Kate Ferdinand decided to spend her holidays at the beach with her family. And from her most recent Instagram post, it seems like they had a great time. The reality star—and wife of soccer star Rio Ferdinand—posted a series of photos on Instagram of herself enjoying the weather and beach with her family. She Swims

While Kate was at the beach, she naturally spent a lot of time in the water. In her Instagram post, Ferdinand is seen swimming with her kids in the water, and snorkeling. “Swimming is often touted as a great workout for all ages, offering benefits not only for the body, but also for the mind. As a form of exercise, swimming keeps your heart rate up and builds muscle strength. It also can be a great form of stress relief,” says the Mayo Clinic.

She Avoids Temptation

Kate has a book about her fitness and wellness secrets. In it, she wrote about how she avoids temptation, specifically unhealthy snacks. “There are often naughty snacks in the house for the kids but I keep them in a high cupboard out of reach of both the kids and me,” she writes

She Saves Her Kids’ Leftovers

In her book, Ferdinand explains that she used to eat her kids’ leftovers from dinner. “Leftovers are tempting. I’d used to have my dinner and then mindlessly pick at whatever the kids had left as well.” Now, she writes that she saves them for the next day. “Now if the kids leave food on their plates, I’ll put anything salvageable straight in the fridge then I’ll throw the rest away immediately so I’m not tempted to pick.”

She Incorporates Veggies In Her Dinner

In her book, Kate revealed that while she’s not a big fan of veggies, she does try to eat them as often as she can. She says that she likes to incorporate them into her dinners, writing, “I really don’t like greens so I chop them up and mix them in with my rice so it doesn’t feel so difficult eating them.”

She Takes Days Off

Kate has a reputation for being a gym rat and living a healthy lifestyle at all times. However, the TOWIE star tells The Daily Star that she does take days off from working out, and that she never feels bad about doing so. “I love working out, I love feeling active and it’s really good for my mind, but I also have a day off and I don’t beat myself up about it. I don’t cry if I don’t do it.”
