"Sometimes lunch goes out of the window, so I like to have something wholesome for breakfast. I tend to start the day with a bowl of sugar-free Alpen," she has said. Alpen has oats in it. "Oatmeal is a great option whether you make it simple or dress it up with fruit, seeds and nuts. But besides just being an Instagram-worthy bowl of goodness, oatmeal offers a particularly impressive benefit," says the Cleveland Clinic. "Eating just one and one-half cups of cooked oatmeal a day can lower your cholesterol by 5 to 8%."

"If you're worried about your heart health, eating at least two servings of fish per week could reduce your risk of heart disease," says the Mayo Clinic. "For many years, the American Heart Association has recommended that people eat fish rich in unsaturated fats at least twice a week. The unsaturated fats in fish are called omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids may reduce inflammation throughout the body. Inflammation can damage your blood vessels, and lead to heart disease and strokes."
