2023-friendly.”
She Has Dogs
In her Instagram post, Gardner is seen playing with her dogs. She also shared this set of photos on her page of herself with her dog. Gardner captioned the post, “So much puppy love and so little time.” Harvard Health states that owning a dog has a lot of benefits. “Ongoing research is showing that the health benefits of owning a dog are undeniable. Dog owners have lower blood pressure and healthier cholesterol levels, and a lower risk of heart disease, than non-owners.”
