She Ignores What People Say
Lohan has been in the public eye since she was young. She tells Cosmopolitan that she has learned to ignore what people think of her. "You have to take everything people say with a grain of salt and just be you. And slow down, because everyone's so quick right now. People just don't stop. You've got to chill."
She Has Support
Lohan tells Cosmopolitan that she has a lot of supportive people around her. "I have an amazing husband, who's a very calm person," she says. "Just the best. And my family. And I feel like I have a small group of good friends who are just really good people. That's the only support that I really need: friends, family, and loved ones."
She Cooks
Lohan loves to cook. She shared some of her favorite recipes with Cosmopolitan. "I cook a lot. I follow this @EatingHealthyToday Instagram and they do these really great healthy meals. I cook a lot of Italian. I do a lot of pastas. I do a lot of an Arabic dish called machboos. It's chicken with rice and vegetables. I do a really good borscht soup."
She Gets Enough Sleep
Lohan shared her wellness secrets in her Cosmopolitan interview. She says that she makes sure to get enough sleep each night. "I need my seven to eight hours of sleep. When I'm filming, I can get away with six sometimes if we have really early calls, but I like my sleep and feel better when I get it."
She Runs
Lohan tells Cosmopolitan that she likes to run to stay in shape. "I love running on treadmills; it's my favorite way to just release." PIH Health states that running has a lot of benefits. "Running strengthens your heart, lowers your resting heart rate, and reduces your risk of cardiovascular disease. This aerobic activity has been shown to boost your immune system. One study showed that people who ran at least 5 days a week lowered their chance of getting an upper respiratory tract infection by 43%."
She Meditates
Lohan tells Cosmopolitan that she likes to meditate. "I meditate in the mornings. I meditate in the shower, actually." The Mayo Clinic states that meditation has a lot of benefits. "Meditation can give you a sense of calm, peace and balance that can benefit your emotional well-being and your overall health. You also can use it to relax and cope with stress by focusing on something that calms you. Meditation can help you learn to stay centered and keep inner peace."
She Takes Care Of Her Skin
Lohan tells Into The Gloss that she makes sure to take care of her skin. "I like Dove Body Wash—it's easy and simple, there's nothing bad added to it. I also use baby oil, which I like to put on at the end. Then I always use the Skyn Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels for de-puffing. It just feels refreshing in the morning. Sometimes I like wearing the SK-II Facial Treatment Masks, which look really creepy. Arcona Triad Pads are my favorite for cleansing. The smell is really good and it works like an exfoliator, too. And then I rinse with cold water."
