Plant-Based Diet
The Masked Singer judge broke down her diet in a 2020 interview with People and revealed she eats a lot of plant-based foods. Melissa Mitri, a Registered Dietitian for FinvsFin.com says, "A plant-based diet is loaded with beneficial nutrients like vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Fiber is essential for weight loss and supports a strong heart. Many plant-based foods are also loaded with antioxidants and phytochemicals, health-promoting plant compounds that support optimal health. The high fiber content of plant-based foods helps support a healthy weight. Fiber aids in digestion and provides bulk, therefore helps keep you full. If you're full and satisfied, you're more likely to stick to your diet plan and not overeat."
Everything in Moderation
Scherzinger doesn't deprive herself of anything, but rather enjoys a healthy balanced diet. She told Women's Health, "When I'm going to indulge, I love pasta, pizza, I love Mexican with lots of cheese. I love French fries, or [chips]," Mitri explains, "Allowing cheat days or cheat meals provides balance and reduces feelings of restriction. If your diet is too restrictive where you don't allow your favorite foods, it can increase your risk of overeating and weight regain over time. Maintaining a balance of enjoying your favorite foods in moderation will help keep the weight off. This is because you will not feel like you're on a diet, so you'll be less likely to veer off your plan or overeat."
She's a Yogi
The singer enjoys doing yoga and has recently posted pics of her doing impressive poses.
TJ Mentus, an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Certified USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach and review board at Garage Gym Reviews says, "Yoga has many benefits. It is a great way to stretch the muscles and improve movement while learning to be more in tune with the body. The joints and muscles will receive a lot of physical benefit from this as it helps them to recover and increase blood flow through them. Mentally, yoga is helpful because it requires complete attention as many of the poses are challenging, unfamiliar, and may need balance. This helps to relieve mental stress as the mind becomes fully engaged with the task at hand. At the same time, muscular tension and stress are being reduced as well."
She Hikes
Scherzinger often posts pics of her hiking and Janet Coleman, a registered dietitian with The Consumer Mag says, "Hiking is one of the best ways to stay in shape without putting stress on your joints or straining your muscles. The reason hiking works so well for weight loss and fitness is because of the wide range of benefits and actions it promotes in the human body. As a result, this activity has gained popularity amongst fitness experts, health gurus, and enthusiasts alike. So, hiking is an excellent way to keep weight off of your body, promote overall health and fitness, and allow you to spend some quality time in nature."
