1

View Exercise As Self-Care

Christina focuses on the mental health benefits of exercise just as much as the physical. "Exercise is my stress reliever," she told People. "There is nothing like a good three-mile run for me to really clear my head and get my endorphins going."

2

Go Running

Christina revealed to Country Living that she loves running. "I usually take my French bulldog [Cash] for a three-mile jog in my neighborhood," she said. "It takes about 30 minutes — it's a great workout. It keeps me in shape and I feel like it helps clear my head for the day."

3

Be Consistent

Christina maintains that one of the keys to fitness success is maintaining regularity. "I'm a creature of habit," she told Country Living.

4

Try an Orangetheory Class

Christina is a proponent of a particular workout with studios nationwide. "I discovered Orangetheory and I'm totally hooked!" she told People. "It combines running, which is my favorite workout, with weight training, which I never do on my own. It goes by super quickly and is always challenging. And it helped to get me in the best shape of my 30s!"

5

Eat Clean and Organic

Christina maintains a "very clean, organic diet," she revealed to People. She limits gluten and dairy. "I eat five small meals a day that usually consist of overnight oats for breakfast, a green juice for a snack, salad with a protein for lunch, granola bar as a snack and then a healthy dinner of chicken or salmon and veggies, tacos or vegan chili. For a little dessert, I love Justin's Organic Mini Peanut Butter Cups — delish!"

6

Focus On Daily, Light Exercise

"You don't need to work out for hours at a time every day to see great results; your body knows best when it comes to choosing what type of exercise to do; and exercise isn't just about physical transformation," Christina explains in her book, recommending walking or yoga and pilates classes. "Since I started scaling back, I have felt way better. I still get the benefits of exercise — mental and physical — and even though I'm working out way less often and with less intensity, I still wear the same size clothes."

7

Make Water Accessible

In order to drink the recommended 80 ounces of water per day suggested by Clark, Christina has a hack. "For me, the key is to make it easily accessible all day long," she explains. "I keep a giant bottle of water with me at all times so I can chug some before I leave for work, while I'm on set, and again on my way home. I also make sure it's the only thing I'm drinking during the day."
