She Does Martial Arts
Being a wrestler means that James has to know how to fight. In order to do that, she has to know martial arts. USMartialArts.org states that martial arts have a lot of benefits. "Mastering techniques requires a lot of concentration! This enhances your ability to concentrate in all areas of your life as well. For kids, they often start focusing better in school very quickly. Teachers and parents notice the difference. For adults, they find themselves being more productive and focused at work, and achieving greater things."
She Goes Fishing
James spends a lot of time by the water. One thing she enjoys doing is going on fishing trips. She shared these photos on Instagram of herself on a trip in Tampa. In them, James holds up several fish she caught. She captioned the post, "Trophy fish for this future trophy wife."
She Swims
Another thing James does to stay in shape is going swimming. She shares a lot of photos on Instagram of herself in the water. James posted these photos of herself wading in the ocean with a cocktail. The CDC reports that swimming has a lot of benefits. "Swimming can improve mood in both men and women. For people with fibromyalgia, swimming can decrease anxiety, and exercise therapy in warm water can decrease depression and improve mood."
She Gets Some Sun
"UV exposure is the primary method of boosting serum vitamin D levels, which accounts for numerous health benefits. Higher levels of vitamin D are associated with protection against cancer development, including melanoma. Latitude, season, skin color, and sun protection determine UV absorption and vitamin D production," says NIH. Just be sure not to get sunburnt. "Increasing UV exposure without causing sunburn maximizes vitamin D production."
And Of Course, She Wrestles!
"Balance, strength, coordination, and overall body awareness is fundamental in having success in the sport. Year after year kids will start practice with gymnastics, calisthenics, and activities that develop these skills. It provides a foundation of athleticism," says the NWHOF, which gets kids ready for the sport. "As an individual sport the only person responsible for success or failure is the individual themselves. Wrestling teaches self-awareness and how to be responsible for your actions. What you put in is what you get out."
