Cargill trains under the mentorship of famed wrestler Bryan Danielson. "I'm learning a whole different style of wrestling," Cargill tells Muscle & Fitness. "Grappling and that sort of thing. I'm used to the 'big man' style of just throwing people. He is such an intelligent man, he has so much knowledge. Right now, I'm actually getting more in-tune with British wrestling and prior to this I didn't have much knowledge of it, and how different the style is but also how technical it is, so I'm learning all of that right now and trying to fit it into my form of wrestling. It's a blessing, I'm very thankful."

Family Comes First

Cargill says she couldn't do what she does without the support of her family. "It means the world to me because my daughter was there the first time I was in the ring," she says. "I was getting beat up by 300-pound guys [in training], and watching her cry about it and having to go over every two minutes and comfort her. Now she is screaming to kick and punch and do these things in the ring. She gave me pep talks, and we cut promos with one another. Just having my daughter there inspires me a lot because I'm here for the next generation. If my daughter ever wants to pursue wrestling, she has some shoes to fill. I want her to feel comfortable walking into this type of industry. I want her to see the representation of a black woman."

She Embraces Her Amazing Physique

"I've been in sports all my life, so I've been attracted to bodybuilding forever," Cargill says. "I watched [WWE female legend] Chyna when I was growing up, and I was muscular growing up. I would get picked on because of how built I was and seeing her embody her presence, it made me love myself and say: 'You know what? I love my body and I want to get stronger.'"

She Loves Fresh Fruit

Cargill enjoys fresh, seasonal fruit, especially strawberries. "Consuming strawberries appears to slow down our digestion of glucose and moderates our use of insulin, especially when they are eaten with a high carb meal," says registered nutritionist Jo Lewin. "It's the colorful anthocyanins which appears to action this effect. Strawberries have a low glycaemic index (GI) and as such help moderate blood sugar release. Studies suggest that a diet with plenty of low GI foods may be beneficial for weight management and for reducing the incidence of obesity-related diseases. Strawberries are also low in calories, yet sweet tasting so may be helpful as a sweet fix."

She Meditates

Cargill makes time for meditation when she can. "Meditation can give you a sense of calm, peace and balance that can benefit both your emotional well-being and your overall health," says the Mayo Clinic. "You can also use it to relax and cope with stress by refocusing your attention on something calming. Meditation can help you learn to stay centered and keep inner peace. And these benefits don't end when your meditation session ends. Meditation can help carry you more calmly through your day. And meditation may help you manage symptoms of certain medical conditions."
