She Stars with a Healthy Diet

Chantel maintains that she "eats pretty healthy" but added that her method is "not really dieting," to the Daily Mail. "'There's things I don't eat, and it's become a lifestyle," she explained. "I have problems with a lot of different foods and when I eat them I don't feel so good so I try to stick to exactly what I'm supposed to eat so that I don't feel sick and then I just stay in shape because everything's pretty healthy." She once posted a page from her diet journal on Twitter, explaining that her diet is "high protein, high fat." Some of the regular foods she eats includes turkey bacon, coconut, olives, avocado, ground turkey, eggs, kale, mushroom, peppers, spinach, fish, chia seeds and cauliflower rice. "I try to stay away from sugar as much as possible," she added to the Daily Mail. "I don't eat dairy or gluten because I'm allergic."

She Strives to Be Authentic

Authenticity is important to Chantel. "I never feel like I need to change for somebody else, but I have this thing with trying to become the best version of myself," she told Euphoria. "I also feel like I should be someone who's real and be someone who others can relate to and know that I'm not perfect– because none of us are– so I never want to hide my flaws and make people feel like I'm an unattainable version of a human. If anything, it's just me being my real, authentic self. It's the only way that I want to be and just share things about myself that are my insecurities or were my insecurities at one point. I've become pretty good at accepting them."

Hydration is a key part of Chantel's health. In her food diary, she revealed that she avoids fruit juice and instead drinks "lots of water." "Even though something contains 100% fruit juice, it may be very processed and refined," says Dr. Donald Hensrud, medical director of the Mayo Clinic Healthy Living Program, to the Mayo Clinic. "So what ends up in the glass is not what came from the fruit itself. For example, apple juice: It's processed very highly, and it's basically sugar water without a lot of nutrients."

Chantel swears by a social media hack to help quell anxiety. "So I saw this thing on TikTok and it was like, whenever you get anxious, a tip is to say to yourself, 'Oh I'm excited,'" she said in a Instagram video. "Then just think of what you could be excited about," she added. "Try to think of that feeling as excitement." She maintains that it is seriously effective. "I've been doing it and it's actually been really working. So, if you want to try something out if you have anxiety, why not? Like ooh I'm excited. What entertaining thing is going to happen? Like ooh and then I forget about my anxiety. I still have that feeling, but now I'm thinking about some fun stuff."
