She Got A Home Gym
During lockdown in 2020, Healy revealed to her followers that she had changed her workout routine. She revealed on her Instagram story that she had built a home gym to stay in shape while gyms were closed. "So you all know how much I love working out especially now with lockdown and everything it got us all a bit more into fitness or else we would lose our minds basically. So I actually decided to get a home gym. It's very easy for you to achieve this at home as well because it's just minimal equipment."
She Strength Trains
Healy posted a series of videos on Instagram going through one of her fitness circuits. In the videos, she revealed that she likes to lift weights and do strength training exercises. She is seen doing dumbbell thrusters, kettlebell swings, and sumo high pulls with a kettlebell.
She Doesn't Diet
After having her first child in 2013, Healy opened up about her weight loss process to Cosmopolitan. She said that when it comes to food, she avoids restrictive and fad diets. Healy says that she focuses on eating healthy, as it is easier and more effective. "I'm not into any fad eating regimes, I just eat well and avoid bad foods," she said, "Loads of these 'celeb diets' require strange foods that you have to go searching for – not ideal."
She Doesn't Feel Pressure To Lose Weight
Being in the public eye, there can be a lot of pressure to lose weight and maintain a certain figure. Especially for a woman after she's had a baby. However, Healy told Cosmopolitan that she didn't succumb to that pressure after becoming a mom. She encourages other women to do the same, saying, "When new mums who are in the public eye lose weight, it's not always realistic. In real life, it's not advisable to drop two dress sizes overnight. New mums have to take it in their own time. The most important focus for a new mum is her baby – you just have to be quite selfless and not think of yourself as much."
She's Motivated To Work Out
Healy opened up about her wellness routine and secrets in an interview with RTE. She revealed how she stays motivated to consistently work out, saying, "You have to keep going really.
