Witney Carson is a professional dancer. She first made waves in 2012, when she competed on the ninth season of So You Think You Can Dance. Carson finished in the top 6, and went on tour with the cast. The following year, she joined Dancing With The Stars as a member of the troupe. Carson was promoted to pro for the show’s 18th season, and she won the show’s 19th season with her partner, Alfonso Ribeiro. Carson recently shared a video on Instagram of what she typically eats in a day.
She Loves Bananas
ShutterstockCarson is seen making a smoothie with bananas in her Instagram video. According to The Cleveland Clinic, bananas have a lot of health benefits. “With 3 grams (g) of fiber, a banana supplies nearly 10% of what you need in a day, based on a 2,000-calorie daily diet, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) dietary guidelines. You hear ‘fiber’ and probably automatically think of digestion. It’s true — fiber is great for your gut. It helps keep things moving in your intestines, and most of us probably need to eat more.”

According to Jamaica Hospital, it has a lot of health benefits. “Some health benefits of coconut milk are: Lowers blood pressure and cholesterol. Builds muscle and helps reduce fat. Is rich in electrolytes and can prevent fatigue. Can assist in weight loss. Improves digestion. Relieves constipation.”

For lunch, Carson is seen enjoying quinoa in her Instagram video. The Cleveland Clinic states that quinoa has a lot of health benefits. “Quinoa is a nutrient-dense food, meaning ounce for ounce, you get high amounts of vitamins and minerals. By contrast, foods that are considered nutrient-poor, like fried foods or processed snacks, tend to be high in calories without a lot of nutritional value.”
She Loves Cucumbers
Carson is also seen enjoying cucumbers in her Instagram video. According to The Cleveland Clinic, cucumbers have a lot of benefits. “Cucumbers are high in vitamin K — a big bonus for bone health. Getting enough dietary vitamin K reduces your risk of bone fractures and promotes healthy bone mass. If your bone mineral density is low, it raises your risk for osteoporosis. The combination of vitamin K and calcium in cucumbers provides added bone benefits. Vitamin K helps your body absorb calcium, an essential nutrient for building and maintaining strong bones.”
She Loves Tomatoes
Another food that Carson is seen enjoying in her Instagram video is tomatoes. UCLA Health states that tomatoes have a lot of benefits. “They are a rich source of lycopene, a potent antioxidant. They also contain abundant phytochemicals, flavonoids and nutrients such as folate, vitamin K and vitamin C. A diet that includes tomatoes has been linked to a reduced risk of heart disease, improved blood sugar control and a lower risk of some cancers.”
