WWE's Asuka in Two-Piece Workout Gear is "The Meme Empress"
Asuka is getting her meme on in her workout gear. In a new social media post the WWE fighter flaunts her amazing body in exercise clothes, driving her followers into a frenzy. "Asuka the meme empress," commented one of her followers. "You are so beautiful Kanako," added another. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
Fighting the Media
Asuka isn't afraid to battle the media. "The media could not bring me down when I came to America. They must have really wanted me to fail. I am used to it because I have been fighting my critics alone since my days in Japan. But now that I am here, I have comrades in arms. Charlotte, Becky, HHH, and… I've walked alone in the wilderness all my life, and here I have an oasis. To the Asuka antis, I say, beat me up on the Internet all you want. I grab everything," she tweeted. "When I became champion, one media outlet asked wrestling fans, 'Do you think it is good enough to be champion? Do you think it deserves to be champion?' Compare me to other people. Do you think my abilities are inferior? Can you believe that? I was always fighting that media all by myself."
Following Her Dreams
Asuka followed her dreams and advises others to do so too. "I want to say to Asian girls, don't give up on your dreams! When I was 16, I wanted to be a WWE superstar. One day I asked my mom can I be a WWE superstar, and she said, 'No, you have to go college! I also told my high school teacher, 'I want to be a WWE superstar.' She laughed and said, 'Don't be silly.' I was shocked. I had no choice. I gave up on my dream once. I went to college and after graduating from college, I started training. I couldn't give up on my dream. My friends gave me confidence, 'You can do it, you can do it!' I called a wrestling company in Tokyo. I left my hometown of Osaka, Japan. Now I am a WWE superstar. Don't give up on your dream!" she told Pro Wrestling.
Japanese Food
"I love Japanese culture such as anime and manga, cards and video games. I also love Japanese food such as sushi, sashimi, sukiyaki, takoyaki. I love beautiful nature. Some American people tell me they love Japanese anime such as 'Dragon Ball', 'Naruto'. I'm proud of being Japanese," she told Pro Wrestling. "You must try sukiyaki. Sukiyaki is so delicious! It's sliced beef and soy sauce and sugar and tofu, vegetables. Oh! So good!"
Dancing
In her recent meme compilation, you can see Asuka dancing. Dancing is a great workout for many reasons. Not only does it build strength and promote flexibility, but helps you lose weight and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop heart disease or die from it than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues.
Martial Arts
Asuka is known for her unique fighting style, a combination of elements from Japanese wrestling and martial arts. Studies confirm that the practice helps with balance, cognitive function and psychological health in addition to weight loss and physical fitness.
