Wednesday Star Naomi J. Ogawa Shares Swimsuit Video of "Inner Mermaids"

The skincare products she swears by.

Wednesday star Naomi J. Ogawa, who plays Yoko Tanaka on the show, enjoyed a very romantic trip with boyfriend Jason Wong in September, and posted the highlights on her social media. Ogawa, 27, shared pictures of the trip, plus a video of her diving into a pool in a red bikini. "Adventures, food and channeling our inner mermaids 🧜🏻‍♀️ with @officially_wong 🤍," she captioned the post. "My partner in crime 🖤," Wong commented. Here's what Ogawa's wellness regimen looks like.

1

She's a Personal Trainer

Ogawa is a certified personal trainer, and hopes to use those skills on set some day. "Yoko didn't have major stunts, so I didn't have to focus on her physicality," she says. "I am very athletic though, and would love to play a part where I have to train and challenge myself physically in the future."

Reality TV

Ogawa winds down with candles and reality TV. "The first thing I like to do is take a shower to wash off the day," she says. "Then I'll pop on a few candles and cook a healthy meal. I'm guilty of watching TV whilst I eat. So, If I've had a long day, I'll typically watch reality television like The Real Housewives of New Jersey. I don't know why but I just love rewatching old episodes and reliving the drama. I'm also trying this new habit where I switch off my phone at around 9pm so that I can disconnect from technology and before bed, I like to wind down by reading a book."

Beauty Routine

Ogawa doesn't mind spending money on skincare if it's worth it. "I like to keep my beauty routine very simple," she says. "When it comes to skincare, I like using a gentle cleanser and if I feel like my skin needs some more TLC, I'll pop on a hydrating face mask. It's so easy to get carried away with using a bunch of different creams and serums but I like to stick to two that work for my skin type. I use the SkinCeuticals redness neutraliser and Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream. They're a bit of a splurge but they honestly work wonders for my skin and a small amount of product goes a long way."

Family Feeling

Ogawa loved how close the Wednesday cast became. "We all got on," she says. "We all laughed on set; we just had the best time together. I think what really surprised people was how much we gelled together so well. It really felt like a nice little family. We'd go out for meals, whenever we were exhausted on set, we would act very silly and just try and find ways to make each other laugh. I loved that we were all very supportive of each other because it was a very difficult environment with you know, with COVID. I think the fact that we were all just there for each other was amazing."

Silk Scrunchies

Ogawa is careful with her skin as it can occasionally become problematic. "I'm obsessed with pimple patches as I have acne prone skin," she says. "The minute I see a spot emerging, I pop a sticker on to not even give it a chance of life. If I feel like my face is puffy, I like to Gua Sha my face and give it a little massage to get the circulation going and give myself a little lymphatic drainage. I do love to keep my skin moisturized, so after I take a shower I lotion up my body with e45 cream. I always put my hair up in a bun using my silk hair scrunchies that my friend gifted me (thank you Pria) as I like to keep my hair out of my face when I sleep."
